"Smoke" Brown 1.0 was a 1 hit wonder--took 115 targets to crawl over the 1000 yd mark as Allen's only legit outside option. Brown 2.0 was a showcase of Beane's ongoing cluelessness at WR
Cousins's contract could be creatively restructured by a clever GM. The Jets don't have one. They go a guy who was "assistant GM" in Denver for 2 whole years.
Woody has the cash to pay his guaranteed money out of pocket on the back end.
The ownerships for both NJ teams are catastrophically stupid--for years now.
“their own young guy”…turned out to be Justin Fields! That alone is a fireable Offense. He’s a huge bust and you bring him in to be your starter??
the old guy Rodgers threw 28 TDs on that team last year and he’s tied for 4th with 14 after 6 games on the Steelers.
this is how you rebuild? With Fields and Taylor as your QBs? Now they can overdraft another QB next year to throw into that toilet?
Ok
Giants may have something in those 2. But their HC is a dunce.
Saddled with a sad sack QB? This is the roster Glenn chose to roll with before the season started. Unlike the giants, his team is completely lifeless. That’s on him.
what are the Jets rebuilding? That starts with a QB--look wha the jets have done to that position the past 5 years--even the past 3 years. there's no evidence they are in a rebuilding mode.
Cousins would be the best QB they could conjure up over the net 3 years...
He was getting roasted frequently last year.
For the draft capital Beane blows on DBs, Taron and Tre are quite the 1-2 punch right now.
somebody post that Big Baller Beane pic right now lol!
there are different strata of backups to achieve that. TT is on the lower/lowest level as a backup. If he was a better backup, he wouldn’t be a backup on the Jets
Ultimate professional? Well he's still taking paychecks, I'll give you that.
He has 15 starts in the last 8 years on 4 different teams and won 6 games. Longest stretch was 6 games in HOU: 2-4 5 TDs 5 INTs.
I would pay a stronger backup....
you are confident that the Pats will lose games they should win because they are young.
the Bills just
lost 2 games they should have won but are not a young team….
how is firing Babich and promoting one of two other Babich's a "fresh approach"? This is how the Bills find their coordinators.
How about they look for someone with actual experience outside of the company? McD would never allow that now.
if either or both reported that the sky is blue, you would say “consider the source, he just has an axe to grind” …..
the recent piece in ESPN on how McD has “changed” validates what Dunne wrote a few years ago..
I disagree. Flacco threw tight spirals into small windows all night—and Chase, great as he is, dropped 2 perfect passes.
Browning was certainly considered semi-competent and he did nothing with those 2. Flacco was on fire
