Free Agency News and Updates - around the league
RyanC883 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah, I’d disagree. Seattle is better than Green Bay, last year playoff notwithstanding. Rodgers also did nothing with J. Cook. Knox had a comparable rookie year to many TE 1’s. Hooper and Knox would be great together. Hooper should come here -

good point, but I think as a team overall, Seattle is better than Green Bay, and Buffalo is better than Green Bay. Plus, Wilson utilizes TE's, Rodgers, not so much. I think we are in the running here, and we should win it. -

this is a guy I'd get into a bidding war over. Plus, with more cap space likely coming in the next few years, and our available space, we should do it. A big receiving target for Josh. -
Chase Claypool- I know you want to talk about him
RyanC883 replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
ideal scenario is a couple guys like that in the late 2nd available. -
AC/DC Petition to play Superbowl halftime.

Post Malone perhaps. Had a good New Years show. But I totally agree with the bolded part of your statement--at it serves no one. I don't think those people will suddenly become NFL regulars because of a good halftime show in the SB. -
Cover 1 Ruggs is more than just speed
RyanC883 replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would love to land Ruggs. I can't see him lasting to us. Jefferson might, but I'm still bigger on taking a WR in round 2 if an impact Edge or OT is available in Rd. 1. In regards to Jefferson, I agree his height is not an issue. But is he simply a "slot" WR, or could we move him out wide also? -
Matt Miller@BR - Latest Buzz for every team
RyanC883 replied to BarleyNY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I wouldn't want to trade up in the 2nd. Who knows, perhaps Shenault falls in the 2nd to us. He likely fell out of the 1st yesterday with his 40 time and others like Jefferson moving into the 1st. I think most WR's (1st round or not) take some time to develop. That's why I recommend grabbing Hooper (yes, a TE, but the best pass catcher likely to be available) in FA to pair with Knox. -

I think you can get both. Aiyuk, Mimms, Claypool, all offer size and playmaker ability. Higgins seems like a big WR who likely gets injured often. Goes up for the ball, BAM from a CB or safety or LB, injury. -

I like Mims from Baylor. Big guy, fast. Likely available in Rd. 2. Huge catch radius. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001102818/article/nine-instant-impact-receivers-who-wont-cost-a-firstround-pick -
Today's edition. Don't see Lamb at 22, but the early run on QB's, CB's and Edge made him fall here. 22 CeeDee Lamb , WR Oklahoma 54 Damon Arnette , CB Ohio State 86 Ben Bartch , OT St. John 118 Trevon Hill , EDGE Miami 137 Collin Johnson , WR Texas 149 Lamical Perine , RB Florida 168 Antonio Gandy-Golden , WR Liberty 181 Justin Strnad , LB Wake Forest 187 Raequan Williams , IDL Michigan State

LSU RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire formally meets with Bills
RyanC883 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
totally agree. And you can tell our coaches want to sit on leads with running. Not exactly my style, but the Steelers SB teams in the early 2000's had success doing that. And if you play that style, I agree, Clyde is a guy who can do it. -
Cordy Glenn possibly to be released [Update: Released]
RyanC883 replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think a cheap 1 year prove it offer is all he will get. Might as well be here. This also likely does not stop us from getting Conklin, but it provides a nice coushin. We do not need to overpay for Conklin. The scenario can be Ford at Guard/backup RT, Glenn starting at RT, and draft a RT. Kind of a big win, IMO. If we get Conklin and Glenn, Conklin starts, Glenn backup. Ford Guard, Spain gone, draft a tackle. that face makes me think he'd like to be on the Bills with guys like Knox, etc. -
very good. I'd agree 1990. I trust that the FO will look at everyone, and make smart decisions as to whether or not to acquire that player. Also we appear to be good at QB and RB, have promise at TE, good at LB and DT, and in the secondary. Just need a few playmakers on offense and solidify the OL. (OL in the first would not shock me).

we were Richie Incognito's second or third chance. He was good here. Burfict could be good, I have no clue if he can control himself. If the Bills bring him in I trust they've done their homework. Nice to feel this way about a FO. I hope we look into it, and then make an informed decision. I'd take a couple of the Saints players~!

Would anyone be interested in OBJ?
RyanC883 replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
depends on the contract. I'd never say no to a talent like that, but it would have to be a non-guaranteed contract where we could cut him if/when he becomes a problem in the locker room. -

3rd round would be amazing. I think he goes in the 2nd. -
I’m glad we made the playoffs before the new CBA
RyanC883 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't see 2017 as a cheap way to get in. Just like other years, teams get in on tiebreakers. We got in on a tiebreaker, albeit ours was in a more dramatic fashion. -
not a bad draft. Don't like the Rd. 1 pick, but I like the later rounds. Driscoll in the 5th is a steal, IMO. If you can, what do you know about Alex Highsmith from Charlotte. I see him in many mocks but know nothing about him.

Draft hypothetical - all needs adequately filled
RyanC883 replied to BarleyNY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a great hypo. I think in this draft, I'd stay put (or even acquire more 2nd rounders). There are a decent amount of WR, CB, etc that could help long term. If LB Simmons fell, I might make a move for him. But I wouldn't trade up past the 15 range, as that gets expensive quickly. -
not surprising. They likely are required under some sort of Sunshine Law to put our a Request for Proposal to hire an attorney for something like this. Good to see they are hiring someone. All I care (as someone who travels from out of town) is that it stays in the Metro-Buffalo area. (downtown, Orchard Park, etc.) I'd like a Dome also

I suggest getting one of the best pass catchers in FA, and neither one is a WR. TE Hunter or Hooper! I think the draft has a lot of WR's who could be game-breakers in the 2nd or 3rd rounds. Look at Golladay was 3rd round pick.
