Also, passing game now is totally different from what it was in early 2000s due to all the rule changes to protect qb and reduce mauling of receivers . So it’s quite a bit of apples and oranges to compare the two qbs based on early career.

I remember watching this game on TV. The OL deserved a bunch of kudos for opening huge holes for Thurman. It was a great game plan to take advantage of the size mismatch between the Bills OL and the built for speed KC defense.

Barkley proceeds to handoff the ball say 40 times and the Bills manage to win. Josh Allen would get credit for the win under that QBrec column even though he had zero contribution to the win.
