No. I think they're better off with Bevelle. People hated Meyer throughout the organization and Meyer didn't seem wholly committed to it. You can't build anything with that sort of animosity and ambivalence in the building.

The whole worrying about who they play is so silly. If the Bills can't beat a team and have to hope someone else knocks them out then they're not gonna win the Superbowl anyway.

I doubt the league has mentioned it.. at all. It's an unlikely scenario and it's unlikely either team would participate in outright collusion. What are they gonna say, "If this thing happens and ya'll end up in a tie at the end of the game, you better play aggressively in OT!"

Analytics should be used to inform decisions, not make them. Pees seems far too extreme in his viewpoint and it comes off as angry old man. There are certainly people who put way too much stock in analytics. Like most things, the best results are somewhere in the middle. You should apply both experience and analytics to decisions.

I think they wanted more teams still 'in it' later even more than they wanted the straight up revenue from the extra game.
