2016 Sports Illustrated article on Josh Rosen
bobobonators replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Two AFC “executives”: Rosen: “He’s the one I know the best—he’s got size, athletic tools, velocity. He’s just a mess off the field and he’s coming off the injury. He needs to grow up, but the talent is off the charts.” “The kid from USC has a chance; Rosen has a ton of ability but tons of issues, like dedication to work...” who knows, but where there is smoke.. -
Gil Brandt: Best Fits for the Top Free Agents

No thanks. Use a boatload of money to blow Cousins away. Use the draft picks and journeymen FA to build the roster. -
Bills to explore trade market for tyrod
bobobonators replied to The juice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If he takes a pay cut. Keep him. Draft a QB or sign another veteran. If not, trade him or cut him. Based on the hatred for the guy by many Bills fans, id rather cut him so i dont have to hear the constant drivel anymore. -

Bills hire another Alabama staffer

Winning program; at least he brings that to the table. -
But they would rather join a 5-11 Broncos squad who are lightyears removed from their SB run? The entire coaching staff and QB are gone from that SB team. The Jets? The Dolphins? The Cardinals? The Bills are arguably the most stable of all those options. We have a decent amount of cap room. We have a buttload of picks. We have a GM and HC that made the playoffs in their first season.
-
I get he’s got a choice but we’ll know before the draft. Money talks. Make it happen.
-
No they cant and no they wont. Private banks are commonly utilized (public banks like BofA have private banking arms that deal only with high-end clients). Ultimately, diversification is key when dealing with that amount of money.
-
Why not just sign Cousins, who has put up ridiculous numbers already in the NFL, and use those draft picks to build the team. This way we arent mortgaging the next 5 yrs to find out if Darnold is good. A trade like that would set this franchise back 5-10 yrs if Darnold stinks.

Jimmy G - Signs with 49ers - NFL's highest paid player

Where are all the experts here that laughed at how much Cousins would be wanting. “Hes not worth it”. Right. Worth is a relative term. -
Now it begins. Buffalo and Offense.
bobobonators replied to RalphWilson'sNewWar's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that’s part of the problem. There are countless Sunday posts where people state they won’t be watching any football outside of the Bills bc the “NFL sucks”. Kinda hard to have a valuable, objective opinion when you don’t watch the game enough. -
I guess anything is possible. I didnt get the hype while at ND and he was horrible last year; granted it’s Cleveland. But Cleveland does have a little talent on offense around him and an offensive mind as HC. it would be a ballsy move to go with Kizer and Peterman. We would need more competition than that, as you mentioned.
-
What the hell am i missing here. Kizer to start? And some of you would be OK with this? The same 11TD 22INT, 50% comp Kizer? That Kizer? Starting? W. T. F.

“Tyrod Sucks”. But he made pro bowls and you want a 2nd round pick for him. TBD logic here.

Andrew Luck to Bills speculation/chatter
bobobonators replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While i cant see this going down, McDaniels and Irsay have the #3 pick. They have their choice of pretty much any QB in this draft since I dont see the Giants taking a QB at 2. For Luck we would have to give up our 2 first round picks and probably another 2nd round pick or so. That would give McDaniels a boatload of equity to start his career at Indy. I just dont see it though. Why not just keep our picks and throw money at Cousins. Thats what i would do. -
What did you learn from the Smith Trade?

Hes an idiot. And Gruden sucks. Bad combo. Really bad. -

Or washington knew that Cousins wasnt going to resign with them, was unhappy in Washington, and wanted out. Why franchise him one last time at 33?million when you know hes unhappy and will 100% be gone the following year. The opportunity was there to get Alex so they took it. Cousins doesnt want to be there now. The skins had their chance to extend him a couple of years ago but didnt believe in him then and it became a fiasco. From day one Cousins has sorta been slighted by Washington. The skins drafted RGIII the same year and Cousins became an afterthought. Then it turns out Cousins was the guy they shouldve been focusing on. When he finally started for the skins he put up crazy numbers but the Skins still wanted to see more. Cousins bet on himself and he won. The Skins dragged their feet and are going to suffer in the long run for this. But all of this is irrelevant bc the main problem with the redskins is that their HC is extremely subpar and doesnt come close to being as good as Andy Reid. Alex Smith in Wash under Gruden is going to be an epic failure. -
The entire point of this thread is Plan C. Meaning we dont land Cousins or an Alex Smith. And the better QB’s in this draft are all gone by the time we pick, leaving us a draft pick at QB that will be raw and may not be ready. At which point you acknowledge going 3-13 is somehow better than staying with TT and going anywhere between 7-9 to 10-6. I dont see the logic in that but I get youre done with TT. Many people are.
-
But going 3-13 and watching a rookie QB that is clearly not yet ready throw 3INT every game wont hinder anything at all. Im in favor of moving on from TT but the original poster brings up a good point.

[Vague Title]Colts And Bills
bobobonators replied to Paul Costa's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They do have a good draft spot but he would still be responsible for having to deal with the Eli situation. He would be taking a job which would automatically have a controversy at the QB position with the debate of keeping the aging Eli, drafting a QB, and cutting Eli, or keeping Eli, drafting a QB and then answering QB questions for the next 2 seasons after every press conference. The Lions have their QB and they're in a division that might be easier to win in the coming years. That's just how I view it. Who knows, he probably just clicked better with the Detroit Lions ownership/management team. -

yup With an aging QB in Eli, Patricia will also have to be the coach that is remembered for cutting the 2-time SB MVP QB. I would want nothing to do with that responsibility and scrutiny from the NY media. -

To me it's a no-brainer. The Detroit Lions are in a division where only 1 team appears to be a serious contender year in/year out - the Green Bay Packers. And that will only last a couple of more years with Aaron Rodgers. The NFC East has Wentz in Philly and Zeek/Dak in Dallas, and they all just entered the league. If I'm a coach, I don't want to have to compete vs that 4 games every season.
