Also, passing game now is totally different from what it was in early 2000s due to all the rule changes to protect qb and reduce mauling of receivers . So it’s quite a bit of apples and oranges to compare the two qbs based on early career.

San Fran probably would have won the Super Bowl during that 2019 season with better QB play. They will look to upgrade from someone who is basically a game manager with all the big names being thrown around as in play.

I remember watching this game on TV. The OL deserved a bunch of kudos for opening huge holes for Thurman. It was a great game plan to take advantage of the size mismatch between the Bills OL and the built for speed KC defense.

KC uses its big offensive line to overpower Bills on ground again while a slightly hobbled Mahomes throws enough to keep the chains moving on key 3rd downs. KC - 34 Bills - 24

To show how flawed your argument is, what happens if say Josh Allen started a game and threw 3 passes that were all incomplete before he got benched for Matt Barkley to rest for the playoffs? Barkley proceeds to handoff the ball say 40 times and the Bills manage to win. Josh Allen would get credit for the win under that QBrec column even though he had zero contribution to the win.
