  1. One thing about Belicheat and staff is that they are very good situationally, I really hate to admit. But they have shown in the past that they will push the envelope (borderline cheating) if need be to win. He knows that Brady won't be around much longer and the clocks ticking...he getting desperate! I'll blame the league if they don't address this type of thing this week. At the least if an ineligible player is in the game, especially in cases like this, they should allow the defense to get set accordingly. Past practice has shown with the hurry up type or unconventional offenses for the sake of competition the defense is allowed the opportunity to adjust. Kudos to the cheaters, they got away with it this time and were able to advance. Belicheat has once again provided further proof that he's void of any moral fortitude and for Tammy Brady to rub it in with that comment, goes to show the respect they have for the spirit of competition. The Pats axiom should read when you can't beat them, cheat them!
  2. This is very good....I actually laughed out loud !!!
  3. I have to say, there may be something to this...It's the only way to explain these head scratchers, IMO. That last game against NE, how does Sammy not get more targets or at the least scheme some calls to get him to 1k receiving! That would have been something to build upon going into the off-season for the rookie. I hate to speculate but having Sammy reach this goal may have taken the spotlight off the 9 win season and saint Doug. Also, Goodwin from 35 catches (2013) -----> 1 catch (2014)...makes NO sense at all. Trouble with the redzone offense and nothing for a proven redzone talent (M. Williams)...smh! Marrone was up to something, I'm convinced !!!
  4. The answer to your question is simply, NO. Jerry Sullivan is an IDIOT!!!
  5. I was watching SC...man! that was a great tribute to my man, Stu. Rich Eisen piece is also legendary, IMO. RIP Stuart Scott!
  6. Any new stadium and design for a downtown stadium would have to include the redesigning of the roadways...the city has been trying to include this with any new development idea. It was the major reason why the cost of the now defunct Bass Pro deal was so expensive. Indoor Stadium something like the one in Indy...count my tax dollars in!
  7. You can add Cowher as well to my, NOT a fan wishlist...I'll pass! I'd much prefer someone ahead of the curve that will add ingenuity ala the first intro of the west coast offense, K-Gun etc...just think out of the box! Oh! Someone who can identify & develop a QB...think someone like Holmgren, Reid, McCarthy etc. Go Bills!!!
  8. Not quite sure how much you can depend on him returning. Here's an excerpt after he was put on IR- Orchard Park, N.Y. — Buffalo Bills guard Chris Williams has seen his back injury take a turn for the worse. The Bills placed Williams on injured reserve Saturday after he missed the last two games with a back injury and has already been ruled out for the team's Week 6 game against the Patriots. Bills coach Doug Marrone has expressed his concern for Williams' back injury because of the nature of the injury. In Williams' absence, rookie fifth-round pick Cyril Richardson has been starting at left guard. I would like to see the Bills pick up a FA OL starter or two and let them battle it out with Cyrus & Cyril plus a draft pick (A J Cann). Field the best 5 after the dust settles, IMO.
  9. When I heard that this morning I "literally laughed out loud"...Man, these guys on WGR are literally stealing money. And he's the "trained eye" expert...SMH!
  10. I truly understand the fanbase desire for a franchise QB but the FO has tried to fill this position. In the last two years they have, in addition to what's on hand, brought in Kolb, Leinart, Palmer, Young, Lewis & Flynn. Not all QB's have to be blue-chippers to make it in the league, what about coaching and development? At what point is this a matter of a coaching staff unable to fit a scheme around the talent base? When GB traded for an unknown in (Holmgern) B. Farve & Holmgern again in Seattle w/ Hassleback, Philly-Chip Kelly with Foles, Houston (Kubiac) w/ M. Schaub...this staff doesn't seem to have the expertise or flexibility (scheme wise) to use the talent on hand. IMO, every team is searching for a franchise QB and rarely will one become available through other means, you have to have the staff that identifies the skill set required to make your offense function. First, we need an offensive identity (what is it?) then a quality staff to identify the necessary skill set (so the GM can go acquire) and development (we hired a QB coach & the QB's have regressed). The Bills are trying they just have to keep swinging, IMO. But we need a coaching staff to identify what's needed at the position to move forward.
  11. Huh? How can you say this? They signed Chris Williams- G (free agent) and drafted 3- OL this past off season. The trend is most young players improve in their second year...let's hope & pray. The bigger question is, is it the student or the teacher, IMO. Marrone and staff has done nothing to show that they have a clue as to how to scheme an NFL offense. There's a flaw or key in the scheme that's tipping the opposing defense. I've never seen a defense so ready for our screens, misdirections or play actions plays. I think its time to go back to the drawing board Team Marrone & Co.
  12. I just don't see this happening...doesn't seem like the owners personality. I agree hiring Polian is definitely the type of move that the owner would do but we have to be careful... Bill will try to infuse his son in the picture ala his tenure with Colts. I think sound ownership would be to let this play out one more year after hiring the consultant (Polian) to evaluate the football operations. Then set the plan in motion including creating a management team merging the two franchises defining the One Buffalo theme. Russ will be assigned to marketing, Ted Black will remain President of operations & new stadium ventures and Kim Pegula will remain in her existing role.
  13. My sentiments exactly...plus at what point does the question of using the talent at hand to their effectiveness? Also, how does a supposed "offensive" mind coach cook up a scheme to use CJ as a power back when his skill set is better suited in space or stretch type approach? What makes it worse is that you have a former OL as HC and he's unable to identify the skill set necessary to execute his power approach or a screenplay nonetheless, smh. To be quite honest with you, I really don't think they have a clue. Hackett called a decent game in Denver so I'm not sure who's to blame...is Marrone holding him back or have they both reached their ceiling? What's obvious is that they're not very creative or intune as to how to scheme an offense to exploit a defense's mismatch, IMO.
  14. All this amounts to a hill of beans once the whistle blows and the pads starts popping...GO Bills!
  15. Thank you!!! Just think Orton showed promise the first 3 wks all of a sudden he has regressed over the last 3...the coaching philosophy is NOT NFL ready!!! Go back to the Pinstripe Bowl Mutt & Jeff...they will be better coaching on their next stint in college, err high school!!! Turrible (Charles Barkley voice)!!!
  16. Thank you for making this point. My issue with the scheme is that the offense doesn't appear to dictate to the defense. Hackett's offense waits to get the look it wants to attack instead of scheming different sets & formations to make the opponent adjust into the mismatch that he wants to see, ie. Reid, Payton, etc... I truly understand the importance of a ground game but show some movement & creativity...they finally incorporated a WAM block last game for #38's TD (Brilliant!). Every team has the same play but timings everything. Just look back on the year Sean Payton was suspended, same players, same plays but the interim coach didn't have a feel for the game or when to pull the trigger...that's what I sense about Hackett. I'm really hoping that I'm wrong.
  17. I'm not sure if he's the fall guy or NOT, Marrone may be hampering him because it defies logic. They continue to run the same basic sets & formations like its still pre-season...absolutely no creativity. The system is designed not to create a mismatch and /or exploit the weakness of the defense's personnel. Its like he just calls plays with no regard of the matchup, IMO. Has Hackett & staff ever aligned a formation to put the opposing defense on it heels, scheme-wise? Good coordinator's scheme an offense to the talent at hand and scout out the short-comings of the opponent. I just don't get the feeling that, this is what he does...at all!!! He needed more seasoning in college as an OC because he's in way over his head, IMO.
  18. The Bills offense is offensive...that is all !
