Pleasant surprises through two weeks...
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What's surprising! 1. 3rd Down. For years the Bills have failed to convert on 3rd and failed to stop on 3rd down. This year we've been doing it on both sides of the ball. Man, I hope this continues. 2. TE's Sweeney and Knox. Wasn't expecting much after Kroft went down, especially from a 7th rounder, but both have looked good blocking downfield and receiving. 3. The Swagger. I haven't seen a Bills team in a long, long time that has had a confident swagger and doesn't panic or make stupid mistakes or stupid coaching calls in crucial situations. For years and years when it mattered, we would do something stupid to make my head spin and my turrets come out. 4. RT. I figured we had this problem solved and both Ford or Nsekhe would be way better than Mills. I haven't seen it yet. I think we will soon, just hasn't come together yet. 5. Gore. I love and respect his game and career, but he looks slow and old. I'm not sure why we feed him so much. I'd like to see a lot more Devin and some Yeldon. 6. DiMarco. Why are we throwing screens to him for no gain. I'm surprised we used this play multiple times. 7. (future surprise) Beating the Patriots week 4 by 14 points. I thought we'd fold but YES YES YES... GO BILLS! -
What Would You Give UP for A.J. Green?

I'm in this boat, 4th or a conditional 3rd which could become a 2nd if we reach the Super Bowl. -
It just felt different today
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Happy Birthday. It did feel good to watch a competent Bills team for once. But I really need to see us smoke the Patriots. I despise them and Brown and all the BS surrounding them. I don't want, I need to see us kick them into second place. It's time. The Patriots look great so far, we need to adjust their reality. I'm really sick of having mine altered with a mind-numbing loss at the hands of TB12. -
I'm not so sure. They start an RB we cut, a WR we didn't want to pay who's always been hurt and bounced around the league. They lost their star RB. We took their star C. Their star WR is hurt. Outside of an All-Pro TE, who is on that offense that drives fear into an opponent. Damien Williams? I love Josh, but I'm not delusional. He may be better than Wentz, which is how this started.

Good observation. I'm with you on these points. It wasn't always fun to watch, but they got the job done. Sans the first drive, I love the way the defense played. They should have had better pressure on Eli. He's on his last legs. By game 8, Jones is starting. We really need to get a killer instinct going. That 3rd quarter lull pissed me off. Look at the way the Patriots put the crush on Miami. You have to beat a team down and stomp on them. It keeps you aggressive in tight games. These kind of lulls against playoff teams will result in losses. By game 4 we have to play perfect ball and finally take down NE to make a statement in the NFL and AFC East.

New Antonio Brown Article
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At least two. This ***** did everything he could to get thrown off the Raiders and join NE. -
Surprisingly I think it will be Devin. I think our Defensive game plan will be to stack the box and take Barkley out of the game. Much like Tampa did to McCaffrey. Then force Manning to have to throw more. Engram will be the stat monster for NYG this week. I think we hold Barkley to 70-80 yds on 20 carries and maybe 2-4 catches for another 15-20 yds. Devin gets 80 on 12 carries plus another 45 on 4-5 passes to edge him out.

I'm with ya. But after those three there is no dominance just good, solid QB play for fringe playoff teams who made a few deep playoff runs and one Super Bowl. The top three dominated with perennial playoff teams who went deep and WON multiple Super Bowls. And all three are nearing the end or finished their careers. The question is who is the next BIG THREE. I hope its Allen, Mahomes and..... Maybe Mayfield, but could be Lamar if Baltimore continues to ascend. I just think Lamar goes the way of Cam and his legs fall off within 5 years and I'm not on the Browns bandwagon.

Will Patriots release Antonio Brown?
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to BrycePaup4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Personally, I think the combination of behavior should warrant the NFL to put him on the exempt list. The sexual allegations are only a part of the whole picture. Everything from the helmet BS to missing practices to threatening a GM should be considered. The NFL needs to get the players under control and the AB situation if not dealt with will launch prima donnas across the league to act any way they want. Miami players who want out will act accordingly. Curb this mess now and send a message that this behavior is not tolerated. -
Will Patriots release Antonio Brown?
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to BrycePaup4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would love an indefinite suspension, especially after they just traded Demaryius Thomas to the Jets. Gordon implodes, Edelman wrecks his knee and Brady gets savagely rocked by the Bills. Now that's a week 4 I can cheer for. -
Henry Anderson cheap shot. UNREAL
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If it was Brady, there'd be a league wide investigation, suspension, etc... But no, let's just give him Antonio Brown for free so he can win. The NFL is becoming a rigged sh!tshow. -
Week 4 Against the Pats.... ??
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to Scorp83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pats look legit, no doubt. Adding Antonio Brown just makes the mountain higher. The Bills will need to play a flawless game to win. They need to take the next 2 and build their confidence. I think the Oline needs time to gel. Not having Morse and Allen work together much showed today. I'm hoping they get all the kinks out and Daboll understand how to create mismatches and call a great game against NE's Defense. We need to score 24+ to be in this one. Probably 30 or more to win. I hate NE and I hope we do damage to them that lasts the whole year. Seeing AB go down, Brady limping off the field and Gordon f'k up would make me smile. -
[Name Only Title] Frank Gore
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to Brianmoorman4jesus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is why I was upset that we dropped Shady. We had the cap space. Having a nice 1-2 punch with Devin/Shady would be sweet with Gore/Yeldon as change of pace. Shady racked up 81 yds on 10 carries today when he was not the lead carrier. If Devin misses time we are toast. You can never have enough playmakers and throwing one out for nothing to a contender makes it even tougher to swallow. Gore should be the vet mentor who helps keep a cohesive locker room. Shady was the reason he came here. It just doesn't make sense and I think we paid for the mistake again today. Almost any other defense and we'd be down 10-17 pts at the half. We need to have a strong run game to make it to the playoffs. -
Antonio Brown RELEASED, signed by PATS
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Stidham showed the system works and Bellicheck schemes to get mismatches. Having Brown is a huge upgrade over Jakobi Myers or Dorsett. AB will make it even tougher to double team anyone. Spread out Edelman, Brown and Gordon and you still have to deal with 3 RB's who can tear you up in Michel, White and Harris. Give Brady any time at all and he will pick a defense apart with all these weapons. The only weak spot is TE and watch Gronk come back around game 8 for a Super Bowl run. My hate grows by the minute for NE. -

Antonio Brown RELEASED, signed by PATS

With the 15m plus other hidden incentives he will get from the Pats, he lost no more than 6m and will probably make it up on his next contract after he plays nice guy. He wanted out and kept f'king up until they released him. He gamed the system and the league and should be suspended for the season. But no, now we have to deal with the Pats getting this sh^t for free. I hate NE even more. I hope we break them in two and put Brady, AB and Gordon on IR for life.
