  1. This has to be some kind of record. Acquired Monday and waived on Tuesday? Damn.
  2. They're calling him a DL but he would likely play OLB in Rex's scheme. No way they cut one of their DL for him. I don't think he would start over Manny but would provide additional depth. If Rex and Whaley think he can help then why not,
  3. It appears so, and if it is it's totally absurd. In fact it's so outrageous that if it wasn't the NFL I would never believe it.
  4. I need one of those I think...
  5. Graham doesn't know what it's about. Neither does Lawson apparently. There's an investigation going on into some unknown event, occurring at an unknown date with unknown people (except Lawson) that may or may not yield a suspension. Awesome.
  6. Rex has always had very good defensive personnel. This may be one of his worst front 7s to start a season ever in terms of raw talent.
  7. Now you sound like Trump- when Kaepernick said that America oppresses black people he didn't mean everyone. Only "bad" Americans I guess. But how about responding to the essence of the post- is this act helping the situation or hurting it? Why? I gave my opinion and reasoning. I think the national reaction has shown that it's pretty sound. What's yours?
  8. Kaepernick: won't stand to show pride for "a country that oppresses black people and people of color" The United States contains over 300,000,000 people that were just called racists and insulted as a group. That probably makes most of them less sympathetic to what he is talking about.
  9. See all of the productive discussion this act has created? 😄 Now everyone will join hands and look for solutions together to this problem... Or maybe it's made them more entrenched than ever in their beliefs and less likely to work together to find a solution. Just doing SOMETHING doesn't mean that you're helping. Typically, insulting entire populations is not a positive step towards real change.
  10. I'm talking specifically about the first part of the season. As you mentioned, he won't be there.
  11. I know that this won't be a popular opinion, but to have a good pass rush you need players that can consistently defeat 1v1 blocking. You can't rely on fooling people with schemes because that doesn't work vs good teams and top QBs. Right now, the Bills have 1 (Hughes) or maybe 2 (K Williams- if he comes back fully from his knee injury which has yet to be seen) who can do this. That's not enough to generate a strong pass rush in the NFL.
  12. No. One of the funniest looking players in the NBA
  13. I don't think so. The actual rule was posted in the other thread. It says that any contact to the knees, even if it begins above the knees and slides down, is illegal. By the rule, it looked like a penalty. Although the rule itself may be questionable.
  14. I heard that every time you break a bone it comes back stronger than before. If that's true his back should be unbreakable at this point.
  15. Pretty soon this article needs to be moved to the politics forum doesn't it?
  16. And Polish Americans and Irish Americans share October and Irish American history month is in March. But only black american history month is taught in schools- at least the ones around here. Not Native American, Irish, Italian, Polish or any other that I'm aware of. So if a student complains that they only get one month, as in the example that started all of this, then to respond that they are lucky to have one celebrated is not inappropriate, IMO. Are you saying that the student was correct and they deserve more? If so, why and to what purpose?
  17. When is native american history month?
  18. This is true, but it's fun to watch and this is entertainment after all. What do a bunch of women on the sidelines jumping around and shaking their breasts have to do with sports? Same thing.
  19. I don't agree with saying or doing this, but it's his opinion and right to do so. It's probably going to end up being counterproductive as it hardens views on all sides and prevents people from finding real solutions. But that's probably less important to him than feeling like a revolutionary.
  20. You wonder if teams wouldn't be better off dropping 8 and 9 men into coverage more often and blitzing far less. Only problem is that you can't really do too much to the receivers either anymore. So, when you can't hit the QB, can't hit the WRs and the OL can hold then it becomes tough to defend the pass.
  21. Meanwhile, TEs get their knees taken out and RBs get body slammed with no reaction. The double standard with respect to QBs is out of control.
  22. They were both clean as far as I could tell.
  23. I wish the Bills had made it honestly. They have such a need for pass rushing LBs right now. Why not take a chance? On the cusp of making the playoffs? Maybe. On the cusp of a championship? No.
