The defensive turnaround!!! Top ten unit again?

When he was hired, I remember thinking, "this guy won the ***** Pinstripe Bowl!!! We got ourselves a real HC!!!" Turned out that wasn't really the best litmus test. In seriousness, Marrone was hired into just about the biggest dumpster fire in the NFL. Inept ownership. Inept front office. Was he great? No. But when he left, the Bills had a winning record and a top defense. I never blamed him for bailing with all of the uncertainty. I think he did the best job he could being the head coach of a horribly managed team.

1990 Bills and 2020 Bills coincidence??

Can't be easy doing what you do right now. Be well, be safe and Happy New Year! -
The fact that they're that close to open water. The fact that it's a river. The fact that it was unseasonably warm and rainy not long before.

Could we see Jake Fromm play this Sunday?

Of all fan bases, Bills fans should know to not take backups lightly ... especially Pittsburgh's. Play to win the game, I say. -

Do people realize that we have to, at the very least, have the same record as the Steelers in order to secure the #2 seed? This is not a throwaway game.- 60 replies

It's a bay, so the water isn't running, per se. But it's moving. I fished that bay for decades with my father and albeit not much, the water does move. It's just so early into the winter and the temps have not been conducive to significant ice building. But ... as I said ... they do it every year and no one seems to get hurt, thankfully. I love me some perch, but not that much!!!

Can't really tell how thick the ice is. It can't be very thick, as it was in the 50s less than a week ago. Not to mention, it's a river, so there's moving water. They do it every year, though, and no one has died that I know of. The water is very shallow there, anyway. Still dumb, IMO. EDIT: I misread your post. Didn't see the law part of your question. I don't think there is a law. If it was on state park land and there was a do not go onto the ice sign, I'm sure that would be different.

Picture just taken by a friend of mine who lives on the Hudson River (Big Bay in Queensbury, NY). That’s about six guys ice fishing. Morons.

Assuming the Steelers will lose is unwise. Secure the 2nd seed. Play to win the game.

I think I'm gonna go watch St. Jude's Children Hospital commercials for a couple hours straight to cheer myself up.

For that matter, the Pro Bowl is like the MLB All-Star Game. Both popularity contests. The only difference is that the All-Star Game is actually watchable.
