  1. It may not look so funny when they do the Bills.
  2. It was a decent recovery, but they didn't get back the #3 overall that they used on him. The Colts pick was #26 right? So that's a pretty big fail actually.
  3. Would have been a better signing, IMO. But hopefully Bush can turn back the clock and provide something at RB.
  4. Would be a great add, IMO. Even when Manny and, eventually, Shaq return, he would still be the best pass rush option of the three for his season. A one year deal would be a half-court shot at the buzzer as far as the left "edge" position is concerned.
  5. Yeah, and NE will be 0-4 without Brady, so the 4-0 Bills should be cruising by then.😄
  6. Jets are going to be pretty tough. They've probably improved what was already a very good defense and haven't really lost anything meaningful on offense except for Ivory. The biggest worry I'd have if I were a Jet fan is whether Fitz will be able to replicate, let along improve, on 2015-16. However, with Gailey as his OC and given how comfortable they are together I'd say the changes are good he won't totally fall off.
  7. Chip Kelly. When Johnson was with Washington, Steve Spurrier, the coach at the time, was asked by the press if Johnson might get a start since they were struggling at QB. Spurrier said that Johnson needed to figure out which direction the offense was supposed to go first.
  8. Yes. That post is revisionist. Which shows you how meaningless those stats are in today's pass happy league.
  9. Duo backfield is a waste of time. Only one can carry the ball. The other one needs to block. Who would you rather have block- McCoy, Bush or Felton? Or even better, another lineman or TE? And if you say they're going to throw it then why not put a WR on the field? I doubt that Bush is a better WR than Robert Woods. I know McCoy isn't. There's a reason that the two headed backfields aren't used anymore in the NFL. This is total speculation, but I suspect that Bush is looking for somewhere where he will have more of an opportunity than in Buffalo. Here, he's basically a punt returner and third string RB. I think that there are places where he could be a clear #2 and maybe even a part time #1.
  10. Good. Bring him on. Picking on Geno isn't really fair.
  11. Plus, Miami is going to finish below Buffalo and New England is going to finish above them so the Jets are competition for a potential wil card spot.
  12. Hey, as long as the Pegulas are willing to pay for his invaluable services then who cares? It's not like he took the job away from someone else. I'm sure that this position was invented so that he could have it.
  13. That's obviously the most favorable comparison to draw, but I don't think they have the same running style. Wilson is lower to the ground and never seems to be exposed when he runs. Tayler looks more like RGIII to me. Anyway, time will tell. He sustained some injuries in his very first season with about the same number of carries as Wilson, so that's not too promising if he continues at that rate.
  14. He's going to get hurt. He's not built like Cam Newton. He needs to run 4 or 5 times a game, max, if he's going to last in the league. If everyone is covered, then extend the play and if necessary throw it away. Don't run it and get hit every time you can't find an open receiver. Save your runs for the key downs.
  15. The censorship of Bleacher Report is pretty meaningless, IMO. I still read what I want from it and you can refer to articles without posting direct links so whatever. It apparently makes some people feel good so I've got no problem keeping it.
  16. Knox was a good coach, but I kind of see him as the Marty Schottenheimer of his era. His discipline and "ground chuck" approach was able to turn multiple teams into winners but his success always seemed to wane in the post season. OK, he's probably a little better than Marty but still not HOF worthy, IMO. Of course if Chris Doleman is in there...
  17. Is a man defined the worst thing he has ever done? He screwed up. But I'm sure there is good in him too and I wouldn't begrudge him a second chance. Unfortunately, the other problem for him is that he's not the player or 3 or 4 years ago.
  18. No. Is FJ just waiting for a devastating knee injury before he retires? He was a very good back but he's well past his prime. Get out while you're still semi healthy.
  19. The defense is still probably a year or two away from having the personnel to play Ryan's scheme at its best. They need another OLB desperately. IF Lawson is the guy then I think it will be next season at the earliest before he is really effective due to all the time he will miss and being a rookie and all. They also need another DE, maybe two if Kyle Williams doesn't come back 100% from his injury. Plus Ragland is just a rookie so it's very likely that he will be spotty this season at best.
  20. It's not his fault. The head coach told him to suck, so what could he do?
  21. I'm sure the Kraft family was picking up the tab.
