  1. Winning out at this point for the Bills won't be easy, but it is not impossible either. If they manage to do that, regardless if they end up in the playoffs or not, it will show everyone (including themselves) that the Bills have a sack and will be a good lead in to the offseason. Is this a Bills team turning the corner, or simply more of the last 12 years. We will see.
  2. Yeah and if you look at this page and hover over the furthest right circle (down at the bottom) it shows the Bills overall chance of making the playoffs as 0.00014%. The Jests are 0.00012% (suck it Rex) and the fish are of course flat lined. http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NFL/AFC/AFCEast/Buffalo_ChanceWillMakePlayoffs.html
  3. That will always be the answer for some. That you aren't comparing apples to apples due to the other factors. And it is of course true to a point. But simply watch Fitz throw the ball more than 10 yards then watch some others.
  4. It's called "The Signal and the Noise: Why So Many Predictions Fail-but Some Don't". I'm only about 25% of the way though it but I'm liking it so far! Football is a tough one. Players get hurt so frequently and who that player is can have a huge impact (see the Stillers and PigBen). And the season is so short as well, it makes any math tough.
  5. Like I said, they don't go on mathematical elimination. They run simulations of the games left and come up with probabilities. And their simulations say it won't happen (not that it can't happen). Pretty interesting if you are into stuff like that. I was always curious but this last election sucked me in completely to the point I bought Nate Silvers book
  6. Kelso is a homer.
  7. Yup. So they aren't the worst team in the NFL. But we pretty much knew that going in. The weather forcing Gailey to the run game certainly helped
  8. I don't know if he will be Revis good or not. But he is experimenting now trying to figure out exactly how much cheating he can expect to get away with and not get the PI call. He will end up being a keeper to be sure.
  9. Sportsclubstats (which is NOT based on mathematical elimination) says no playoffs even if the Bills win out. http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NFL/AFC/AFCEast/Buffalo.html
  10. Yet they beat the bears on the road today.
  11. 1) No !@#$ing blackouts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2) No false starts unless a players feet move. I am so sick of false start after false start because a linemans fat roll jiggles. 3) No !@#$ing blackouts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Chan made the playoffs in Dallas at 8-8 too I believe.
  13. I agree, that play showed great hustle. He could very easily have just given up on it. But it makes me wonder about the mentality of football players in general sometimes. Even my 11 year old daughter commented during that play after the interception, "why doesn't he just lay down and end the game?".
  14. As bored as you are with the Bills sucking ass for 13 years and counting?
  15. Not quite half anymore at least. 1500 yesterday, 1000 now. It's supposed to be warm for Buffalo in December, people probably willing to watch it for $20. Particularly now that it is not on TV locally.
  16. As one guy put it ... the Bills/Jags game is going to be like watching two guys with no arms try and high-5.
  17. Some Bills fans stay fired up until the Bills are mathematically eliminated.
  18. Don't need one at the Ralph. Just go to any tree by the parking lots if you want to see someone peeing.
  19. Then Gailey. The new coach can replace Wanny.
  20. I still contend there was no luck (lower case 'l') involved.
  21. I'd keep Fitz with a reduced salary to groom the QB of the future. Gailey and WannaStache would be on the curb just as soon as the ink dried on their replacements contract.
  22. Does anyone have the Canadian Sunday Ticket? I assumed that was blacked out the same way it is in the US, but is it? That 1500 number is the number of tickets available on stubhub which has no direct bearing on sellout/blackout.
  23. 5 out of 8 on CBS favor Jax with the points.
  24. I think a better question is how can a teams best record in 8 consecutive years only be 8-8. Assuming of course that they get there which is by no means a lock.
