  1. Yeah just look at how unplugged and social everyone was before cellphones. That’s living life and being present. 🤪 But seriously, this is an interesting read. https://www.garyvaynerchuk.com/this-generation-will-be-fine-why-social-media-wont-ruin-us/
  2. For Von Miller's last game in Buffalo in 2017 they played "My House" by Flo Rida on the PA. At the time I thought it was a poor choice considering they were favored to win. Since then its proven exceptionally fitting considering Emmanuel Sanders and Von were on that Broncos team.
  3. Yet another example of the NFL looking the other way for talented players. Isn't that the ultimate slap in the face of Kaepernick's legacy? We'll put up with numerous domestic abusers, and a high-profile serial sexual assaulter because he's actually good. But you're the only one that ever got "blackballed."
  4. I thought that an early week news drop would indicate a strong NFL ruling, and that a Friday at 5pm news dump would be Watson gets a slap on the wrist. But the majority opinion on Twitter seems to be very pessimistic that the NFL is going to look very good when this is over.
  5. Much has been made of the 2 TE set potential with Howard and Knox. I think featuring those sets would add a wrinkle to what the opposing defense has to prepare for, even if we don't use it often. Not to mention adding the possibility of play action in scenarios that in the Dabol era were clear running formations. However very little has been made of OJ and Dawson's combined injury history. Don't get me wrong, the upside for their tandem is amazing. The ceiling is sky high. But with a longer season and early bye week, it's not unreasonable to prepare for the eventuality that we'll be without either or both of them at some point. Assuming Dorsey is serious about 2 TE sets, are we going to roster an extra TE at the cost of an RB? Do we utilize Morris as a FB/TE hybrid? Are we keeping Wydermyer around for any other reason than he's 6'5" and spells his name weirdly? And just what exactly do we have in Sweeney?
  6. Yes and You really have to wonder just how close players are with their representation. Tom Brady doesn't breathe without permission of his PR. Even his Super Bowl celebration in TB was in 4K and leaked by his people to try to make him an everyman. His golf smack talk is pre-approved. And yet there are the Cole Beasleys and Drew Brees of the world that make you wonder who the hell is looking out for their best interest. If their family/agents/PR people had any clue they were about to insert their feet into their craw, they'd have shut them down fast.
  7. That would still be a 9 hour drive each way. I hope they're flying. I'm an hour SE of RVA and the drives there are murder. Has inflation hit the tolls yet? That's not a thing, right?
  8. Does it look like Poyer was expecting boos? A few Redditors seem to think so. I’m not so sure. The mafia doesn’t control contracts and he’s not holding out.
  9. This is Edmunds year to showcase that he’s got anything other than “wingspan” and “freak measurements.” If he does then pay him, if not, let him walk.
  10. John Cena answered this question a few years ago. He called Taiwan a country and the Chinese government didn’t like that. At the time his net worth was $51M. John Cena apologized to China because he was worried about his future earnings. So the answer of how much wealth is enough is at least more than $51M (add 9% for inflation).
  11. So this means Deshaun gets 6 games at least?
  12. I know nobody wants to admit it, but Tyrod = Fitz. They are two sides of the same drought coin. Different styles under different offenses. The only things they have in common is being genuinely good guys, and not having the tools needed on the roster to be successful. Other than that, it's a pick your poison scenario. Do you want a great team guy who will not lose you the game but end up doing it circuitously, or the gunslinger who will lose your comeback with a 4th quarter interception? You don't have to hate one and love the other. But you do. I'm disappointed. What would grandma say? Tisk tisk.
  13. Maybe his career will have a Shaq Lawson-esqe arc to it so we can welcome him back. I always felt he had Kyle Williams spirit in him if not his level of talent.
  14. Everyone's favorite practice squad WR got into an altercation before the 7/16 game between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Toronto Argonauts.
  15. In the ultimate irony, I heard Jonathan Martin bullied him into retiring. Unconfirmed accounts say that he kept smacking Richie with his own hands and saying, "Quit retiring yourself!" Followed by prank calls asking him if his career was running.
  16. Get ready for backlash like you've never seen if this is true. Not sure why the NFL wants this smoke.
  17. Starting to get the feeling that being picked to be the favorite is the media's way of jinxing us. They want the pressure to be too much. If I was McD, I'd try to use that to keep our underdog mentality.
  18. I'm not sure what's more pie in the sky: that the Lions finally turn around like a pennystock that has underperformed for years, or that Chicago would finally has a coach that embraces their QB's talents instead of fighting against them. Chicago/Detroit = Jets/Miami. Minnesota = New England.
  19. Yes, and To me, it was so reminiscent of the Rex Ryan swagger (with no dagger) years. It took me back in the worst way. Particularly in the hyped-up offseason that "we won." The only difference was that we didn't have a blowhard coach to give opponents bulletin board material. The letdown felt like familiar old times. It's so awesome that now we have a team that a loss like that was a wake up call and got their butts in gear.
  20. The Drought is why we took the Pittsburgh loss "too hard" last season. We've had that feeling before.
  21. Poyer is a good player. His value as an All-Pro and his synchronicity with Hyde is all that stands between him and being dealt. His wife is outspoken and his politics doesn't win him friends in a blue state. Not to mention he was on the naughty list of "non-vaccine enthusiasts" of which only he and Spencer Brown are left. You can say it doesn't or shouldn't factor in, but I'm sure if you asked Beasley or Feliciano, they'd disagree.
