  1. OUCH!! https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/colts-fans-start-petition-to-prevent-jeff-saturday-from-being-hired-as-head-coach/ With Saturday being included in the interview process, fans are taking it as an opportunity to have their voices heard. On Wednesday, Colts fans launched a petition on Change.org called "Don't hire Jeff Saturday as head coach." The petition currently has over 2,000 signatures. In addition to signing the petition, Colts fans are tweeting the hashtag #SaturdayLeave at team owner Jim Irsay in order to make their frustrations known.
  2. In addition to all of the aforementioned bands: Stone Temple Pilots Jane's Addiction Radiohead Green Day Weezer Nine Inch Nails Foo Fighters Counting Crows Red Hot Chili Peppers EDIT: Crap ... I need to pick four ... Nirvana Soundgarden Alice in Chains Jane's Addiction
  3. ... and a passionate OC ...
  4. What if it's one a them Texas Roadhouse rolls with their cinnamon butter?
  5. When you hear this sound a-comin' Hear the drummer drumming Won't you join together with the band We don't move in any 'ticular direction And we don't make no collections Won't you join together with the band
  6. Regular Season Warriors. Add THAT to the list of things I have no interest in.
  7. As long as we give some of the best receivers in the NFL a 10-yard cushion/running start, there could never be enough playmakers to overcome a well-coached and well-prepared opposing offense.
  8. TBD is the only message board/fan site I've ever frequented. Lots of good posters seem to have made there way here from BBMB.
  9. I agree that others were deserving of a unanimous nod prior to Rivera. I do think Rivera deserved to be unanimous. But the names 4mer listed EASILY should have been unanimous. You brought up Rickey and it immediately brings me to his career base on balls record being broken by that scumbag, Bonds. Rickey Henderson was an absolute ARTIST at the plate and on the bases. The walks he drew were because he knew the pitchers and he knew how to get into their heads. He actually created the walks. They were not gifts, like Bonds' were. That record being ruined pisses me off nearly as much as the HR records.
  10. For all of my baseball-loving life, when it came down to HOF inductions, I've always asked myself - "When you hear his name, do you automatically think - "yeah, he's a hall of famer?" I always believed that if you were to poll, say, 100 real baseball experts and 80% of them didn't respond with, "definitely," then a player shouldn't be in. I've never thought of Rolen as a Hall of Famer. Solid player, yes. HOFer ... nah. When I think of Arenado, my immediate reaction is, "if he keeps it up, he should definitely be in." Re: Yadier Molina ... I immediately thought "absolutely, yes." His durability, longevity, defense, leadership and ... to a lesser extent, batting (over 1K RBI, .277 lifetime hitter, which is great for a catcher) make him a no-brainer for me.
  11. I think Arenado is on a much higher level than Rolen ever was. He's been in the league for 10 years and has 10 gold gloves, 299 HRs, 968 RBI and 1520 hits, with a lifetime batting average of .289. Surpasses Rolen in every category at the 10 year mark of his career. If Arenado can keep those kinds of stats up for another five years, I think he's a 1st or 2nd ballot HOFer.
  12. Well, I gave you everything I had But you left me sitting on my own Did you have to treat me oh, so bad? All I do is hang my head and moan Tell me why you cried, and why you lied to me
  13. When this question first came up, I said I'd be fine with either Daboll or Shanahan; but that I think Shanahan deserves it more. I still feel the same way. Daboll winning it would be well warranted and I'd be happy for the fluffy fella.
  14. I've always been a big Andruw Jones fan, but I think he's borderline for the HOF. He'll have to get in on his stellar defense, because his batting numbers just aren't there. Class act. Great player. Played the game the right way. He's getting closer each year and at the rate his votes are increasing, if he gets in, it'll likely be in his 10th year of eligibility.
  15. Why on earth would you get married during football season?!?
  16. Brock Purdy is a 7th round pick, third string rookie who has helped lead his team to the Final Four. Jalen Hurts is in his third year as a starter after being a 2nd round pick. I'm not taking anything away from what Siriani has done with Hurts/the Eagles. I just think what Shanahan has done is far more remarkable.
  17. Shanahan, hands down. It should be unanimous.
  18. Looks like Helton is poised to make it in next year. And yes ... he and Beltran are borderline, at best. Sadly, the MLB HOF has become watered down. I agree 100% re: Rolen and with your reasoning. I'd personally rather see them go a decade with no new inductees than force votes. (In my best Columbo voice) - Oh ... there's just one more thing .... Beltran? Yeah ... he can suck it.
  19. I think @plenzmd1 does.
  20. This is exactly where I stood and where I stand. I've lost faith in him.
  21. Yes. Just like you sit around and wait to "correct" people at every chance you get .. You're the COVID expert. You're the football expert. You're the (now, thank GOD) shadow mod, who knows who should say what, where, when and how. Keep sitting in your chair and looking for opportunities to prove to everyone how much smarter you are than them. It's a great look. Really. And everyone loves it. Really.
  22. Miami doesn't even need a Safety. This makes next to no sense at all.
  23. I looked at what I wanted to look at. I don’t give a crap about how long their coaches had coached. I also don’t give a crap that they lost Super Bowls. If you want to put your own spin on it, then dig up your own story and tell it how you want to. Im perfectly content with what I offered.
