  1. Yes, Beane is very serious about the importance of the role of a "Captain"...will need a new slate of them. Anyway, I assume most fans understand that such events and charities are scouted and set up by the player's agency and/or team. It's part of the business.
  2. but i read here that the Bears are now a well run franchise
  3. Beane bringing in "a veteran/leader" to the WR room, you say? Now that I consider it, given Beane's track record at this, Hollis could well be the next Kelvin Benjamin/Andre Holmes/Deonte Thompson/Terelle Pryor/Jeremy Kerley/Andre Roberts/Duke Williams/Emanuel Sanders/Jameson Crowder/Brown+Beasely 2.0/Deonte Harty/Andy Isabella/Trent Sherfield... ... and that's just the list of jabronies who made the roster.
  4. leaving it a penalty doesn't solve it's inherent problem: that it is impossible to fairly enforce. Beat your man or get beaten.
  5. nah, let them grab the jersey too. D-lineman has to beat that.
  6. eliminate offensive holding penalty. it's pointless to call occasionally a penalty that happens on every play.
  7. well it's a bit of hyperbole. but it's the only circumstance any NBA HC would sub in nearly any NFL guy. That's not a tough concept to contemplate...
  8. NBA players are soft. Lebrun cries for calls, sure. But he’s not strapping in a helmet for even a quarter of a game ever. No one who even casually watches football would ever claim there are no more big hits. Helmet to helmets obviously happen still—despite penalties. You’re not making much sense with this line of argument
  9. this will change everything!!!! lol
  10. NBA guys who say they could play significantly in the NFL are all delusional. These guys in today's NBA, to a man, cannot tolerate the slightest contact. they would all retire at halftime, week 1 after one big hit over the middle.
  11. It's not much of a boast. half this board could suit up and go in when the coach empties the bench up by 40....
  12. I've not seen them play. Help me out...tell me what you observed, objectively, during the careers of Rodemaker, Travis, Thorne.
  13. well...they were on TV more. that might make them subjectively better....
  14. as a recent 1st round Bills pick, Elam can't fulfill the OP requirement of "players whose careers have entered a downturn but are being given a second/third/fourth chance on their NFL careers on the 2024 Bills"......
  15. Richardson was a terrible passer in college—awful. In the NFL he can’t stay on the field in his first season. Evers will be an equally bad 1st round pick. Hes an overhyped (for YEARS) mediocrity's who will lose his job to Manning this year and enter the portal
  16. Maybe. but thus line saw Allen with top 5 in hurries, knockdowns and shortest pocket times. Josh makes this O line seem better than it is because he gets away from it as fast as few other QBs could. They give him very little time to stand back there. Less mobile QBs like Stafford or Goff or Prescott or Tua or Burrow would get destroyed behind that line.
  17. these guys don’t pick up on this. For them it’s a business. None of his teammates will car about what he said about Josh. I can’t imagine many Fins fans will get a rise out of this either. Most would take Josh over Tua in a heartbeat. OP is commenting on a true non-story.
  18. If only the Bills had given him a Beaner (1 year contract)....... AB is a TBD obsession!
  19. The article gives the OP zero reason to "speculate with confidence" that "Sure Miami fans are pissed at Poyer"
  20. nowhere does this article even hint that "miami fans are pissed at Poyer"... but hey, LAMP.
  21. True but since it’s legal in NYS, no one is going to “catch” you with a joint outside of work
  22. let’s unpack: guy is “annoyed” with “political crap”, promptly starts a thread about a political crap on the Bills board take this trash to PPP
  23. they probably would fire you if you were caught drinking on the job as well….
