  1. I did notice that the big rookie Spencer Brown reported as eligible yesterday. Brown was converted to tackle from tight end in college. 6-8 is a nice target in close. Also think Kumerow could be effective posting up a slot db in close.
  2. We all knew coming into this season that Diggs would be a focal point of every defensive coordinator. So Josh, even with the bad game against a "full strength" Steeler team, has 7 TD's to 5 different receivers. I think defensive coordinators all over the league are reaching for their anxiety meds. Also the Bills have 9 games remaining against the bottom quarter of the league, who so far have a combined record of 5-22 (.185) through three games. We have four tough road games, Saints, Brady, Titans [& Henry], KC. We have Carolina at home in December, wonder how McCaffrey's healing hammy will like the OP weather. I think taking every game one at a time, this team will be feared all season.
  3. Gale Sayers played 5 full seasons 7 total and is in the HOF. Sestak played 7 total, only missed 2 games in those 7 years, had 52 sacks as an interior DL. Sestak would be a shoo in for Canton had he not been felled by injury. Sayers is in Canton, and his career was cut short by injury. Anti AFL bias for sure.
  4. The starting quarterbacks with QBR's worse than Josh, [Matt Ryan, Tua, Brissett, Davis Mills [Hou], Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson] have a combined record of 1-8. Hopefully Josh will get off the schneid with these next two games at home against less than top tier opponents.
  5. I assume you are talking about peak game speed. Henry Ruggs ran a 4.27 at the combine, That's 19.2 mph over the entire 40 yards. If Diggs ran a 4.66, That's 17.6mph, about 8% slower [not 15%] in terms of MPH. In a 40 yard run, Ruggs at top speed would beat Motor by about 11 feet. The DB was coming at an angle, which means he had farther to run to catch Motor.
  6. Perhaps most offensive holding penalties in a season?
  7. Re: All time Kicker, that is a close call. Lindell played 10 seasons 152 games, made 83.3% of his FG's, and Missed ONE of his 306 XP attempts. Christie Played 9 seasons 144 games, made 78.3% of his FG's and Missed four of 313 XP attempts. For Lindell to be that consistent during the playoff drought is remarkable. Tough to compare TB% on Kickoffs since the league has messed around with the kickoff spot over the years.
  8. When he was so motivated Cookie was a phenomenal blocker. Remember he was the size of most of the Offensive Tackles in the league at the time. I remember watching him run for 243 yards in a game on a field that today would be called unplayable.
  9. OK, since I've been here since the beginning [1960] here's my take [46 spots ]: QB: Kelly, Allen RB: OJ, Cookie (fb), Thurman, Fred WR: Reed, Frank Lewis, Lofton, Moulds, Dubenion, Butler TE: Metzelaars, Reimersma. [Bills have not exactly had HOF TE's] OL: Hull, R. Brown, Joe D, Shaw, Wolford, McKenzie, Wood, Ritcher, House DL: Bruce, Sestak, McDole, Ted Washington, Kyle, Pat Williams, Schobel LB: Talley, Stratton, Shane Conlan, Bennett DB: Byrd, Tre White, Robert James, Saimes, Gilmore, Odomes, Mario Clark, Clemens K: Christie P: Moorman ST: Tasker Ret: McGee Obviously OJ and lately Bennett would not make the all-character team.
  10. As an original Bills fan since 1960, Cookie Gilchrist was a fullback. Offensive tackle Stew Barber said, “Cookie was a tremendous blocker. He could take a defensive end and throw him aside with no trouble at all. He was very strong.”
  11. Josh Allen is bigger, faster, quicker and with a stronger arm than Favre. The job that Daboll and Dorsey [& Palmer] have done coaching him up from the "Wyoming" Josh Allen is remarkable.
  12. NFL Network is saying that Cam being unvaxed factored into the decision. BB playing three dimensional chess.
  13. I don't see Kumerow clearing waivers. I think he makes our 53, or is picked up by someone else. A player with his size and wheels who has ball skills will be in demand. I also think as thin as we are at Tight End, that his size is helpful in goal line sets. I also think if we go heavy at the goal line, Spencer Brown was at one time a tight end.
  14. On Sirius NFL yesterday, Pat Kirwan was saying that he knows GM's that will be cutting unvaxxed players if they have other options. Be interesting to see how this all plays out.
  15. Is Rosseau, former receiver, a goal line option on offense. Impressive size.
  16. With the Pegula's wealth and the Bills History, is this really necessary? Highmark is not a Buffalo brand, and they have taken jobs out of Buffalo to their PA HQ's. Just Saying. Bills Stadium works for me.
  17. TSW may consider me a RFA, but I am an original Bills Fan since the day they were founded in 1960.
  18. Apparently Highmark has actually laid off some former BC/BS of WNY employees, but they have money for naming rights?
  19. Original Bills Fan, in 1963, told my mom all I wanted for Christmas was Bills playoff tickets, ($6 each). Got them, game was in the Rockpile. Our seats were in the bleachers, created by pushing the snow down with a garbage can. Bills lost that day, but next two years were epic.
  20. Brady was the only player in the league whose wife made more money than he did. He didn't have to maximize his contract.
  21. Also wondering if Star will tie up more folks in the trenches that our interior DL did last year, meaning a little more space for the ends. 4.63 is pretty quick for a 265 pounder. Sounds like with his long arms, he will also be in the mix for the FG block team.
  22. At least a couple of Pundits think Oweh may fall to the Bills, he's the second rated edge in the draft, physical freak. Apparently runs a 4:33 at 6-5 260.
  23. Re Brown, Quoting Top Gun, "I feel the need for speed". Josh will eventually have a receiver he cannot over throw.
  24. Lifelong Bills fans remember people like Darryl Talley. He is 60 with Brain Damage. Luke made the right decision.
