  1. What I like about Douglas other than his length, physicality and proven track record of production is his awareness. He is always looking at the QB's eyes which is why he was able to jump on that second int. He was covering another player and saw the QB looking at another WR and he decided to close in and jump the other guys route. A really good heady play by Douglas. I think with Benford, Douglas and Jackson, we have good enough boundary corners to take this team as far as the offense will take them. The pickup of Joseph also really stabilized this defensive line, another good pickup. The offense just needs to be like it was yesterday on a consistent basis and the Bills could end up making the playoffs and being a very dangerous team.
  2. They more than made up with it on the Russell Wilson trade
  3. I love Von, but I can't tell you how many times he said something and it didn't end up being the case. Also, how did he come up with 94.5%? lol
  4. I don't know if Vonn will play but I don't believe the injury to Groot will impact their decision making in regards to Vonn playing. I think this game is going to be a dog fight, the Jags match up well against the Bills and they have the advantage of already being there a week. I hope I'm wrong but I do think it will be a hard fought close game.
  5. Jacksonville has been there for over a week now so their bodies should be more acclimated than the Bills. That could give them an advantage when it comes to who has more bounce to their steps. Also, Jacksonville has a really good CB in Tyson Campbell, he's been playing very well and that could pose an issue for Diggs. Their defense played very well against us the last time we played. Their defensive line is stout against the run. They also have Josh Allen who played a great game last time we played and he's been balling out this year. There are definitely things that they can point to.
  6. It's also been helpful that we have used the 2 TE formation more often, they've helped with chipping at the DE's before they run their route, it's really helped to mask some of Spencer's deficiencies.
  7. To be fair, those two picks had nothing to do with Gabe and everything to do with Josh.
  8. After the first two drives, the defense only gave up 6 more points the rest of the game! Thats a dominant performance.
  9. Kincaid is performing very well, this is a team that has a decent amount of weapons and the fact that he is getting this many targets as a rookie TE is impressive. Plus, I've seen him open quite a few times where he didn't receive the ball. With time, he will end up being Josh's favorite target, Josh's eyes probably aren't as accustomed to looking that way as often as he could but they will end up syncing up with one another to end up being one of the best QB/TE hookups in the league. I'm sure of it.
  10. Frazier seemed to defend decent to poor offenses extremely well, it's when we begin to play the better offenses, specially in the post season where the defense would disappear. I just keep thinking back to last season against the Bengals and they had a critical third and short and our DB's were playing nearly 10 yards off the receivers. There does seem to have more of an edge to this defense, but it is extremely early and we haven't really faced any good offenses yet, so we'll see.
  11. That's fine, I'm not saying what is more important than the other just that if I were to make a hire as a GM, I would want the coach that I hired to not just oversee the side of the ball where he was a coordinator but to have a very active role in implementing the system.
  12. I agree with this. Same here, I head the company that I work for sales operations and we have call centers that we have setup throughout the country and the guys that I've promoted to head the call centers all were star performers in sales, of course they needed to have other qualities and intangibles to get the position, but to this day I still have them heavily involved in the sales side of their call centers, specially on the sales training. Even to this day, where I have nearly 500 employees who report to me, I still myself have a book of business of clients that I service. I don't do that to make the extra money, I do that primarily so that I know of the challenges and trends in our industry that our sales agents have to face. Yes, being an overall leader of a team, you have to be more than what you were as a coordinator, I see a couple people commenting saying that they need other qualities as if this was an EITHER OR scenario. Of course you need leadership, but it requires more than just leadership or you could hire someone from outside of Football to lead your team. There has to be a strong understanding of the game and if you were someone who has proven to be a really good coordinator then it's absolutely mind numbingly stupid to not have the coach have an active hands on role on that side of the ball specially considering that they excelled at a high level.
  13. I didn't say it was a new concept, what I said was that it's not practiced that often.
  14. When a Defensive or Offensive Coordinator gets hired to become a head coach of an organization, presumably its because that coordinator excelled in that role. It never made sense to me that as soon as they are hired that they pretty much give up what they were good at, outsource it to a new coordinator who often times they don't have previous working relationships with. I think if you see guys like McVay and Reid to name a couple, these guys still have very active roles in where they made their living and they've had good results doing so. I think we are beginning to see that with McDermott, yes its early to make any final proclamations but McD was a hell of a Defensive coordinator and I think you are seeing his style of defense playout with how the Bills have played the past few weeks. I think if I were the GM or owner of the organization and I were to make a new hire for head coach I'd want him to play a more involved role on what got him hired than what we traditionally see from head coaches. Thoughts?
  15. The game vs the Raiders was the first time that I saw what it would truly look like to have a well balanced rushing and passing attack. It was methodical and with a purpose. The rush attack was beautiful, hitting them with good runs up inside with a RB that can bounce it to the outside and cause some damage. The effective ground game with the 2 TE setup chipping at their DE's along with the play action is the way. This is the sort of offense that wins championships, I just hope that Allen can remain patient and make good decisions.
  16. That's awful. My thoughts are with his grieving family.
  17. Disney drops all but free speech claim in political retaliation suit against DeSantis https://www.cnbc.com/2023/09/07/disney-drops-all-but-free-speech-claim-in-political-retaliation-suit-against-desantis.html
  18. That's because he's slick and he doesn't actually believe half the things he says. Vivek of today could have an amazing debate vs. Vivek of just 6 months ago. You can find these sort of lies, fables and flip flopping comments that Vivek says almost daily. I’ve never seen so many provable lies and flip flops from a politician in all my life. Enough to make John Kerry blush
  19. Josh is just fine, the Bills are too. We have just about as good a chance at winning it all as anyone else.
  20. For that it doesn’t matter much. Where it matters if he’s out a few games and your backup can help win a couple. That could be difference between making playoffs or gaining home field advantage.
  21. Two more polls showing DeSantis with a pretty big bump after the debate. Vivek, pretty flat. That's just because most of his supporters are supporters of Trump.
  22. In Iowa it won't hurt him or for that matter SC. But, there are some states that believe it will hurt his electability in a general. Some of his donors don't like that he did the 6 week abortion bill. However, he isn't forcefully saying it, he's trying to kind of have it both ways but if you hear what he says, he would leave it up to the states to decide which is the right approach. When they press him on it, he basically just says "I will be a pro life president".
  23. Believe it or not, they weren't. That number that you see that they keep throwing out is a completely fabricated number. All that means is how many times it showed up in someone's feed. So the same person could just scroll through it a number of times and that person could have hundreds of views in a short time period. Specially when you take into account that Elon pinned it on his X account. There were only about 14 million who watched at least 2 seconds of it and about 7% of those 14 million which is about a million watched the entire video. So 1 million for Tucker and 13 million for the Debate. In terms of DeSantis, yes he's kind of a quirky dude. And he does use some canned lines, no doubt about it. If I were on his team, I would just suggest to him to not have any rehearsed lines and speak naturally. There is no one on that stage that can speak to the substance as well as DeSantis. I've been watching him for years and when he does interviews, the dude is just straight up knowledgeable about these topics. He needs to embrace his inner nerdiness and speak substantively which is he more than capable of doing. However, they set out what they wanted to do which is talk about the things they care about and let that huge audience of 13 million hear it. Have a listen to that Mark Levin 6 minute segment I put up above. DeSantis won his initial race by less than 1 point against at that time a rising African American star in Gillum. lol He transformed that state into a plus 1 state into a plus 19, so they aren't a swing state any longer. Wisconsin is a state I believe tailor made out of those 3 for DeSantis. A lot of suburbs which Trump struggles with where DeSantis would do much better and his credentials should do well in the rest of the state aside from the cities of course.
  24. Yes, it's difficult to after DeSantis on substance and policy. You aren't going to outflank him from the right, you aren't going to go after him on his ability to win a purple state and you most definitely aren't going to go after him for getting ***** done that us righties care about. He's bar none the most accomplished person running along with Trump. I'd argue more impressive wins than Trump but we can leave that argument for another day. Check out what Mark Levin today just had to say about about DeSantis. It's a 6 minute clip. He also happens to share a similar view of some of what I said on Vivek, that he's an empty slate that talks of doing revolutions when in fact he hasn't done squat for righties and the only one on that debate stage that has done things is DeSantis.
  25. I can't speak to others but I won't misquote him and I can assure you that there are tons of positions that he has taken that he did not hold just 6 months ago. This right here speaks exactly to what I was just saying. It looks like this polling data matches that.
