  1. That is awesome. I like the one guy who was like, "Did I hear a f**king Curtis in there?" in the replies.
  2. Irsay without the drugs is a very apt description. He believes very much in the team being a "Family" organization (despite firing his two sons) and has often supported bad contracts for players he liked even though there was little hope they would live up to or even be able to fulfill the contract. He's also been a thorn in the NFL's side on modernization initiatives with many votes against.
  3. I mean, you try very hard to believe silly situations like he was just making a statement. He didn't mean for anyone to be offended. You have to wrap your head far around the back to believe he didn't know what he was tweeting.
  4. Cousins will play wherever offers him the best deal. Washington or otherwise. Washington wasn't getting any discount signing him now instead of next offseason. Cousins will be overpaid no matter what.
  5. I explained this two posts above yours. It's also all over the coverage of him being fired. There were no plans to fire Gettlemen. Owner made a spur of the moment decision while Gettlemen was on vacation.
  6. Is he sure he wants his people to see him play?
  7. It wasn't a planned firing. This was a spur of the moment owner decision. Gettlemen was a hardliner (which is why some former players dislike him) business only type of guy. He jettisoned Steve Smith who had lost effectiveness, but wanted money on par with the best receivers. He wasn't nice about it. He let Josh Norman go to sign a ridiculously bloated contract to a division rival. He wasn't nice about it. Olsen, the tight end, wants to renegotiate his existing contract and was threatening to hold out (Rosenhaus). Gettlemen seemed disinclined to renegotiate an existing deal. Thomas, a longtime heart and soul type player (think Fred Jackson), wants a long term contract that doesn't make sense because his play has declined, he has 3 torn ACLs, and is 34. Gettlemen is apparently not a nice guy and wasn't going to give it to him. The owner calls Thomas part of the family and wants it done. Thus Gettlemen is gone and Thomas will get a new contract.
  8. what? Did you mean their offensive line?
  9. As someone currently living in Austin, it isn't really Texas..now if he was north a bit in Williamson county...well, he'd either be dead or charged with every crime they could think of.. I have a hard time thinking why you'd need a gun on the mean streets of Austin...like people walking Chihuahuas everywhere maybe
  10. If he wasn't already very wealthy then he would have felt much better about the lions. Was it a factor? Sure. Was it *the* reason? No way. He would have worked with them or demanded a trade to a contender in that case.
  11. gotta sue some...err...everybody. It's the American Dream to have a loved one killed by an entity of some sort with deep pockets. Of course, they are doing this for justice, not money. Obviously.
  12. I often like to take financial advice from people who win the lottery
  13. can we get the thread back to Watkins stupidity instead of the armchair economics
  14. I'm not a sammy basher, but what does he think he's done to "change the market"?
  15. I really wish at least the obvious trolls would get banned on this board. Seems like it's more important lately about how *many* people are on the board than anything else
  16. people who start new topics that are already being discussed make this place less fun
  17. How does decker fix that? People are worried about sammy's injury history and ya'll want Decker?
  18. let's see how much they love the Patriot's Way when Hogan and Gilislee are cut next offseason then the year after Gilmore is traded off to some other team.
  19. not really excited about either. Maclin is relying on his name recognition at this point and Decker get injured breathing heavily.
  20. lol The Jets got rid of Damario Davis because he was awful in coverage and had no hope of covering tight ends. Jets draft Darron Lee in the 1st round to replace harris. Rookie year is abysmal. Jets trade former #1 round pick, Pryor, to Browns for Damario Davis who's on a terrible deal. Everyone believes they traded for Davis because cutting him would save them 1.7 million cap over cutting Pryor. Jets release Harris...which means they're likely keeping Davis at full cap hit. The Bills aren't the only ones who do silly things.
  21. the question isn't about if you're gonna get f*cked. It's about who's going to f*ck you
  22. Bills shut down their official message board. Board admins decided to let trolls run rampant.
