  1. This sucks. Happened in football once we got good and now basketball. It's great to enjoy seasons of success, but for once I'd love a prolonged dynasty like the Stinking Pats.
  2. in order: DE, RT, DT, OLB, TE, RB, WR.
  3. I don't like it. If a team wants to front load a contract with tons of guaranteed money, it's on them. The only clause I could see as a way out would be if the player is forced to retire because of injury (i.e. Eric Wood) Then I could see the dead money wiped because of the unforeseen circumstances and complete loss of the contract that can not be recouped.
  4. Nothing is out of Beaner's toolbox. I think if the guy they really want/need is in range and the deal is right, we will pull the trigger. With all the FA signings, I do not see us trading down unless it is for a 1st, 2nd next year or they have identified a player who will be gone by the time they pick in that round. Beane seems to be looking for game-changers and the DE/Edge position is one of those where an elite player can change the game. With QB/MLB set, this is the next logical position to have a star athlete preferably on a rookie deal. Then OT "You may be right. I may be crazy. It just might be a lunatic we're looking for."
  5. I love sicko mode. I can imagine him with an improved OL and some sure hands in Beasley, Brown plus Shady/Gore and Foster/Kroft plus whoever we draft. I'm ready for the season.
  6. Please stay healthy EJ. The D was strong with him on the field. I can see us having lots of flexibility and rotation on the D-Line and Secondary keeping guys fresh. This is another solid, solid signing. SWEET-ASS offseason so far. WR/TE/DE/DT/LB all that's really left. A couple more signings and it's BPA all the way!
  7. Damn, I'll take that extra 1.125.
  8. Hopefully with the Bills he cuts it inside and puts his shoulders down to pick up a few more yards and punish the DB's for going low.
  9. They need WR but Lamar won't use them properly. That's why Brown is here.
  10. That's my thought Maybin 2.0. He's too small to be a DE in a 4-3 and would have to have some sick cover skills to be an OLB in our scheme. As a replacement for Alexander maybe, but at 9 I'd like to get a day 1 impact player and it seems Burns will be a tweener who will need to convert positions. Jason Taylor played at 255+ most of his career
  11. We have two. Kroft and Croom. We need at least two more. I kind of like the Fisher idea if he can pick up a blitz, double team with a T to hold off top edge rushers and also break off to be a 5-6 yd outlet with reliable hands with the the threat of picking up 8-12yds on a regular basis. With the speed we have on the edges, a reliable slot in Beasley and Shady/Gore out of the backfield, Fisher could be the outlet when a play breaks down or when Allen can't find Beasley and doesn't have a clean shot down the field. Keep those chains moving.
  12. I kind of liked him, but little Pegs had her eye on Croom.
  13. Add DK Metcalf, Marquise or AJ Brown, Paris Campbell, Deebo, Ridley or NKeal Harry and suddenly it's not so bad. I think we end up with one of these guys in the draft. Draft another top TE and pick up RB in Rds 3-4 and suddenly the offense is pretty deep. I haven't soured on the process yet.
  14. Taxes too. Florida has no state tax and nice weather. CA and NY taxes are horrible. When you make that much taxes can add hundreds of thousands in lost revenue, so the "crap" cities in high tax states like Oakland and Buffalo are going to rank higher. You mean I have to pay more to live here and not get laid. Hello Miami.
  15. Isabella looks good. If we go T or TE in rd 1, I definitely hope he is there in the 2nd.
  16. If all this happened. SHWING!!!
  17. nice instincts on this kid. If we get him with one of our 4ths I'd be stoked.
  18. This would be sweet, but I think if we get 2 of the 3 FA's here, we'd be considered lucky. My picks would be Morse and Williams. Keep Dawkins at LT and draft someone to compete with Long/Miller at RG.
  19. I'm in the scheme/cohesion camp. Hopefully in the second year of Daboll the OL are coached up and we maintain some continuity for the coming years. Sign 2 FA to 3-5yr contracts and draft 2 high. Keep Dawkins, Teller, Bodine.
  20. I don't get all the hype on Murray. He's not Baker. I think the combine and pre-draft visits will sort it all out and Murray drops to the bottom half of the first or from 9-14 if someone is really desperate. Haskins, Lock, Jones, Murray come off the board in that order. The truth is that none of these guys deserve to be a Top 5 pick and I don't see this playing out like last years crop of rookies. I see Haskins having marginal success and the rest falling into Rosen type years, if they play at all. I think most bridge backups will have better command of an offense then this group.
  21. I think "not ever." McD preaches his culture and "the team game" philosophy. "Me first" guys are out the door. I don't see this FO bringing them back in. Judging by the drafts, FA signings and cuts, having 11 guys playing together is infinitely more important than having 1 guy playing for himself, no matter how good he is. We want stars, not prima donnas and you can't be both here. They want 52 Kyle Williams if they can get them.
  22. We should have drafted him, end of story. Gronk too. Homegrown elite talent does not come around here often. That's 0-2. If the Sabres get Kane someday, at least that part will be forgiven.
  23. How this kid knows this information is what is truly scary.
