Due to the timing of the virus, the NFL is starting to catch up with the rest of the sports world. They're seeing athletes from other sports getting the virus even though they're following safety protocols. Training camp is scheduled to start in about 3 weeks. Reality is starting to sink in with the NFL players. Despite their best efforts to stay healthy, quite a few will likely get the virus. I can't blame Diggs at all for raising concerns about playing.
Based on what Beane and McD have done so far, I give them the benefit of the doubt. They know Cam very well. Perhaps they didn't believe he would be a good fit.
Florio picked Steelers over Bills. Bills won. Florio picked Cowboys over Bills. Bills won. Florio thinks Diggs overrated and Vikings won the trade. Simms likes Diggs for Bills and believes it is a fair trade for both teams. Florio might be fair but he is down on Bills. It's like death and taxes. I honestly can't recall last time Florio picked Bills in a game or said something positive about them.
Curious to see how many trades occur during the draft. Bellichick likes to move around the board a lot and so does Beane. Might keep trades down unless they're worked out ahead of time.
Alex Smith is a good guy. He suffered a terrible injury and has had serious complications post surgery from infections. I seriously doubt he ever plays again. Plus he's still a Redskin. Not an FA.
Depends on how McD and Beane view Singletary. Do they think he can be the primary back or does he share the role? They might want to upgrade the position as well. I like Singletary but they may want more.
The Bills roster is pretty much filled out. RB and CB are the only spots where I could see a rookie make any kind of significant impact this year. Everyone else is gonna sit for the most part imo.
Unless the Bills sign a RB, I could see them drafting a RB in round 2. They have short term answers at DE, CB, and WR so the needs there aren't as strong but BPA could be in play especially if they sign a veteran RB. Safety is another possibility.
