I keep going back and forth with the Giants. On one hand you have a team that can draft one of the best RB prospects in a generation and possibly win now with Eli, Barkley, OBJ. On the other hand you have the reality that the NY freaking Giants are drafting #2 overall for the first time in how long?! This is a perfect opportunity for a winning franchise to set themselves up for the next 15 yrs and draft a blue chip QB. The giants havent drafted in the top 5 since 2004 (rivers/eli) and before that was 1996. With an aging Eli, this can be their chance to reset the franchise. Let Eli start one more season. And then start Rosen or whoever they draft at 2 in 2019. Keep in mind that the Giants have a new GM. You know that GM wants to have a sure thing at QB to replace Eli. Giants are tough to predict. I can see i go either way but the more i think of it, i can see them going QB.

Based on the price the Jets paid to move up 3 picks, the Giants are well within their right to ask for our 2 firsts and second rounder this year, and next year’s first, to move up from 12 to 2. If theyre THAT into a QB than its worth it. But if theyre split between a couple of QB’s then its not. A QB will be there at 12.

The constant belief the Giants want to move out of #2 is nauseating. Look how much the Jets just gave up to move a few spots. We control nothing at this point other than the #12 pick. we call the Giants and theyre going to want both our 1st round picks. Our 2nd round pick. And probably our 1st round pick next year. You do realize that just bc our guy is there at #2 doesnt mean that the Giants are going to trade with us right? People seem to think Beane controls his owm destiny - he doesnt. As of right now, the Jets are 100% in a better position than us to get their guy.
