I am glad we arn't running out signing Free Agents.
Beebe's Kid replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How many players on the Colts played for another team? I don't remember the exact number, but it is single digits, and one of them is Vinaterri. They seem to be pretty competitive. Washington is constantly going through another big change, because they spend a ton of cash on aging players in FA, and it never seems to work out. Players that are truly invaluable to their teams never hit free-agency. Ones that do are guys that are not worth the asinine amount of money they are going to demand. -
We should trade for QB Charlie Whitehurst

Thank you for making sense. -
Has Trent Edwards said ANYTHING since his demotion?
Beebe's Kid replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He can get it 30 yards down field on only 2 bounces. All of this and it is still within 4 yards of the player. Sweet !@#$, do we need help. -
I thought we'd already given him a chance? I think I gave him about 20 chances, then he came out and admitted he wasn't a fan, and then fell on his sword in the Tennessee game. No thanks. I regret my supporting him over JP. If we had given JP half as many chances, there is a chance we wouldn't be QB shopping. So, as far as Trent goes....no, no, and !@#$ no.

Bills Weather Conditions for Home Games (Stats)
Beebe's Kid replied to SouthernMan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The SF game was bad, but no where near the Giants game. The game against the Giants was the most miserable weather I have ever experienced at a game. The rain was blowing sideways, and it was freezing by the 4th Qtr. Wretched!! The QB for the weather thing is a ridiculous argument. It will be made forever, because we want to believe that we have more resilience for the elements, but truth is, where one is from really has no bearing on that. A QB will not make any better throws because he is from Sheboygan, WI. Playing in weather comes down to being able to make adjustments. You have to be able to make decisions while factoring in the weather, and know your athletic ability. That's it. There are warm weather QBs that did well in the elements, and many QBs from areas on inclement weather that flamed out. -
OP= Epic Fail. The amazing collection of TV Theme show lyrics is all that makes this thread readable.

Terrence Cody's Awesome Pecs
Beebe's Kid replied to prissythecat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Turns out that was not a picture of Cody, that was his mother. -
No kidding! Who is he with there his P.O.? Are we sure that is not a woman in the picture?

Because you have never told us that you can see into the future. So, now that you have spoken, it's official. Who will lead us to the promise land, wise one?

Shanahan would have been a retread too, just an arrogant, overpaid one. Bellicheat was a retread, as have several other winning coaches. If we would have hired a guy out of NE people would have thought differently, because they came from some great system. Maybe this is the beginning of another great system? Everybody has to start somewhere...

But you did feel the need to call him out, and make it an issue, without no information. That's fitting. As far as Campbell, I would rather pass. I do think he is better than Edwards, and I would rather not even see him on the roster next year. I trust Nix/Gailey to find a QB they think CG can work with and develop. Maybe Campbell is that guy... I don't think he has ever given up, so that gives him the job over TE.

Howard Simon flips out on a caller
Beebe's Kid replied to Deep2Moulds46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After a very intense .3 second debate, I have come to the difficult conclusion that...this is a chance I am willing to take. It's ok to admit you were wrong about Trent. I had to. I was a big Trent fan, and I was very vocal about how I thought he was a real QB...unfortunately, I was wrong. It feels better to finally admit that he sucks, it was like I was lying to myself for a long time. I kept saying he was good, yet he wasn't giving me any ammunition to defend him with. When I admitted he was a kitty-B word, the weight of the world was lifted off of my shoulders. -
NFL's Most Dysfunctional Team
Beebe's Kid replied to billsfreak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Man, you did it again... the whole !@#$ing post was epic, then you had to drop the Obamanomics bomb. I like my politics too, but for !@#$'s sake friend, let's lay down our arms in the Bills forum. If you cut us, do we not both bleed red and blue? -
NFL's Most Dysfunctional Team
Beebe's Kid replied to billsfreak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They are on the cusp, however, because of this man. Darth...right on brother. I agree 100% with your rant. I think this Dan Myers should square off with Joe Logan in a steel-cage match. My apologies to the poster who has a man-crush on Danny, but I think a shirtless fist-fight is the only way this is going to be settled. -
Howard Simon flips out on a caller
Beebe's Kid replied to Deep2Moulds46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That was awesome. I like Simon. He is about the only thing worth a damn in the WGR studio. Schopp and Bullfrog are worthless. Bullfrog is at least a Bills fan, but he has to pretend he doesn't care because Schopp makes it "uncool" to be a Bills fan. They were talking about the most loved athletes in Buffalo Sports, past or present, and their list was Miller, Myers, Ruff, then everybody else was way down the line. I like these guys, and possibly Miller really is the face of Buffalo sports right now, but when a couple callers mentioned Byrd and Jackson. They just said they were not even close. Those are guys that come to mind for me, as does Poz. They said the only Bill considered would be Morman....the punter. I guess that they have just realized we will not take Tebow at #9, in the last week shows how in tune they are. It was great to hear a Buffalo media member get passionate. -
Seems like a stop-crap QB to me.

Its time to ACTUALLY start rebuilding.
Beebe's Kid replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Clausen will surely break the trend of QB busts from ND, which was started as you pointed out, with Mirer and Quinn... come to think of it, with a couple exceptions, I am having trouble finding the gems in this list... 1) Steve Beuerlein - played between 1988-2003 for the Raiders, Cowboys, Cardinals, Jaguars, Panthers, and Broncos. 2) Tom Clement - played in 1980 for the Chiefs. 3) Kent Graham - played between 1992-2001 for the Giants, Cardinals, Steelers, and Redskins. 4) Ralph Guglielmi - Played in 1955 and 1958-1963 for the Redskins, Cardinals, Giants, and Eagles. 5) Terry Hanratty - played between 1969-1976 for the Steelers and Buccaneers. 6) John Huarte - played between 1966-1972 for the Patriots, Eagles, Chiefs, and Bears. 7) George Izo - played between 1960-1966 for the Cardinals, Redskins, Lions, and Steelers. 8) Jarious Jackson - played between 2000-2003 for the Broncos. 9) Ken Karcher - played in 1977 and 1978 for the Broncos. 10) Blair Kiel - played between 1984-1991 for the Buccaneers, Colts, and Packers. 11) Greg Knafelc - played in 1983 for the Saints. 12) Daryle Lamonica - played between 1963-1974 for the Bills and Raiders. 13) Rusty Lisch - played between 1980-1984 for the Cardinals and Bears. 14) Rick Mirer - played between 1993-2000 and 2003 for the Seahawks, Bears, Jets, 49ers, and Raiders. 15) Joe Montana - played between 1979-1994 for the 49ers and Chiefs. 16) Tommy O'Connell - played in 1953, 1956-1957, and 1960-1961 for the Bears, Browns, and Bills. 17) Brady Quinn - played between 2007-present for the Browns. 18) George Ratterman - played between 1950-1956 for the Yanks and Browns. 19) Joe Theismann - played between 1974-1985 for the Redskins. 20) Frank Tripucka - played between 1949-1952 and 1960-1963 for the Lions, Cardinals, Texans, and Broncos. 21) Bob Williams - played in 1951, 1952, and 1955 for the Bears. 22) George Wilson - played in 1966 for the Dolphins. 23) Boley Dancewicz - played between 1946-1948 for the Yanks. 24) Johnny Lujack - played between 1948-1951 for the Bears. 25) Steve Nemeth - played in 1945 for the Rams. 26) Ed Rutkowski - played between 1963-1968 for the Bills. -
We aren't that !@#$ing desperate!! I'd rather have Namath.

An Alternative to a New Stadium for Buffalo
Beebe's Kid replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't get a chance to get up to the display for the 50th anniversary (is that still up?) but a museum would be a great idea. The area is crazy about this team. Even have some players make autograph appearances, and other such events. This is a great idea!! I love it!! It makes sense to me, and it doesn't involve moving vans or a roof!!
