Criticism of McD and coaching has reached insanity level…
EasternOHBillsFan replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
That kind of stuff is what hurt the Browns with Baker. I am in no way saying Josh is Baker, but if toughing it out hurts the team and hurts the player, it makes no sense for Josh to do that again. -
Well then buckle up for some John Cooper like seasons coming up then... it's not looking good so far at all. What happened in the second half of the game on Saturday is a warning sign... last year, the defense was supposedly the problem and that was supposedly fixed. This year the coaches in their entirety starting with Ryan Day have a lot to answer for.

This isn't personal, this is business. It's the haves and have nots with NIL involved. A player going to Wisconsin isn't a smart move and Fickell isn't going to make much of a difference. Not my fault you can't see the forest for the trees.

Kyler Murray: How did the Cardinals fall for it?
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bidwill loves Steve Keim, that's why. The Bidwill family has NEVER been sharp as ownership and it explains why they have been lost as a franchise for decades. Sure they struck gold for a couple of seasons, but their track record SUCKS. Keim is the one that did the deal for Murray, and until Bidwill fires him, others like Kingsbury will get the axe and Kyler will keep getting paid. -
What story? LOL Last time I checked, the game is played by players and not by coaches. School can throw all the money they want to at head coaches, but it means jack squat if players feel they won't get the NIL deals they would at other schools. In no way can Wisconsin keep up in that regard. Michigan State threw a 10 year, $95 million contract extension at Mel Tucker, and now where are they at?

How can you not say he's on the hot seat? He literally took what Urban handed him and frittered it away. When the 12 team playoff system arrives, I guarantee you Ryan Day's way of coaching will never win them a title.

Being deceptive about injuries is what the Cheatriots do, not the Bills. If they did hide this then it's not good. -
No he's not... Wisconsin is one of the Big Ten have nots in the newly aligned NIL universe.

I take solace in knowing that no matter what, since 1997, the Buckeyes have two more championships than Xichigan. Ryan Day should be fired if he loses to Xichigan next season. I'm tired of the lack of adjustments and pedestrian play calling on offense. Harbaugh is clearly outcoaching him at this point.

I'm not impressed with Fickell and I'm glad they scooped him up now because he's not good enough to coach at TOSU. I don't think Day lasts at Ohio State...

Khalil Shakir's pic on a milk carton
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall
Man first Dorsey, THEN McDermott, and now players like Shakir???!?!? Did you SEE the stat line for McKenzie? 6 REC/96 YDS/1 TD and led the team in yards. Between the receivers, 17 receptions and Stefon led with 8. Shakir is a victim of the success of the others... you can't stop throwing to dudes just to get Shakir the ball if they are producing. This thread is a joke... -

There was no elbow injury in the second half of the Green Bay game or the time in the Jets game where he threw the ball right to Sauce Gardner as well... some here forgot those convenient facts. -

SO... We beat the Ravens, Titans and Chiefs, all teams who could claim the #1 seed. We still have FOUR divisional games, THREE at home, against the Cheatriots, Jests and Dullphins. We have lost three games to teams with winning records only. In what universe do you see the Bills not having a shot at the #1 when the very real possibility of us cementing the AFC East is at hand and a favorable schedule late? -
Brandon Staley refuses to eat turkey for Thanksgiving, and eats CAULIFLOWER for Thanksgiving instead. That doesn't sound smart to me! Gobble gobble gobble LOL

So you are seeking perfection... got it. News flash... no head coach is perfect. You dog on McDermott as if he isn't the answer and so then I must ask you... WHO IS the answer for this team as a head coach? You offer criticism but I have yet to read one solution for the issue you have. Your take on the "Super Bowl years" is also abysmal... "ballyhoo" and "bravado"? They went to FOUR STRAIGHT SUPER BOWLS, something that has never been done nor will probably ever be done again. They won four straight AFC championships. There are a lot of other teams out there like the Lions, Browns, Jets and Chargers who haven't won a championship in 50 years or more, but yet what the 1990-1993 Bills teams did is to be derided? I don't care how old you are... you may be 10 years older than me give or take a couple of years. but your attitude is poor and I honestly think you must be Jerry Sullivan.
-
It's not necessary to merge this... let the poster experience the embarrassment that comes with a post like this.
-
Add ArtVandalay to the list for saying Andy Reid and Doug Pederson are the same quality HC because they each won one Super Bowl.
-
The fact that you don't recognize the greatness of Andy Reid only cements my point even further... you seem to think winning Super Bowls in the NFL is a goddamn breeze. Don Shula won two back to back and never won anything after for the next 20+ years WITH Marino so yeah, GTHO
-
Lol you do realize that Pederson, who coached that Super Bowl win, was fired, right? Thanks for proving my point for me there, guy.
-
Yup... same people are always blaming the coaches for everything. McDermott is the right coach for this team 100%... Andy Reid eventually left Philly a bum who couldn't win big games and now he's a genius. I'll be damned if I want the same to happen to McDermott.

AND he played in the USFL (or any other pro league) to start his career, unlike any other BYU QB before or since. There has never been a BYU QB to complete over 60% of their passes in their career in the NFL outside of Steve Young, which is pretty sad.
