AB is a world class troll. 😂

I was somewhat in the same boat as you with Coleman, but I can't lie that drill where they were running through the gauntlet catching those passes, the way he was easily plucking those balls out of the air at full speed, in fact his time speed running through that gauntlet was faster than anyone else. Then I saw some MPH instances that he had throughout the collegiate season and it was up there among the fastest times. I think his playing speed is much faster than his timed speed and I believe he is a natural catcher of the ball. I wouldn't want him to be my 1st round pick, but I have warmed up to him to consider him to be our 2nd round pick. I have him now as WR #7 in this years draft.

I have been on the WR bandwagon for 1st round pick for a couple years now. The top 20 WR's in this years draft is probably higher quality than at any time that I can remember. You could probably find a good WR in the first 3 rounds. It got me thinking, what player if they became available anywhere in the vicinity of the 28th pick that is not a WR that you could not pass up on? For me, it would be LAIATU LATU. Edge rusher is a position of need, they are a premium pick position and Latu fits the bill. He for me would be very difficult to pass up if he were available somewhere around the 22 pick up. He's a stud, great technician, has all the moves, great pro typical size with a history of fantastic production at a big university. I think the dude will end up being a 10+ a year guy right off the bat.

Is drafting Diggs replacement a priority in this draft?
Magox replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I believe so. Doesn't necessarily mean that Diggs is a goner in 2025, if he shows he still has juice and is productive then it doesn't make sense to get move on from him in 2025. But that is a big if. And I'd rather draft someone who we believe can potentially be the #1 WR this year so that if Diggs is not with us in 2025 that this player would already have a year under his belt to potentially move into the #1 spot rather than relying on drafting a premium pick to become that guy as a rookie. -
I'm not kidding and aside from Thomas Jr., McConkey will go on to have better careers than the other three guys.

I believe we are going to have a WR room that is going to be playing all over the field, interchangeable parts. I think you will see Samuel, Diggs, Shakir and Kincaid all operating a decent bit out of the slot and outside. I believe its going to be a very possession like passing with rushing attack mixed in with deep down the field passes. Samuel has a lot of physical talents and he's somewhat versatile. He hasn't had good QB's throwing him the ball and the ones who have thrown it to him were his QB's for less than a year on average, so no chemistry was ever able to get established with the QB. This gives the Bills some flexibility with who they can draft at the WR. They won't be pigeon holed to chase after a burner, they could be free to draft the best WR available and to me that sounds more appealing.

Good, now let’s draft McConkey and we are set on offense.
-
To my understanding is that it starts at $3.5M This appears to be $7M over two years, however there are incentives which I don't believe qualifies as counted income. I could be wrong.
-
I thought he was excellent as a #2 RB. Ideally, I do believe we would like to have more of a short yardage sort of back added to the roster, I'm guessing we will look to add one to the team before the season begins.
-
There is very little doubt that when DaQuan is healthy this defense plays at a higher level. I'm good with the signing, just draft another early pick IDL and maybe pick up some depth and we are good to go at the position for the year.
-
This move puzzles me a bit. The cap savings this year is minimal, however in 2025 I believe the cap savings is over $5m. Bates I thought all along was going to be given pole position on being Morse’s replacement and provided valuable depth. I’m not sure a 5th rounder and some cap savings is enough of a trade off. Beane and McD must really like who we have on the roster that can replace what Bates was providing.

For me this is how I see the top Receivers. Harrison Odunze Nabors Thomas jr Mcconkey Worthy Mitchell Coleman Franklin Lagette I was looking more into Worthy and aside from his elite athleticism, he’s a much better route runner than I originally thought and what I also like about him is that he has always had good consistent production even as a freshman. I think he’s a gamer. He may struggle against physical press coverage on the boundary. Whoever drafts him should often look to use him in motion sort of like what Miami does with Tyreek so that he avoids those situations.

Just for ***** and giggles
-
Not surprising, they are the most athletic group in football.
-
Because he’s white. Most white receivers are slot guys.
-
If the Bills really like one of the WR’s and they are around somewhere in the low 20’s then I could see that as well.
-
For those saying McConkey is just a slot WR kind of guy.
-
I think between McConkey, Diggs and Shakir they could split reps in the slot and boundary.
-
I would love to have Mcconkey, I just think he’s going to be a very productive receiver in this league. He’s not the blow it off the top kind of guy I think the Bills are looking for but no way he will be around when the Bills pick in the 2nd round. Maybe trade back some and get McConkey and Worthy: Won’t happen but I would be good with it if it did happen.
-
Mcconkey IS silky smooth. So effortless, great route runner, fantastic hands, separates probably better than anyone in the draft and now his speed comes in as not just as acceptable but as a speedy guy. I had a hunch he was going to come in the mid 4.4’s.
-
If Shakir primarily plays on the boundary with some slot I think he’ll be ok. If he plays primarily the a lot with some boundary duties I believe he will have a really good year. He has surprising speed, showed that he has burst. He is a good and willing blocker He is good with contested catches He has shown really good/clutch hands, specially when it mattered. He is well above average RAC His biggest weakness is that he doesn’t separate great when matched up man coverage. His route running is ok. I think overall he’s a good player.

What realistic Free Agents are on your wishlist for the Bills?
Magox replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the Bills look to make their “splash” pick with a safety before the draft. Then pick up some additional players through FA after the draft. -
I don’t believe that was Cosell’s picks on that screen. I believe it was from a different source. He was not thrilled about Coleman but loved Mitchell and this shows the reverse.
-
Pats now have 101 million in cap space - What would you do with that?
Magox replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m a proponent of teams keeping their powder dry when they don’t have their franchise QB in place. However, they most likely will draft their QB this year and if I were their GM, I’d look to shore up their O line and get a good FA WR along with some other character fits. I wouldn’t look to blow it all at once. The FA’s they pick look to have higher cap hits in the first year or two so that they don’t have to maneuver as much in a few years if indeed they did get their QB through the draft
