  1. Harsh but true.
  2. He's borderline. He has a lot of drops. A lot. If you mean dumpster diving through other teams cuts then I'm sure they will. There's not a high chance of finding something that way but it can be done.
  3. You should go talk to the Bills. You could save them a lot of money on training staff, MRIs, medical evaluations, etc.
  4. Interestingly, I remember that SJ has quite a few posters on TBD calling for him to play more. I never saw anything in him but apparently they did. I don't hear the same clamor for the guys you just mentioned. Honestly, I'd rather have Goodwin for 4 games than one of them for 16.
  5. I'm not sure I see anything in Dez Lewis that would lead me to try and get him on the practice squad, but if he's the best out there then you gotta have bodies available.
  6. Didn't he make the team a couple of years ago without playing at all in the preseason? Personally, I agree with this. I'm not sure if Goodwin can stay healthy for most of a season, but until there is someone on the roster who shows greater potential then you might as well keep him.
  7. That's what this guy said, but who knows. http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolphins_in_depth/2016/08/mario-williams-dolphins-debut-leads-to-questions.html
  8. Time will tell if the good play translates into the regular season, but looking good during the preseason is better than stinking during the preseason.
  9. We'll have to agree to disagree on this. I would cut Spikes. He hasn't shown anything so far, IMO. And without Ragland and Lawson I'd say the LBs are no better than last season. They just swapped out journeymen here and there.
  10. We do? P Brown and Z Brown are better than P Brown and Bradham? I'm not so sure.
  11. Are we sure that he will start? I'm envisioning Washington - Worthy - Williams with Bryant subbing in for Washington and Williams. If the Bills play Washington, Bryant and Williams then they don't have anyone who can play NT so they'd have to go 4-3 and that's not going to happen in this defense IMO.
  12. Yes, but they don't like teams always starting from the 20. That's reduces scoring.
  13. Why have anything? Is it to help the bookies set the odds?
  14. The part that really bakes my noodle, is that "the ground can't cause a fumble" because the player is down as soon as the ball touches the ground ... unless he is a receiver... in which case he is NOT down because the ground CAN cause an incompletion.
  15. I think they would say that if you take steps in an effort to run and gain more yards then it's a football move. If you are taking steps while trying to maintain control on the way to the ground then it's not a football move.
  16. Basically, what the NFL wants is no kick returns. They either want you to start from the 25 or make an onside kick. Except they don't want you to have to declare that you are going to use an onside kick the way you have to declare your 2 point conversion attempt now. Problem is, they don't know how to make this happen. Eventually, they will just eliminate kickoffs and make teams declare their intentions. Maybe 2 more seasons until this happens.
  17. That is the essence of EJ. At his best, he just let's it rip. Sometimes it's a great play and sometimes a crazy throw into double coverage. At his worst, he is super tentative and doesn't pull the trigger at all. But he is never consistently good.
  18. First of all, Little's play should totally be a catch. However, the stupid rule as I understand it is that in order for the receiver to get credit for a catch, he needs to maintain control all the way to the ground or make a football move after getting possession. He can get the ball, get 4 steps in bounds and then 4 more out of bounds like Little did and still not have a catch if he loses it going to the ground. I think if he got two feet down and then made a move, like punching the DB in the face, it would have been a catch if he lost it afterwards. Similarly, if he never went to ground and the the DB knocked it out after he was out of bounds but standing up, then I think it would have been ruled a catch.
  19. I haven't seen anything from Spikes that would lead me to want him on the roster. He looks terrible out there. Probably go ahead and just keep 4 ILBs. Use the roster spot for a KO specialist or a FA guard. Or just keep S Lawson on the active roster. Also, I don't think Groy and Velasco are safe for the final roster. I see the Bills bringing in some FAs after teams make their final cuts.
  20. If you say that something happened but don't know when or what it is or if there will be a suspension or not, then that's probably not enough to break the story, IMO. He just throws something out there to be first before he really knows what is happening. Oh, and that is for including the usual bashing of other posters that makes TBD such a pleasure to read.
  21. Maybe I missed something. What has Tim G dug up?
  22. I thought Tim G walked that one back. I don't think Tim G has any idea what the suspension is for or if in fact there is even going to be a suspension. He's just speculating based on the speculation of someone he knows. Crack reporting.
  23. Ridiculous. Luckily for him it doesn't really matter at all since he's suspended.
