  1. I went to Dallas this past weekend for the Packers-Cowboy game. Went with my daughter who has been a Cowboy fan her entire life. She always comes with me for our Annual Buffalo Game. Packers ran at will on Cowboys, and toss in an Aaron Rogers A game and it was no contest. They look very good. Think they made some bad calls on D allowing Cowboys back in game (Got burned Man to Man coverage on 2 long Passing TDs). But it wasn't really close. I came away very impressed with Pack. One more thing...It was F***ing HOT there. We'll be up for Dolphins game in 2 weeks when it will likely be 40 degrees
  2. Dallas. Live downstate and even their many fans here are insufferable. Except for my daughter ☹️ Ironically, she has always liked the Cowboys (She's 28) . She roots for Bills because I do and we come up for at least 1 game a year. She hates the Giants, which is some consolation . I'm going to Dallas next week for the Green Bay Game with her. Its always been a lifelong dream so we'll go as a Father Daughter thing and we'll have a good time. Wearing my Bills Gear. We'll see. No hatred for Pack. I went to Green Bay last year for our Stomping by the Packers and still had a great time. Wisconson Fans are great hosts and there are some small market similarities. Tailgate was great, they were terrific to the Bills fans. Hard for me to hate the Pack, as the Ice Bowl made me a football fan. Best line- A fat guy in Bills Gear struggled through the benches at Lambeau with an enormous Bratwurst to his seat mid 4th Q when we were down 22-0, and in Field Goal range. Some Packer fan got up and Bellowed "You came a long way for a Brat and 3 Points !!!" Couldn't help but laugh. Took a sack next play and never got the field goal. Not a fan of Pete Carroll and the Obnoxious Seahawks of a few years ago. But they've come down to earth.
  3. Something I like. Very few negative plays. Always seems to get something. Loved Shady but he sprinked in a lot of -3 and -5 yard plays with his positive yards. Gore doing what he was brought here to do. Need to get the other guy back though.
  4. I love point #4. Got a little sloppy with pre snap penalties on offense today. But overall discipline is much better. Doing the routine things at pace. Out of the huddle and quick to line up, fewer delay of game or blown time outs etc. Less bull#### penalties on D. Guys make their tackes and walk away...no trash talk. I'm 60 years old. I've learned that little things count. I trust the process.
  5. Now that I can relax and enjoy rest of week #1...soething occured to me. Nice not to see a ton of penalties. In the Rex Era there was a penalty it seemed on every punt. Much Much better team discipline.
  6. It's true. I live in NY Metro Area and just heard Giants schedule on WFAN. Bills open at Jets week 1, at Giants week 2. Kind of sucks
  7. Guess What? Bills first 2 are at Met Life. At Giants week 2. Just heard Giant sched on WFAN
  8. I grew up on Long Island. I was a Jet fan because of Namath and Super Bowl III. LI had lots of snooty Giant fans and Jets were more of the working Joe's team. I sort of drifted from the Jets as I got more into the NFL as a whole but still rooted for them. Went away to college in 1976 to Postdam, then Albany. I had many WNY friends and went to 5 games late 70s. I just loved the atmosphere and the fans, the parking lots, the parking lawns, the whole scene. Hi-Light was a 1979shootout at Rich Stadium between Bert Jones/Joe Ferguson. Baltimore Colts/Bills. I was hooked. Last straw came later in 1983 -I was furious about Jets abandonment of their LI fans to move in with Giants and started following the Bills exclusively. Been there ever since. I used to make the trip every few years but, last 10 years I've made 1 game per year (I live in Westchester County) and also go to Meadowlands when they are here. Went to Green Bay last year. I've learned through my travels that there are significant numbers of Bills fans around the country, and downstate. Wear the gear and you'll get a shout out in places like Wyoming, Oregon and even Sweden.
  9. Well...we probably won't have home field the first 2 years.....
  10. Would rather he didn't. I'd read once that Duke Snider hurt his throwing arm shortly after the Brooklyn Dodger move to LA. Supposedly fooling around and on a dare tried to throw a baseball out of the cavernous LA Coliseum. He was north of 30 at the time and on the downside of his career......not worth it Josh. Eat the 6K Fine and throw it in the stands during the AFC Championship Game in 2022
  11. I was home, watching on TV. The first half was so depressing that by mid 2Q I decided to terminate Christmas. I went in the living room, started to take ornaments off tree, went to attic for boxes, etc and was just PO'd. Game was still on in other room and about halfway into the 3Q my wife said "You'd better get in here". Needness to say I never finished the Christmas cleanup that day.
  12. Count me in if here's still room. Coming from Dunkirk Sunday. Realize 9A is the cut off if we don't make it understand we'll lose. I always walk past this lot/party on way from Danny's South....Looks awesome. Thanks
  13. Another Newbie. I live downstate and usually make one game a year for past decade or so. Just posted a question on Tailgating board about suggestions parking this Sunday- I usually park at Danny's South but tiring of it and looking for a new tailgate spot. Does it take hours to get out of this lot after games? Long drive home for me, but this looks like a lot of fun. If it's hopeless getting out of there (like more than an hour) please advise. Thanks
  14. Hey all.... Down Stater here. I usually get out there for one game per year. I've been a fan since I went to my first Bills game at Rich Stadium in 1979 (against Baltimore Colts: Joe Ferguson v Bert Jones !!) when I was in college. This is a miserable year to come.. in fact, most years are...but we always have a good time. I usually park at Danny's South, so I can get out asap and hit the road for the 5.5-hour trip home. Tiring of that lot though, and looking for something else this year. Any suggestions where I can park around 9A, set up a grill, and not take hours to escape? Preferably with a Porta San nearby. Thanks
