  1. Lorax was a unique player, a 2 down LB who rushed the QB on 3rd down. Plus he played special teams. I don't think one player will replace Lorax. Either they'll get a stud 3 down LB, unlikely, or have Joseph, Dodson or a FA 2 down LB along with a new pass rusher added to the mix. Then find his replacement on teams. What Yolo said. Beat me to it.
  2. Agreed. Beane and McD talked about keeping the roster intact as much as possible. I believe this means ponying up money for Shaq. Drafting a DE I think is in their plans as well.
  3. McD strikes me as someone who is self reflective and adaptable. I think he can and will change. He and Beane knew they were short of offensive talent this year. They tried to get Antonio Brown which to me was a good sign indicating they needed another playmaker. Fortunately he went to Oakland. Get two legit WRs with size and speed, another RB, and some oline help and McD will become more aggressive with his overall approach.
  4. I think the defense is very good. More turnovers, more sacks, and better tackling and they'll be elite. Need a game changer at DE.
  5. I would add Milano and H. Phillips to this.
  6. Dodson may have a shot at making 53. Lorax just retired and Stanford and Maurice Alexander are both free agents. Potentially 3 openings. Bills do have Vosean Joseph along with Edmunds, Milano, and Thompson.
  7. So, if Daboll gets the Browns job, who do you think McD would hire as next OC? The Dallas OC who just got fired would interest me. Had the top offense in the league.
  8. Too much blame on Allen. Brown should have caught ball inside 5 yard line. Duke had two hands on end zone ball in first half. Those were big plays in this game.
  9. I get your point.
  10. You're probably right. I was trying to be nice.
  11. Watch out for the Dolphins. They have a good coach.
  12. I agree with this 100%. Yesterday, clearly demonstrated a need for a WR1. A guy with speed, size, and big catch radius.
  13. You may be right on that. I haven't watched any replays. Just the game live.
  14. 10 targets and 4 catches. Three of them to the end zone and no catches. No other receiver had those opportunities except for Brown around 5 yard line. Yep, Williams was featured.
  15. 10 targets for 4 catches. They threw to him three times in the end zone and zero catches. He played 56 snaps. The guy played a lot. Why the sudden love for Williams? He was on the roster all season yet hardly dressed. To me, a real head scratcher. I thought he deserved the nod over Foster and he played fairly well but Brown and Beasley got us to the playoffs.
  16. Plenty of things in NFL don't make sense. Like the 3rd and 18 play in which the play clock goes to 0 before the snap. Yet this is not reviewable. Even though it was obvious.
  17. I get Duke playing over Foster. To have him be the featured receiver over Brown and Beasley is crazy though. You ride the guys who got you there. Brown, Beasley, and Singletary.
  18. I agree with most of this. What do they do at DE? Lawson is a FA. Also need a replacement for Lorax.
  19. I agree with most of your takes. I don't think it's a wasted season. This is a young team which gained valuable experience playing in prime time games on the road and holding their own. Yesterday they lost a very winnable road playoff game. This was a wasted opportunity to advance but not a wasted season. Yes, AFC East Division Champs and a home playoff game(s) are reasonable expectations for next year.
  20. No. If you are blaming Allen in the 2nd half then you have to blame in the first half. Only 13 points. Did he blow the throw to Williams? Did he blow the throw to Brown inside the 5? Or was it on them? If they score touchdowns there, they're up 21 - 0. Totally different game if that occurs. Instead they're dominating but only up 13 - 0. It was a team loss. Quit trying to pin it solely on Allen. It's a team game.
  21. This and settling for FGs won't win playoff games. Brown not getting feet down inside the 5 yard line and Williams not catching ball in end zone were missed opportunities. It was a weird game. They were close to blowing them out in the first half.
  22. This. Along with a few less missed tackles, a Williams TD at end of half, and a Brown catch inside the 5 yard line. Plus Ford was brutal out there.
  23. Definitely a strange game plan. They should have relied on the guys who got them there - Brown, Beasley, and Singletary. Bringing Duke up was right call because Foster hadn't done anything.
  24. Brace yourself. It's coming!! I'm guessing 2 WRs, an OT, and a RB to pair with Singletary.
