We are last in yards per carry rushing. 5.8 yards per carry allowed. Dead last in the NFL by half a yard.

When you are giving up 5.8 yards per carry rushing(dead last in the NFL), last in the NFL by half a yard(thats a big margin), combined with 3.2 yards before contact, you are not going to make teams one dimensional. Teams that out rush their opponents win 70 percent of the time.

I said it another thread, I was watching Belichick talking last year about us he said our secondary was slow. I think BB knows what he's talking about when he talks defense. I'll add Taylor Rapp ran a 4.77 at his pro day coming out of college---slow. The Schwartz numbers are even more impressive when you think about he wasn't working with a great offense and a lot of leads. A lot of sacks come when a team is trying to come from behind and needs to pass.

Well at the end of the year and if they haven't reached the SB, I guess the question to ask is has any coach/qb combo who have been together 140 games got to their first superbowl together after that? If the answer is no, then I think the decision is easy. How about a championship pre-superbowl has it ever be done after that many games? I dont know.

Its weird that everyone in the city and around the league knows we have to have something besides Josh put the cape on, yet we employ a defense that says Josh put the cape on, because we're rarely going to stop anyone. Watching the Eagles stop KC on their first 7 possessions in the SB was like, wow we could never do that. Also anyone who plays fantasy knows Mahomes wasnt exactly lighting it up last year but they won a lot of close, lower scoring games because they have a good defense. Josh doesnt have that margin for error. To make an analogy, we expect the offense to pass an organic chemistry final at a top college and hope the defense can pass a remedial high school basic math test.

This offense coordinator for Seattle should have run the ball 3 times. Bleed the clock.
