Any uniform that doesn't have blue pants or the standing buffalo. The only thing missing from the standing buffalo is a scope target, boring. The red helmet was better than the white too.
Love the "projected" stats. Heres one, Kuechly had more tackles in his first 3 years than Edmunds has in 4, he could of spotted him a season and he had more. I would call that quite a difference. Exactly how is it unfair to compare Edmunds to a guy drafted in the same draft in a round lower? Didnt we use a 1 and the first pick in the 3rd round to get him, but its unfair to compare him to a 2nd rounder?
Had a great jump cut, was faster than he was given credit for, excellent pass catcher. Im sure every OL was glad they had 34 back there. Was just a total complete back.
As a proud member of the 3/4 club, i am actually coming back from the ledge that Edmunds is going to be extended. Seems a lot negotiations (not all), but most, stop when the season starts. So if Beane doesnt extend Edmunds before the start of week 1, then the end of the 22 season leaves the Bills 2 options, tag Edmunds or let him test FA. Im coming around to they will let him test FA unless he turns it up to 11 next year.
Feel very similar to the superbowl years. Offense can hang with anybody, 90 percent of the time. The D, just not aggressive enough. Call it mid season lack of physicality, call it coaching philosophy, but as a unit in big games, I feel way less confident in that group than I do the offense.
Always remember a Monday night game I think against the Jets, had a shot at the single game rushng record, he was just gashing them. Didnt care about the record, sat out garbage time in a Bills win.
You know, I went to profootball reference and compared him to Darius Leonard, who was drafted after him, This is what I found.
Solo tackles Leonard 343 Edmunds 293
Ast Tackles Leonard 195 Edmunds 170
QB hits Leonard 20 Edmunds 15
Tackles for Loss Leonard 30 Edmunds 26
Sacks Leonard 15.5 Edmunds 5.5
Forced Fumbles Leonard 17 Edmunds 2
Fumble recoveries Leonard 7 Edmunds goose egg 0
Interceptions Leonard 11 Edmunds 4
And Leonard has played in 3 fewer games.
I thought the exact same thing, like their jobs are the things you dont notice, like tackles, sacks, ints, pass breakups, forced fumbles. Like somehow theyre coached not to do those things, they have other responsibilities.
The blunder that stood out to me after listening to Paytons analysis and the mistake was playing "outside technique", coach speak for guarding the sidelines, it appeared McD and Frazier just didn't factor in the Chiefs had timeouts. It was the correct call if they had no timeouts, but that wasn't the case. Simple as that. The D was too deep and too wide. It was poor situational awareness. It was exactly the defense you would want to face to get into FG range with timeouts in hand.
Takes both sides of the ball to make plays, not just the offense to win against the best teams. Its always been a team game. Hill and Kelce under a hundred yards, Tyreek shutout in the 2nd half, 2ints, 4 sacks. Bengals D made plays.
