The United States Code is a consolidation and codification by subject matter of the general and permanent laws of the United States. Title 26 of the US Code is the Internal Revenue Code. Within it, Subtitle F, Chapter 75, Subchapter A (Crimes), Part 1, Sections 7201-3 lay out what the penalties are for not paying income taxes as required by law. Now that that is out of the way....why do you pay taxes if you feel you have a solid legal argument to avoid paying them?

im not paying exorbitant prices. I have had spectrum for years, also Prime before NFL went there. I get to watch NFL 3 nights a week, multiple games on Sunday. If the NFL didn’t exist, I wouldn’t save a dime with my viewing habits

My thoughts about spending tax money on pro sports stadiums are well known here. However.... Your arguments collapse under mass of their logic-free filling. If there was a simple, cogent defense for not paying federal taxes, it would not cost "100's of thousands" as it would simply follow precedent for such. Likewise, the richest individuals would gladly pay "100's of thousands" to forever avoid paying millions in personal income tax. Yet they don't. “The courts have consistently rejected these arguments and imposed substantial penalties on those taking these unsupportable positions,” said IRS Chief Counsel Donald L. Korb. “Those potentially tempted by these schemes need to realize that they carry a heavy price for both the taxpayers and the promoters.” The IRS continues to investigate promoters of frivolous arguments and to refer cases to the Department of Justice for criminal prosecution. In addition to tax and interest, taxpayers who file frivolous income tax returns face a $500 penalty, and may be subject to civil penalties of 20 or 75 percent of the underpaid tax. Simple---that's the way they did business for decades: sell the product to one or two legacy networks and ESPN. Most people in the country could see multiple games on sunday and then MNF. Then the various networks upped the bidding price against each other. It only makes sense then for the NFL to split the pie even further and sell a night (TNF) or various games to the streamers who are willing to pay crazy premiums for the only really dominant programming content that reaches any TV in the world. People seem not to get that the the ratings and viewership matter far more to the broadcasters than the NFL. The networks and streamers have to make that money back with ads and subscriptions. F0r the NFL it's always a revenue stream that is guaranteed to go up in value every time a new contract is signed. The NFL doesn't care if some viewers don't get their favorite team on TV every week.

If your argument is now that all taxation is theft, then you are no longer railing against public funding of pro stadiums---which really don't rely on "back room deals". The politicians are not opaque about their support or opposition to these funds. It just comes down to how much. They crave power at least as much as money--none of them wants to be voted out of office for "losing the Bills".... The bolded part has been endlessly repeated by a certain type of individual--and routinely defeated in court. the 16th Amendment allows for the federal government to levy personal income taxes. It is illegal to not pay these. Likewise, Article 22 of the NYS Tax Law regards personal income tax. Willfully choosing not to pay them can result in jail time.

It's not a start up. It's the 3rd or 4th or 5th (all combined) iteration of the same failed product, over and over. Next year, the novelty will be even less "fresh". If they keep all their teams from both leagues, that will dilute the viewers of games even further--especially if the games are simultaneously broadcast. In 2020, the XFL started with 3 million viewers and averaged 1.87 million per game for the whole (shortened) season. This year's XFL averaged only 622,000--- a massive drop from 3 years ago. NFL is all about making money, not losing money. Plus, they get their pick and choose of better players right out of college. They send the guys they don't want over to these leagues. So really, XFL and USFL are only places where these guys can still live out a little of the pro football dream and make a little money before they have to find real employment.
