Earlier today, I was remembering how Trump was interested in owning the Bills. We dodged a bullet.

I guess beating the 49ers had something to do with it.

The Bills have invested heavily on defense and it's McDermott's forte. Yeah offense didn't play particularly well but that was the Bills worse game on defense this year. I think McD expected more from his team and in particular the defense. Now the starters are playing against the Jets.

McD was annoyed after the Pats game. Defense gave up 450 yards. If defense played well maybe they win. A lot of missed tackles. McD trying to get the team playoff ready and clean up some stuff. Is there some risk playing starters against Jets? Yes. McD has changed the culture at OBD and he's trying to build the expectation of competing in the playoffs every year or close to it. They are a young team and McD is leading the way. It's not what I expected but I'm giving McD the benefit of the doubt. He's with these guys every day and he's been in the league a long time. Two playoff appearances in three years with the Bills. Usually this time of year, we're talking about tanking the last game and what draft spot are we getting. A breath of fresh air. Kick ass McD!!

Nope. No game plan is good if you don't block or tackle.

I think its about the players practicing and preparing for the next game (Jets) and keeping the players in a routine and focused. I don't think Allen and some others play more than a quarter or so. In Pats post game, McD stated that Bills didn't do well on both sides of line of scrimmage and some of their fundamentals were off. Too many missed tackles imo.

You go with Lorax for the rest of the season. Make change in off season most likely. He's been a good player but Bills need a younger, more athletic LB and more LB depth in general.

WR and DE I believe are top 2 needs. Bills need 2 WRs to replace Williams and Foster. I could see Bills draft a WR (1st or 2nd rd) and sign a FA WR. Draft is deep at WR. A legit #1 WR could truly transform this offense. DE is a serious need. Bills really need a pass rushing force. The Bills defense doesn't generate enough turnovers imo. Murphy and Hughes aren't generating enough pressure. Someone is going to pay Shaq more than he's worth. Drafting a DE is the way to go. 1st or 2nd rd. RT is a close 3rd. Even if they keep Ford at RT the Bills need another OT to develop. Nyseke will be entering final year of contract and has injury history. LB, RB, and CB are needs as well. I suspect Bills will use some cap space to extend either White, Milano, or Dawkins this off season.

After playing Dallas, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and New England in rather tough physical games I think you rest as many guys as you can. Especially players like Gore, Lorax, Hughes, Morse and anybody who may be dinged up.

Rookie WRs usually take some time to develop. I'd prefer Bills sign a FA WR and draft a WR in the 1st or 2nd. DE would be the other pick.

A good call and one that makes opponents plan even more if they play the Bills. I also like the TD to Brown. It's almost like the Bills were telling other Patriots opponents this is how you beat Gilmore.

I believe Bills saved their "A" game plan for either Watson or Mahomes, whoever they play in the playoffs. If they play Brady again, they'll come at him hard.

Yep. Bills had two possessions with the lead (17 - 13, and 17 - 16) to get a few first downs, give defense a blow, and extend the lead but played too cautious.

This. I think McD is in playoff mode already. Yesterday was a glorified preseason game. The Bills had little chance of improving playoff position yesterday and played a vanilla game. They tried to win without showing anything for their playoff opponent. McD went fox hunting yesterday without horses, dogs, or guns and still almost bagged one. I think Chiefs will beat Cheaters.

It took me a few hours to come to this same conclusion. The Bills tried to win with a very basic/conservative game plan but didn't execute very well. If the Bills could have won the division on their own without help from Miami next week, the game plan would have been rather different imo. Since that wasnt the case, they played very vanilla in many ways. They didn't want to show anything special to Houston or KC.

I hear you. It was a tough game for quite a few Bills today.

His last punt today though wasn't that good. Only 35 yards. Generally I agree with you. He's been better. Really nice game against Dallas.

The Pats FG drive made it 10 - 3 and chewed up about 9 minutes of game time. Defense looked worn down on the last TD drive of game. Poor tackling at times and Michel gashed them pretty good.

I watch ESPN for Monday Night Football and nothing else. Even then, I turn down the volume. Those takes of Josh Allen are just ridiculous.
