Who wants to apologize to Jairus Byrd?
papazoid replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
of course no one from the bills organization is going to hint or suggest Byrd is "milking it" or "overly cautious" or anything of the like if they have any hope whatsoever of signing him long term. i have no proof whatsoever that he could have played if he wanted to, just like his apologists have no proof whatsoever that his absense was totally legit and had absolutely nothing to do with the ugly business side of things, even though it was just a coincidence he finally decided to play after the trade deadline passed. Byrd does not want to be here and will not sign long term with the bills. he will continue to do everything he can to force the bills to not tag him again or trade him. the only way he plays for the bills next year is if they tag him again for $8.3 mil, at which time he will reaggravate his foot. -
Who wants to apologize to Jairus Byrd?
papazoid replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Motive: to reduce his exposure/risk to a more serious injury or aggravating the injury he had, which could effect his long term earnings. Byrd was injured (last year & this year), there is no doubt in my mind. now, having said that, he played through that same injury last season when it was in his best interest to do so. once he got his $6.9 mil GUARANTEED money and after months of offseason rest, he can't play through the injury to start this season ???? nonsense, he went all selfish and stiffed his teammates and fans. yet half the fans don't blame him. -
Well as of right now we draft 6th

shouldn't Jairus be apologizing to his teammates for stiffing them ? he may have made the difference in turning one or two of those losses into wins, thereby putting the team in the playoffs. -

needs: #1- LG (draft a LT and let him play LG for awhile) #2- OLB/DE (draft a DT and move Dareus to DE where he can use his quickness). #3- TE (currently the weakest group/position on team). #4- QB (not yet 100% sold on EJ). -
i agree with these comments.

according to Forbes, Bon Jovi has a net worth of $290 million. that's a little short of $1 Billion. http://www.forbes.com/special-report/2012/forbes-400/ones-to-watch/profiles/0917_ones-to-watch_jon-bon-jovi.html -
i'm a big EJ fan.... #1- i'm so thankful that EJ outplayed Geno. i really didn't want to hear we picked the wrong QB in that draft. #2- EJ is like a better version of tim tebow. all the intangibles with some accuracy issues. #3- getting another starter level QB through free agency or the draft is still needed.

most improved Bill from last season?
papazoid replied to tbonehawaii's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
#1- McKelvin (i'm shocked at the difference) #2- Cordy Glenn (guy has given up 1 sack all year) #3- Dareus (needed time to grieve) #4- A. Williams (safety is where he belongs) -

#1- stevie needs to move to the inside slot wr. #2- stevie is going nowhere until after the 2014 season due to salary cap and dead money issues ($8,475,000 dead money next year). his contract had $18 mil guaranteed and he will only have received $10 mil thru this year. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/stevie-johnson/ -
Dareus has made most of his impact plays lined up as the Left DE where he gets to use a combination of quickness and power. when he is strictly a nose tackle he does get pushed back on run plays. he is a penetrating DT not a Nose Tackle, he excels on pass plays..

now that the trade deadline has passed, it's time for him to showcase his health and skills to his next team. Q: Are you surprised you're still here? Byrd: Anything can happen. I'm not surprised at all. Q: Are you glad that day is out of the way? Byrd: I'm glad it's over and behind us, and we can just work on winning games. Q: Were there any whispers that a trade was close? Byrd: I don't want to get into that. I'm here. Let's win. Q: Are you glad you're here? Byrd: Yeah. Let's win. http://espn.go.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/3500/byrd-moves-on-as-trade-deadline-passes -
move Dareus to DE (replacing Branch) where he is a beast and draft another big ugly to plug the middle.

Who wants to apologize to Nate Hackett??
papazoid replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
start by thanking the defense for 4 turnovers. that one play call where EJ threw the ball 50 yards up in the air and 30 yards forward, letting the wind grab hold of it and then having TJ come back for it was pure genius. a 1.8 yard per rush average will not help in any month. this team is still mentally weak. (lee smith, frank summers, ron brooks, tj graham to name a few). fortunately the jets made more mistakes than we did. having said all that, I really don't have a problem with Hackett. I put it on the players to execute whatever he calls. the future is finally bright for this team, throw in a LG, a sacking OLB/DE, another TE and LOOK OUT !! -

ralph has never been cheap. he hasn't always spent his money or picked his GM's wisely. his commitment to WNY as evidenced by low ticket prices and the fact they are still here speaks volumes. was one of only two owners who correctly spoke out against the previous CBA. likely saved the AFL from folding by financially backing the Raiders and Patriots. I could go on and on. all that's left for sainthood is his estate plan to secure the team in WNY upon his passing and cement his legacy. god bless Ralph Wilson and may he live to 120.
