  1. It would be good for Buffalo (not necessarily the wins/losses for the Bills, but for Buffalo) if this arrangement makes it economically feasible for the new owners to keep the Bills in Buffalo. Anything that makes the balance sheet look better helps this. You seem to be living in a dream world where the Buffalo economy is not among the worst in the country and ignoring the fact that any new ownership will have a big debt load and will be looking closely at the teams profitability when evaluating if it makes sense to keep the Bills in Buffalo or move them to a better economic environment. In a perfect world everyone here would agree that having all games in Buffalo would be preferred. But we do not live in a perfect world and pretending the only thing that matters is wins and losses does not make sense in my opinion.
  2. Yes but you see that doesn't fit into the "I'm mad as hell and demand everyone be fired" mindset,
  3. From what I read the sneak wasn't called. But carry on.
  4. Wouldn't that be something if he is one of the few ex-Bills that ends up with a ring. I may need to keep a barf bucket next to my chair, but if NE makes the big dance I will have to be hoping for them to win.
  5. The football season is over, it's petition season now.
  6. What makes you think that Kelly, whose experience with general managers of an NFL franchise to my knowledge begins and ends with signing a contract with one that his agent negotiated for him, would have even the slightest idea of how to do the job. Plus he is passionate about the Bills, but he does not seem like the sharpest tool in the shed. You may not be crazy, but your self proclaimed hero worship has gotten the better of you.
  7. Tebow won't snort coke off of a prostitutes nipple with them, that's why.
  8. For me personally, I have no problem pulling the plug on Gailey after this season. He has shown absolutely nothing in the way of coaching ability in his three years in Buffalo, nor in any of his other jobs at the NFL or collegiate level. There is no reason to expect him to be any different next season than he has been in his entire career. BUT if and only if the Bills can hire someone who they have good reason to believe will do a better job. I do not support in any way firing Gailey just out of blind rage then having to hire someone else worse because no one else better will accept the job. For me the jury is still out on Nix. But the same caveat applies, they would need to have someone lined up who they have good reason to believe would be better and who would accept the job.
  9. I believe the purpose of the Toronto series was to: 1) Keep the price of Bills season tickets down by having one fewer regular season and preseason games (admittedly they turned around and boned season ticket holders this year on the preseason game). 2) Line Mr. Wilsons pockets with all the money received from Rogers. 3) Satisfy the offshore game requirement for the Bills. 4) Increase interest in corporate boxes among Toronto companies. Except for the preseason game boning this year I'd say these criteria were successful except #4. I also believe that #4 had little chance of success even if the Bills fielded good teams during the series, and no chance with the turd sandwich that was served the past 5 years.
  10. I never heard Fitz blame it on his ribs. Just some other players and people here.
  11. I will watch the next one. Doubt the nyets game will be on TV here. Just checked, all kinds of seats left.
  12. And 8 of 9 of the CBS talking heads like the fish straight up, with 6 of 8 liking the fish giving the points. I know 3 of the 4.5 points come from playing in Miami but man, who would have thought it would have come to this at the start of the season.
  13. I don't know about that. Did you see the second half kickoff?
  14. I doubt that only because I believe if Gailey quits he gives up his last years salary. I wouldn't be surprised though if he tells Nix that he would be OK with being fired.
  15. It means if the Bills win out that he, after only 3 years, would have achieved the lofty 7-9 record of his predecessor. Who, as it happens, was run out of town for sucking.
  16. Oh yeah I forgot about that. Not sure what happened, but Lynch and everyone else in that area of the Seattle sideline had a big laugh about it.
  17. I disagree. There are somewhere in the mid 40,000's season ticket holders who will renew regardless of what the Bills do. Just so long as they are in Buffalo. Plus Mr. Wilson gives up 40% of ticket sales money to the other teams, and gets 40% of the ticket revenue of the away games where the tickets are much more expensive. Plus he has (or at least had) the Toronto series to line his pockets. And the biggest $$$ maker of them all, his share of the TV contract. Ticket sales at the Ralph become more and more irrelevant every year.
  18. And did you see the fumble on the second half kickoff that was overturned in favor of the Bills? Irrefutable evidence? I think not. You can nit pick on every play for every team if you look hard enough. Doesn't amount to anything.
  19. You make it sound like the Bills are a mentally challenged (or is the new politically correct term "differently abled") organization from top to bottom. Well, now that I think about it ...
  20. This is almost surreal. People were foaming at the mouth to get rid of Jauron, and were heralding Gailey as the coup the Bills pulled off hiring the guy that Jerry Jones said was his biggest mistake firing. And now more foaming to fire Gailey with no clue as to who would replace him. Well, with the Cowboys stinking up the joint as well, maybe Jerrah will correct his biggest mistake ever ... ya think?
  21. He absolutely could do worse. If some miracle happens and whoever buys the Bills decides to keep them in this area, they should hire #12 as a PR front man to get the fans fired up and and buy tickets etc. Nothing more than that.
  22. Well, the TV guys said that when they talked to Wanny before the game that Wanny said the key to the game was how well the Bills contained the read option. So Wanny was obviously very aware of it and I would have to assume tried to prepare the defense for it. We all saw the result of that preparation.
  23. For me maybe the worst part of the TV broadcast yesterday was the story they told about how Seattle got Wilson (They were telling lots of stories to try and keep the audience tuned into the massacre). The scout saw Wilson and sold Carroll. Gambling he would fall to their third round pick, which he did, they took him. Makes me sick about how bad the Bills front office has been historically when I hear stories like that about other teams.
  24. Particularly after yesterday huh.
  25. Yeah that was the problem yesterday. The fake punt when they were up by a million points. Not the fact that the Bills sucked ass to such a mind boggling degree that they were in that position in the first place.
