  1. This has to be the least true statement made about this board in a decade. Not even a casual board reader would ever type those words and press “submit reply” wow wtf?
  2. NO! It's "The Post Beat-Down Letdown" talk!!!! Oh it has been far too long since we have even considered this on this board!
  3. Buy: Gabe. Allen needs to look more his way....and he will. Sell: Poyer. look for him watching receivers blowing past him and jumping on piles after 1st downs achieved. Hold: Kincaid. An extra blocker is nice, but they should be looking more Knox's way for production Sunday.
  4. Guy was offered a better seat. Declined so he could beef about it on social media. Maybe he'll get an upgrade somewhere else when he returns as "a Bengals Legend"...or Eagles Legend...or 49ers Legend...or Chargers Legend....or
  5. People keep saying "Greg Roman"--as though he has some magic. He doesn't. He has Lamar Jackson, who is light years ahead of Fields. And even with that, the Ravens have won a single game in Jackson's career. The kid had an insane 2019, a good 2020 and since has been (when on the field and not the whirlpool) mediocre. He's been 17-10 as a starter since 2020, with only 8 rushing TDs over those 27 games. The Jackson-Roman combo has kind of lost its luster.
  6. The Bears drafted him as their starting/franchise QB. If his incredible talents are limited to running, what playoff caliber Offense could be built around him? He's not nearly the passer that Jackson is. If you are saying he could be a Taysom Hill type of gadget sub, then sure, I guess so.
  7. No one cares about that. That's not what they are paying him for. The Falcons receiver stunk last year and Marriota had a better passing year. Ditto for Davis Mills. This isn't college--where he had a grand total of 22 starts at OSU...a school famous for not preparing their stat padding QBs for the NFL. This kid's draft stock is completely due to his one playoff game vs Clemson in 2020. He never should have entered the draft with that weak resume. In his 2 biggest games in his college career, he crapped the bed. As someone upstream said, this is a very bizarre hill to die on. He's awful at being an NFL QB---and getting worse.
  8. You have that backwards---I've stated that in every post. Coaches don't want it. Go yell at them for robbing you of all that kickoff excitement. No one has stopped watching the NFL because guys aren't getting drilled at the 21 yard line as much anymore...
  9. There ya go!! You should have just led with that and skipped all the "legislated out" nonsense. Anyway, yeah, those days back when guys ran back a lot more kicks, struggling to get to the 25 yard line. Look, the owners and teams aren't complaining--in fact the latter are taking advantage of the rule to get better field position, not to "reduce concussions". If they thought returning the kick was a better play, they would. They know it never was, so they don't. Go look at the XFL return stats and tell us how that's a more exciting play Stop digging that hole.
  10. Hence, why he was singled out before the season starts.....
  11. Fins, Chiefs, Bills The rest are all pretty much the same mediocre bums.
  12. Come on. He ranked in bottom 5-6 RT in pressure rate allowed in 2022. The guy is a weak link on the O-line. It's OK to point that out.
  13. before the season started, he was singled out because of his performance last year. these aren't random comments people are making.
  14. you've done this in every post, repeating it ad nauseum: giving teams a choice and options isn't "legislating out kickoffs". simple as that.
  15. Elam as a rookie allowed 70% catch rate and 96 rating against. HE's been left off the roster for a reason by the coaching staff. Perhaps these practices v. the starters aren't going so well...
  16. Why would anyone consider naming a weak link on a team akin to making him "a punching bag"? I never understood this. For example, Saffold was a disaster. Does saying so make him "a punching bag"?
  17. It seems like only yesterday the board was fawning over young Spencer Brown....
