why wasn’t he charged?

You are compelled by the sheer number of cases with Watson (me too)….yet still no charges. This reinforces the difficulty of bringing such such cases to charge. Despite copious similar accusations of exactly the same MO, DA never charged. So the posters who still insist that no charge means the victim is always a lying money grabber are simply nuts

Describe all of the facts of the case as you know them (hint: the decision by a DA to not press charge on an assault case is not a "fact" of a case, it's the outcome). You already know that (according to DOJ data) of the 310/1000 cases that are reported, only 50 lead to arrest. It's obvious that there often is not enough hard evidence for a DA to charge--they don't want to take anything to trial except slam dunk cases. She reported it to the cops (which less than half of victims do). It didn't go anywhere. If I'm her, I'm absolutely going to wait until the perp comes into some money and then sue--why not? Now she is guaranteed his response, unless he settles before he is deposed/discovery. If he settles then he's guilty. How many times has Watson been charged with assault, despite over 20 women suing him civily for it? That's right, zero---yet we are pretty sure he is guilty of it (because he plays for another team).

who would have been more of a key player? McD passing on Mahomes AND Watt is fireable.

CBs don't turn around a franchise. TJ Watt would have been far more value.... 4-5 of those 9 teams are the worst run franchises in the NFL, so what's your point? They made another bad decision?

Marty only had Rivers for 1 season. They went 14-2, lost to NE in the Div game. Spanos then fired Marty. Every Chargers HC since has done no better.

I would stay in midtown--near all transportation---at a chain hotel. You can uber out to Bethpage. Might be a struggle to get an uber back to the city after. But the LIRR station in Farmingdale is about a 20 min walk from the course and takes you to Penn Station. As for Yankee Stadium, take the B or the D from Rockefeller Center to the Stadium. Very easy. Do NOT uber. If you want to get wings outside of the Bills game/backer bar, I recommend Blondie's on the UWS. best I've had in the city. And at some point get some burgers from 7th Street Burgers--small chain in the city, can get with meat sauce that is most like garbage plate sauce. If you want real/best Chinese food, head to Flushing via the 7 chain. skip the Manhattan poseur shops.

we've been hearing about CTE being the downfall of the NFL for ages. We will be hearing that gambling will be it's downfall for ages still. There is no compelling argument that this is true. Gambling is turbocharging viewership, which is pushing broadcasting rights money almost exponentially, which pushes the cap further and further. That is only good for the NFL. This.
