9/7/25 GAMEDAY Thread Home Opener Bills vs Ravens SNF
CSBill replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Happy Opening Game Day, TBD! Get a nap today; it's going to be a long night. Because no matter what happens, I know most of you will be up very late; either (1) imagining the SB victory parade, or (2) contemplating all that went wrong, and trying to figure out if this team will ever win a game. Just win baby, just win!" GO BILLS!!!! -
Lamar took that title away from him in the playoff game last year.

Speaking of which, cancel the rest of the WNBA season. There is no longer a reason to watch it.

Buffalo Bills 10 Longest Kickoff Returns at Highmark
CSBill replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
None will ever top Nyheim Hines' opening return after the Hamilin game. It was magical and storybook, and it was the beginning of healing for the Bills players and fans, and the football nation. -
How many opposing fans get to Bills games in OP always surprises me. But I think (?) that will be less this year with Bills fans' desire to get to Highmark for the last season—at least, I hope that.

Isaiah Likely to be out for the Bills Ravens game.

It's likely a bad situation for the Ravens. -
ESPN predicts Bills win Super Bowl…and I agree
CSBill replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, now I have to like ESPN again. -
For me, it's the Giants converting every third down in the second half as they held the ball and ran the clock down. I only rewatched the last few minutes just two years ago. It's still painful. That was the obvious one we should have won. But many forget that in the fourth one, the Bills were ahead at halftime and playing well against the Cowboys, but a Thurmon Thomas fumble early in the third quarter changed the momentum of that game. The Cowboys quickly scored to take the lead, and it went downhill from there. We had a good chance to win that day without that fumble.

I wonder if they'll sign Hamler. I feel like I saw more from him than Moore in the Preseason, or might that just be Hard Knocks' bias?
-
TBD Public Service Announcement: The "gotta be an exPanther or Beane won't sign him" bit is long over, and even more critically, it is not witty anymore and has no comedic value. Can we put it to rest?

Bass started right where he had left off. Every kick seems like an adventure. I was really beginning to like that other guy we had. Keep him on speed dial, Mr. Beane. It tends to fade to the right when he walks.

This! Or the returning ones. Wow!

And I was hoping for a week's break of rest and relaxation after a stressful pre-season.

The great Kris Kristofferson can help us here: "not exactly free' = Nothin' -> As used in these sentences: "Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose. Nothin' ain't worth nothin' but it's free." The Janis Joplin version (iconic) . . . -

But what was his 40 time?

Bishop and Buffalo Joe should get a nice bonus from him for helping to make this happen.

Bummer! And I liked him. -
Robbins has looked VERY good. I see no reason to mess with that position.
