It’s a no-brainer discussion for probably all teams in the NFL in my opinion. Defensive players of the year havent been traded too often in NFL history.

How so? Let’s say as a crazy hypothetical the Raiders want Hughes and next year’s first round pick for Mack. The book on Allen won’t be closed next season, or the season after. The earliest we take a QB in the 1st rd again will be in 2020 - the absolute earliest. Allen is going to get more than one season to prove himself, as he should. Now, it the raiders are looking for 2 first round picks then yes, that’s absurd. But 1 first round for Mack isn’t going to make or break this franchise. Mack is an all-pro. Allen falling flat on his face will hurt this franchise. But if he does, we’ll have a pick in 2020 to draft his replacement.
