  1. If the rumor mill means anything, Shady traded and the full tank is on like a mofo.
  2. It always depends on how desperate they are.
  3. I think it would be fair to Shady to let him play his remaining years on a contender, so I would be OK with a trade. A starting running back and a 3rd is a good first request by the Bills. Then when the GM stops laughing they can start negotiating. I'b be ecstatic if they could get a 2nd for Shady given his age, how much he has been used, and his current contract. More likely a 3rd without the starting RB is what I would guess the Bills could expect.
  4. I voted other. People on the sidelines.
  5. OK, NOW you have gone too far!!!!!
  6. I'm not a pro-tank person because people are paying very good money to watch the team play. However how has being mediocre for the past 17 years worked out for the Bills?
  7. And/or he realized the team was going no where this season and TT was likely to get him killed over the middle with the high inaccurate throws and decided enough was enough. In any event, TT truly has no one to throw deep to now. The excuses are ready if TT doesn't perform well this season. The dress rehearsal preseason game coming up just got more interesting.
  8. I have always said it has no place at sporting events. Never understood why it was played anyway except for things like the Olympics where it is people representing countries competing.
  9. Extremely unlikely he gets traded. He is a top notch backup and they aren't easy to find either. The only way he gets traded is if they get a very good deal for him (based on the ****ty Sammy trade I'm not sure they know what a good deal is), and they are extremely confident that they have a good starter or backup in Peterman and that they will be able to get the other in the next draft. If they trade TT it almost certainly signals they are willing to sacrifice this season to get ready for the post-Brady era that's coming.
  10. The Bills used a first, and another first, for potential. But for just a 2nd, I think I'd rather keep the player and give TT every opportunity to prove himself than give Watkins away. But I ain't no GM
  11. I don't think his numbers would have been huge even if he managed to play all 16 games. As good as he could be, without someone who can get the ball to him consistently his numbers are limited. My sole gripe was the trade itself. A 2nd and a meh player for someone the Bills used 2 first round picks for not long ago, and still has tremendous upside, is not getting good value IMO.
  12. I voted no only because I am disappointed with a 2nd and a meh player for Watkins. They didn't get any value for a good, and potentially great, WR. Particularly when you consider the heavy price the Bills paid for him. I'm happy for Watkins, I watched an interview with him during a preseason game over the weekend and he seemed VERY happy with the situation. But I think the Bills absolutely got the short end of that trade.
  13. Bwahahahahaahahahaahahahahahaahahahahaha!!!
  14. I was wondering how much that would be as well. My worry would be being stranded in Buffalo because no drivers wanted to make the trip to Roch (and the return trip).
  15. And with guys who will be washing cars in a couple weeks.
  16. He was also playing *with* 3rd string players. And the Bills have very little depth, so managing to move the team and score did impress me. He made some mistakes as well, but that is to be expected. I liked what I saw from him, particularly compared to Yates who was a train wreck.
  17. Hammers lot. Good times without all the stupidity you see in some other lots. The (in)famous Pinto tailgate is there now as well, back left corner.
  18. I agree with what you say regarding HS and college football in the south. I once was in a small town in Texas on business and someone there told me I would need to either go eat dinner somewhere by 5pm on Friday, or plan on eating at the high school football stadium because nothing else would be open ... and they were right.
  19. My kids were also not given the option. The risk versus reward made it a very easy decision for my wife and I. But if the "golden age" is over, I think it has more to do with how the game has changed in recent years, mainly regarding protecting the players.
  20. Pretty simple for me: 1) I want the coaches and players to look like they know what they are doing. No stupid coaching mistakes and no undisciplined penalties. 2) No one gets hurt.
  21. Or, just turn it off at halftime (or leave if you are there) if it doesn't interest you.
  22. Cue the profiling complaints, leading to everyone getting tested.
  23. Exactly. That's what the "drug test them all" crowd fails to account for, the cost of the drug tests themselves.
  24. But if you had a son born today, knowing what you know, would you allow him to play tackle football?
  25. Shiraz for me. I like it with a little more bite.
