  1. Edumonds will be 25 next season he should easily be able to play at a high level barring serious injury for the next 4 seasons. Easily worth a long term deal.
  2. It is pretty irrelevant as most Bills players have played 2-3 years or more in Buffalo in the elements.
  3. Edumonds has had such a great season and at 24 years old I am inclined to give him a big contract offer over Poyer. I love Poyer and all that he has done but give me the young LB over and older safety looking for a huge payday.
  4. Got to run the ball a lot, the Oline has been better in recent weeks at run blocking for the RB’s have to take advantage of that. Maybe kick the tires on Ike at LG rather than Von Rotten.
  5. If the Bills beat Miami and win another game they not only clinch the division but the 3 seed is the lowest they can finish. Squish the Fish and see where things fall after that.
  6. 1- Diggs 2- Davis 3- Knox 4- Mac 5- Shakir 6- Beasley 7- Brown If Crowder comes back I would rank him 4th and if Kumerow comes back I would rank him 6th. I know a lot of people are loving the Smoke and Beasley signings but I am not sure either has much left in the tank. Should the Bills desperate for WR's kick the tires? Yeah, no real problems with brining in guys slowly for a playoff push. But to have high expectations for either is dramatic. Brown got cut from two teams last year and was hurt in 2020 when he was here. Brown then couldn't catch on with a team all season. Beasley didn't sign all off-season then had a weird disappointing short stint in Tampa Bay. Not sure what he has left in the tank. I am more so hoping for a Crowder return to help out in the slot but once again do not hate kicking the tires on a pair of vet WR's who know the system.
  7. The Bills beat down and comfortably won against the Pats was it a major blowout? No but it was a comfortable 3 possession lead until a field goal late in what amounted to garbage time. The Bills are going to likely not have any "beat down" games the rest of the way as they play tough teams in Cincy, New England and Miami and even the one game against a team with a losing record in Chicago is an away game that could have bad weather which always makes a blowout harder. But I think these tighter games make for a championship mentality for this team. This season the Bills have had to overcome a lot and are still overcoming a lot. The more and more they get comfortable in tight "ugly" games the more they are prepared for the tight games that will be in the playoffs. That being said I would prefer more games like the New England game where the game is a 2-3 possession lead late as my heart can only take so much.
  8. Going to need him in a snow game. Going to need to just run the ball a lot preferably with RB's instead of Josh.
  9. My expectations are not very high but I don’t hate kicking the tires so to speak. Much like the Brown signing you are just taking a shot even if it is a long shot
  10. The young guns on the Dline have been playing better and Shaq is continuing to have a solid season. AJ got a sack and a pass batted Boogie didn’t light up the stat sheet this past week but I thought he played decently. Von’s impact has been felt off the field.
  11. Beasley is a white slot receiver who couldn’t make it work with Tom Brady, he is clearly not likely to have much in the tank. If the Bills want to kick the tires and get him on the PS, fine I guess it doesn’t hurt but it’s at best a long shot. If the Bills are hoping to get some WR help you are better off waiting for Crowder to attempt to come off IR
  12. The Bills defense beat him up bad and he hung tough. Hopefully he is ok long term.
  13. The weather was really sloppy and Josh made most of his throws. I know Josh has looked “off” since the first Jets game but I think it’s hard to tell from this game if Josh is healthy or hurt since it may have been the weather throwing his game off. I would like to see how Josh looks in a game with better conditions but that may not happen the rest of the way with two games in Buffalo and the other two games being in Chicago and Cincinnati.
  14. This was a good game by the Bills to win “ugly”. The Bills defensive gameplan was great it took away the ground game for the most part and forced Mike White to execute into small windows of well disguised coverages while trusting the Dline to bring pressure. The offense got off to a slow start but got the big TD drive to cap off the first half then when the Jets offense kicked into gear and tied the game the offense scored the next 13 points to take control of the game. Nitpicks here or there but this team getting wins fairly comfortably in bad conditions against a really good defense is a big time positive. Hopefully no injuries and the team can get Phillips back next week against the Fins. Bills can choke out the division with a win against a tough Fins team.
  15. Wasn’t the rumored reason for Elam’s benching an injury that happened last minute and wasn’t on the injury report? Basically they had to list him as a “healthy” scratch for reporting reasons not because he was actually healthy and ready to go? If that’s the case I would say it’s likely that Elam plays.
  16. Not a good blocker and probably a little over his head as a rookie but I still would like to see him get some snaps in 4-5 wide situations. He can still make plays. I do think how he will he a good player going forward but he just needs to go through a full NFL offseason and put on some size and learn from his rookie year. I think he will be a really big part of the offense in 2023.
  17. They both collected big contracts elsewhere so they would likely be more willing to take a hometown discount also teams might be weary of giving them bigger offers since they both didn’t do too hot outside of Buffalo.
  18. I thought AJ played decently against New England hopefully that is a positive development.
  19. Seeding become drastically less important without a bye. Once teams hit the back 3ish games of the season I think teams would be less competitive for top seeds if all seeding amounts to is home field. Whereas if you have to play one less round and get home-field that seeding is something you are going to go all out for.
  20. I don’t think they should get rid of the bye at all you really need to make teams push for the best records beyond simply home field
  21. A tough blow but I do think the Bills DE group is good enough to win with. Groot is a really good player and Boogie and AJ have stepped it up and Shaq is having a nice rebound season. Next man up
  22. Bills likely need to go Oline twice in the first four rounds and then WR and safety assuming Poyer is gone. The team drafted Cook in round 2 even if Motor walks and Hines is cut they can use a later round pick for depth and sign a cheaper RB to round out a committee. The team has much more pressing needs than tossing yet another premium pick at the RB position.
  23. Just completely bizarre that they have Wilson a good QB and a decent supporting cast and they can't even put out a mediocre offense.
  24. If I was defending Josh I would try to roll with 7 in coverage a spy and 3 in the pass rush. A spy would hurt Josh's ability to scramble and while you are only rushing 3 you have 7 in coverage to make it difficult to throw into a lot of coverage even if Josh has time. The difference would be I hope with the Bills that they have been developing a better traditional run game that can run down the throats of a 3-2-6 or 3-3-5 defense. I hope as Cook gets going and the O-line gets healthier the Bills can really turn up the heat on running down teams throats. We shall see but the 3 rush plus a spy with a lot of coverage is going to be something teams do try against Josh.
  25. Brady is still a solid capable QB but he is really fortunate to be in the division he is in. If he was in a better division he would easily be out of the playoff race or on the fringes of it.
