  1. I have always liked the underdog...we've got nowhere to go but up.
  2. "an urban myth?" Does this mean that it is not true in rural areas? Also the claim that I have always seen is within one score, which would constitute a "winnable" game. Conditioning was obviously a huge issue. I believe it was probably in the top two....right behind the fact that our offense was like a Tecmo Bowl playbook.
  3. That's how you make the playoffs. Own the division. That is encouraging. I, like all of us, threw up in my mouth when we hired Gailey. Then I did a little reading, and said I would give him a shot. I liked Nix from his first presser. The more these two do, the more I like them. Our playoff drought will be over in the next 3 years.
  4. Aside from the fact that Fitz can not really throw a football, he didn't look bad. I think he gets cut. If there is any kind of truth to the Troy Smith rumors floating around, I think Fitzy has to be the first to go.
  5. Bravo!! Well said! It would be a lot better if it had any relevance to the original post, however. So quick to be a dickhead, you forgot to read and, subsequently, comprehend the topic at hand. Remember you should always try to make somebody else feel like **** before you concern yourself with having any !@#$ing clue what you are talking about. You are the epitome of "Diehard," sir, and my hat is off to you.
  6. Oh sweet !@#$...Chambers is like a bad penny.
  7. It's how he puts food on his table.
  8. Ahhh the old "I am not a negative douche that nobody can stand, I am a realist" argument. Classic. As far as being "one of most disliked one here," you need to remember that you aren't that important. There are 1000's of disenchanted miserable pricks just like you, many of whom are far more scathing than yourself. Be true to who you are...you do you, son. You seem to be doing well with that. However, as the little window to your soul opens, and we all see the hurt child inside, it would be easier if you just told us who hurt you. Who did this to you? A problem shared is a problem solved, and then, maybe only then, you will be able to truly be true to yourself. chin up, bucco!!
  9. It would be easy to call this crazy, but I don't think it is far off. The major difference I see is that I don't believe Gailey was in the equation and/or made the call for the Brohm move. I think Nix was definitely brought here to take over at GM and run the show once Dickie floundered. I think it was Nix that wanted Brohm. I have heard that Nix has deep ties to schools in the south, and that he was a big reason we picked up Nelson and Wood. GB was trying to get away with one hiding Brohm on the PS. They needed extra depth at OL, so they only carried 2 QBs. After a brief preseason, in which he had serious confidence issues, Brohm was the one they thought they could stash on the PS. I don't remember the exact amount that Brohm is making, but it is millions...he is not here for the league minimum. GB matching that offer is significant, although it is continually downplayed by posters. The kid was a highly recruited HS QB, and was very successful in college. He has the tools, and unlike TE or RF, he looks like a QB. I hope he wins the job, and gives us something to cheer for.
  10. That's a bad mother shut your mouth. I guess I don't know anything about anything, because a 6 minute highlight video of domination in the SEC seems pretty impressive. I don't even know how long his fingers are supposed to be, or what his bench reps should be, or his vertical... Again, a fool like me would probably go off of something like what a player does on the field. Oh...he also showed more emotion in a 6 minute clip than I have seen out of Schobel/Kelsay and crew, combined.
  11. Wow...well when you put it like that, Sunshine... Are you having a bad day, or are you always this miserable? <<<< if anything that a fan on a message board makes you feel like this, you need one of the following: 1. A blowjob 2. A doobie 3. A lobotomy 4. To bump up your Prozac 5. All of the above.
  12. There it is. They can pull the Major League and after every win they can take a piece of Faulk's clothing off. I, personally, like being the underdog. Expectations are crushing. We truly have nothing to lose. It has been that way for a while, regardless that we beat some respectable teams, and as much as last season sucked we were in almost every game. I have said it 100 times.... I would show the players all of this ****. Tell them "There it is. They are all laughing at you. How does that make you feel? "
  13. Chris Ellis was a bad ass in college. I would like to see him develop. Kelsay doesn't fit the new system....come to think of it, he didn't fit our old system. I know "career year" with his 5 sacks last year. If we could trade a sack for him to make on of the many missed tackles he had....no nevermind sucks. I know CG will like Hardy's size...his work ethic is going to be questioned. I know he was injured, but he really couldn't have been less impressive his rookie year. I know a lot of hearts bled when he got hurt, and if he could run a route, I would have been one of them. McCargo....been too long already. Draft...buh bye. I don't know if there will be a lot of surprise cuts, but I think there will be a lot of veterans cut. I still don't really know what the big beef with Mitchell is.
  14. Now, Senator, while I am a fan or your filibusters, and you obvious man-crush on Leech, and all that he has done, I do believe it is a little preposterous to predict the young man's greatness without him having so much as made a roster. Seriously thought....look at his numbers. The guy should have been scooped by us in the final weeks of last year, we knew what we had, and it's limits. I guess that they must really like Brohm, which is great. What does this mean, exactly? CFL >>>>Arena Football. To every make a statement that Kurt Warner was dealt a better hand than anybody is ridiculous. I really never cared for the guy, since he wasn't on the Bills, but it is the best rags to riches story in the history of pro sports. That was even before he was written off as washed up, and came back to dominate with Arizona. Warner and Harrell is an asinine comparison. Harrell had one of the greatest college QB careers ever, to deny that guy has an obvious talent for QB is almost offensive. Warner, if you called that one I'll take you to the track with me.
  15. You can't seem to find the Trent play to compare to, as Brohm actually was in possession of a pair of testicles when he made that throw. You really don't think that Nix had anything to do with Brohm coming to this team? Really? I suppose you don't think they knew right around the time Richie Jauron was bagged that Nix would be the GM? I have a feeling this was a foregone conclusion. I have read that it was Nix's relationship with southern schools that led to us drafting Wood, Nelson and others... I am willing to bet that Nix, whether or not he lays claim to it, brought Brohm here. Brohm is a real QB. He has had success at all levels, minus the NFL up to this point. He had some rough times in a couple preseason games in GB, and they put him on the PS to allow themselves to carry more lineman. We snagged him. Flynn keeps getting the hand release, but truth be told, Brohm is a better QB. What Flynn had over Brohm was confidence, and you couldn't have your 2nd stringer be a deer in the headlights. Brohm has addressed these issues, and you can put your favorite gonad on it, that BROHM will be our starter. I will go a step further, and say that BROHM will make the homecoming court, also known as the Pro Bowl in the next 2 years.
  16. Wow...are you out of your pills again? It really wasn't that crazy, but your reply is screaming "extended stay in mental health." I must have missed when they tracked down Edwards and asked if he could play QB, or any other player if they could play their position. It doesn't matter what the players think, it matters what national blowhards, like Kiper and Co. think, and the local blowhards like Sully. These players are filled with a lot of pride. They know what most of the fans and local media think of them. They know they are a laughing stock in this league. I hope that one of these veterans has the nuts to put it on Front St on the first day of camp. I would use this as ammo to fire these guys up. This team was so poorly coached that a lot of fans are convinced there is no talent here. I am sure that these guys would like nothing more than to prove that they belong. We'll see shortly, and I think we'll be pleasantly surprised** **Disclaimer: you must possess the ability to be pleasantly surprised, in order to actually be pleasantly surprised. If you are incapable of positive thought, that is a condition that will plague your existence for eternity, as well as those around you. The Bills will get better, but you will still be a miserable prick. Cheers!!
  17. Maybin could be a great OLB. I hope he makes he transition. The only people that don't like Poz are Bills fans on message boards. Buddy/Chan didn't need to say anything about him, because he is a !@#$ing player, and it doesn't need to be said. Mitchell looks a lot like the guy that carried our D a lot of times throughout the last couple years, but I must have him mistaken for somebody else. Unless a Twitter account makes you worse at linebacker, I don't know what the issue with KM is. I am sure it is purely rooted in good solid logic, my most witch hunts on these boards are. Schobel isn't coming back, Kelsay was too slow to play DE, how is he going to transition to LB? I don't know why people want to give these guys slow head and bash the people that play hard on this team. I am confident that this staff will "flood the floor" and rely on their proven track record of talent evaluation to pick a solid LB core from the group.
  18. It's all on. The guys running this team are crazy. Crazy like a fox. If any team has the chance to shock, it's us. We are the laughing stock of the league. Our FA was laughed at, our draft was laughed at. Nix never flinched. The Raiders, Lions, Browns all made splashy moves, and are going to be figured to improve. That's great. We will finish over .500 and stand an outside chance at making the post season. I mean this year. You can take that to the bank. I just hope that the negative !@#$'s aren't too sad if we make the playoffs, and "mess" up our draft pick.
  19. Well I don't care how he plays...fact remains that he should have been drafted lower, so I will have a hard-on for every play he misses and scream for a trade for each one. I will curse the ground that Nix stands on and say that he was unworthy of a 2nd rounder. I will do this ad nauseum. To the OP, nice post. Thanks for sharing!!!
  20. Boy, you're right. I don't want him to say "I think he'll make the team better" or "I think this is a step in the right direction," or anything like that. I just want him to say the Bills suck, he's an !@#$, that we just drafted some pos to go with all the other pos's we have, and that why try, and then just say !@#$ it and quit right there. What do you want him to say, exactly?
  21. ...or any player or real fan. As much as a fantasy world as you live in, do you, OP, really think that the players would throw games for a !@#$ing pick? These are professional athletes, and they have an immense amount of pride, they will not lose on purpose. I think Trent's comments, when he first spoke about Gailey and Co. are telling. Richard Jauron and his band of gypsies were a cluster !@#$. They wanted to win, and were as tired of playing "not to lose" as we were. It also spoke that there were no real leaders. A little coaching and a real GM will change this team dramatically. All the players you think are so bad, will surprise you. I guarantee it.
  22. Quickly reading over your post, the thing that jumped out at me was Evans and Jackson as leaders. Jackson may develop into a leader, but that is one thing I would never accuse Lee Evans of. I love Evans. I think he is underrated and unappreciated by a large portion of !@#$stick fans, but he is not a leader. I only bring that up because I think your assessment of Tebow is dead-on. He is a leader, and would be a great addition to a team with no offensive guidance. Nice post, GO BILLS!!
  23. If Spiller is an elite talent, why not take him now? Jackson isn't getting any younger, and if we don't address RB, it will be a need next year. If he is the BPA at #9, take him. While it is true that a good line makes a avg RB look good, the opposite is true. CJ made Tennessee a contender, almost on his own. Their pass defense was horrific, and he allowed VY to flourish. You had to account for him, both running and receiving, and that allowed their below avg WR to make plays. I think if he's there, you have to take Spiller....glad my job doesn't depend on it though!!
  24. No, I think she is serious. Everyone in her life must love to see her coming...Little Ms. Sunshine.
