  1. Seriously, what is the problem with Kyle? Everybody hates on him, even his former team traded him like he was yesterdays potato salad, and all he does is produce. It's a perfect match...the QB nobody knows about goes to the team they all forgot about. Let's give him some Buffalove.
  2. I would say that Maybin was RW. When Nevergiveup was posting about the draft, he mentioned that the Ohio State/Buffalo Bills connection was no mistake (see Whitner, Donte.) He made this comment in reference to somebody suggesting Tressel as our HC. It would not surprise me if RW has a friend in Happy Valley, and determined that Maybin was going to be a star.
  3. Well good for Joe D... Did Joe D mention that Nix, the guy who is supposed to be in charge of bringing players in, mentioned all of this. Gailey should be focused on running a tight ship and putting together a winning game plan with the pieces provided to him by Nix. That is how a real NFL franchise is run. We are on the right track. We have a GM and an HC that are on the same page. That is key. As far as Lefevre, if his stock is rising, and my hopes get crushed when we don't land McNabb, why not take him in the 2nd. It is great if you are supposed to take best player available, but we have a black !@#$ing hole at QB. I do like Brohm, and think there might be something there, but would it be a problem to have 2 good QB's? Close your eyes and imagine us trading a back up for draft picks, because we have two QBs worth a damn on the roster at the same time....ahhhhhh, feels good.
  4. While the fact you might have to take some **** from the Eagles fans doesn't bother me, and won't bother you if he is our QB either. Maybe we can trade for Ricky Williams, then trade him straight up. Maybe then the fans will be happy because they got the guy they wanted. As far as the trade, I will supply the tape, but they can't have my Red Swingline Stapler...
  5. For anybody that hasn't seen the 50th Anniversary DVD, I highly recommend it. Cookie is given a fair shake on the DVD. The story about him running over the Patriot on the first play of the game at Fenway is priceless. Truly a shame that most fans don't even know who he is....
  6. What would you recommend? A Rolex? The season tickets weren't enough...maybe that is the problem. Very insightful, for a mindless post bashing your team.
  7. I play fantasy, and I hope my guys tank against the Bills. Bills fan first. Sorry for my son, but if he was on the other team...he would understand. The only way that would change is if we already won a ring. I have no comparison, since my favorite player of all time is Kelly, only a Bill, but if he would have come back a Raven, when it was rumored, I would never root for the Ravens. Unfortunately when they would have come to the Ralph, aside from the warm applause to start, he would have been an opposing QB. I would have a hard time swallowing if he would have won a ring in a different city. To have any other team attached to his legacy would have broke my heart. I am also partial to Beebe, but his ring in GB did nothing for me. I was happy for him, couldn't happen to a nicer guy, but I didn't have any of the burden of my fandom lifted.
  8. I would rank her above ESPN insiders...seriously I might piss my pants...that is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time!!
  9. Nix has strong ties to colleges in the south...hence Wood, Nelson picks. Does anybody really think that when Jauron was fired, it was completely coincidental that we pluck Brohm off of the GB PS? GB, I am willing to bet, didn't get too hyped about, publicly about him, because instead of carrying 3 QB's they went with 2, to allow more roster space for OL, which was as bad as our Island of Misfit Toys version at the end of the year. He got swiped by a clever scout...Nix. I think time will tell with Brohm. Then Nix goes and gets a coach known for developing QB's. He knows there are many holes, as everybody loves to point out, on this team...he has limited $$ and attractiveness for FA's, making the draft that much more important. My personal opinion is that Nix is dumb like a fox.
  10. Is there no chance of Weiss making a move to get his boy? I know they have Cassell, who is Haley's boy, but if they could trade that nut-a## contract to a St. Louis or somebody other than us, I feel they would really look at that possibility. If Clausen is as talented as claimed, he wouldn't need to worry about learning the system, because he already played in that exact NFL system...
  11. Who cares what Marty says. Clayton, Schefter, Trey Wingo, Mike and Mike, Schlop and Bullfrog, and the guy with more access than RW himself, Sully, already confirmed this to be BS.
  12. Thanks NGU... One possibility is Marty was fired after going 14-2, because of an alleged rift with AJ Smith... Nix and Marty may be friends. They might have a barbecue, even golf once in a while... Nix would know what really happened in SD. Not many coaches get canned after a 14-2 season. Maybe he didn't like the prospect of trying to rebuild a franchise with Marty at the helm, for whatever reason it is you fire a 14-2 HC. Does this mean they can't be friends? No. Buddy may have seen it to be better off left at that, and really looked for somebody he believed could work with him to overcome the daunting challenges laid out in front of him. We wanted a splashy coach...the Bills never said that. They made an attempt at Cowher, but when he wasn't given total control, he wasn't really interested. Giving an HC total control proves disastrous time after time. We, the fans, are so hungry for a winning team, that we didn't want to face the facts, and viewed Cowher as something more than he is capable of being (myself included,) which Nix never did. We'll give you $, but total control....not so much. Cowher didn't NEED the job, and probably wasn't sure if he wanted the job, and that was enough to deter him. I have some faith in Nix. It may have been a fast hire by RW, but I think he might be the lightning in a bottle. Just an opinion.
  13. Thanks, bro...The wake up was really necessary!!! That settles it...might as well just cut Brohm. He had his great college career, was a 2nd pick, was drafted by a team with a starting QB, hit a bump in the road...we gave him start with our fine-tuned offense, and he failed. Time to face reality....if this kid hasn't gotten it by now, he just never will. Thanks, Albany, from the fans and the coaching staff. Whewwww!! They were probably almost going to waste their time looking at a QB that people compared to Kelly coming out of college!! They must not have seen his start!! I think you need something else to complain about...
  14. My take is Gailey says, he knows you have to run the football to win. He also says he will address character right away. So besides making Kawika delete his Twitter account, I hope that means he is going to take Lynch aside immediately. I would guess that he will not trade Lynch. This team has too many holes to fill, and whether fans (some, not all) like it or not, a well-conditioned Lynch is the kind of guy you build an offense around. I would see him trying to mentor Lynch and letting him and Jackson be the two headed monster that they can be. I think that Lynch will be on a short list, and not have his off the field antics tolerated. This being said, I really hope he turns it around. It sucks that this kid has a chance to be something special, but he finds some sort of attraction in the lifestyle of a thug. If Marshawn thinks that ghetto is cool, while he is a multi-millionaire with a chance to provide a living for himself and a family that we can't even comprehend that's going to have to be his fate. I find it a little hard to blame guys that had no direction under Jauron...I am not saying Jauron is the reason Marshawn is a jerk, but he never would have held his feet to the fire, he just would have said nothing and let him ruin this chance that most only dream of.
  15. That and he is an a#$hole. Bulldog is about 5 minutes away from a stroke. He does the stuttering sports radio guy thing.... Maybe the fact that they are pretty much the only gig in town, and can't get close to the Bills has something to do with it. I am sure his arrogance is forcing him to trash the Bills because he knows that he isn't even a flea on their balls... Although being a complaining, disgruntled fan is pretty chic these days. The best part is Schopp is a jerk about the team, the fans, and is tongue in cheek with Bulldog half of the time...
  16. Rome is hilarious. Cowherd is a pompous ass. Rome is pompous, but at least he is charming. I won't say people that don't like him don't get it, because you can have your opinion, and might not share my sense of humor. I have been on/off listener for years, and I appreciate "The Jungle." Manual buzzer is fantastic. Rome is basically the only radio sports personality that doesn't have the patented stuttering-whiny voice, possibly coupled with an over-zealous side kick. I guess the real good news is there are other stations....
  17. That is good stuff...
  18. That is exactly what I was thinking. It would be great to see these two on the field together by the start of the season. Reading Butler's comments, you would have thought it was an RB-released statement. Here I go...I am getting excited about next year! I know that is a bad thing to say around these parts, but who gives a s#$t? It is not Jauron and Co.
  19. Playoffs was the absolute best outburst ever. I will never hear the name Mora again, and not hear that in my head, if I can refrain from saying it out loud. In sadder news...I miss the playoffs...
  20. The "no research" part is evident.
  21. Awesome post. Thanks.
