  1. Yeah, most likely they will get a top billing bowl, maybe against an LSU/Georgia/Florida. Maybe Penn State if they dont make it? Maybe a Pac12 champ Oregon? I do think that there may be 2 losses packed in the remainder of their schedule, in which may drop them from that 'tier' and they may end up dropping a tier in bowls. But its Notre Dame so they will beat Stanford last game of the season and magically land in the top 10.
  2. If you "win", you are likely getting sued, arrested, etc. Maybe someone holds a deep grudge against you If you "lose", you are likely getting arrested, hospital visit, disfigurement, killed, etc There is a small zone in the middle where you win the fight, get a trophy, your "opponent" is dazed while his friends check on him, and you walk away with the girl and a cheering crowd. But usually, that doesnt happen.
  3. The only way he doesnt is if he voluntarily leaves.
  4. They are toast for the Tournament, barring a complete destruction of like 6 of the top teams.
  5. The answer to the question is 23. However, im not sure about present day. The presence of supercomputers with high def video cameras everyone's pocket makes me want to say 18. Definitely not when you have assets
  6. The outrage is on all sides though and just creates a meaningless and pointless din. All around a couple of guys who just want to sell tacos and grow their business. Then, within a week or two everyone will forget about it and move to the next thing.
  7. This is the most ludicrous "contraversy" ever. Anyone who cares about this (on both sides) needs to step back and re-calibrate their outlook on what happens in the outside world and how it affects them.
  8. Seasons getting interesting.
  9. I have been saying this should be done for the NHL. do a 3 year rolling average, but place restrictions on how many times a team can pick 1st, 2nd, or 3rd
  10. I think it is fine. Tanking in the NFL isnt an issue IMO. How often is there really a clear cut #1 "franchise changer"? It isn't like the NHL (or NBA) where you can nab a franchise cornerstone at #1 many years. To dig as deep as the Dolphins did in order to get a #1 overall is extremely risky and counter-productive. There are 53 spots to fill. I think the Bills and McDermott hit a great balance between clearing the cap, amassing assets, yet still competing.
  11. starting to suspect someone fed Schefter this "info" with instructions to make it public. Whether its Brady, Kraft, or Belichick, not sure.... most likely Brady negotiating. Brady's non-forceful "denial" makes me skeptical.
  12. The only way it is possible, is there is some sort of weird irreconcilable rift between brady and kraft and/or belichick I dont see it happening, as kraft holds a strange god-like worship of brady.... and kraft is brady's sugar daddy post-career for getting tb12 off the ground.
  13. No way he plays for anyone else. Not in a million years. He wouldnt dare leave belichick world and diminish his legacy when he suddenly looks like a 43 year old playing for a run of the mill organization
  14. Darnold is peterman level bad this game
  15. Im shocked the jets look this poor
  16. Im not sure how the rest was, but I recall the last 6 games-ish of the 2004 schedule broke to be this easy. Right in a row, they played like 4 of the worst 5 teams in the league, followed by the Steelers with 3rd stringers. I believe Miami was really bad that season too.
  17. to be honest... this result could have been the best thing for this team. 1. In the future, if they encounter a game where they can "roll the ball out there and win", they won't believe that and will take every opponent seriously. Not saying they didnt take Miami seriously, but Im sure there was some degree of overconfidence for some % of the roster. 2. I think I like next week better that the Bills come off a close win where they were forced to execute and sweat it out. A blowout win, and we would be hearing even more hype about the Bills. A young team can talk all they want about keeping that all noise out, but human nature its impossible. This could have been their let-down game and the Philly game could be their 'rebound'.
  18. the play action counter to the weak side with a completed pass on the left side on Levi Wallace was a cheat code.
  19. Yes, thanks. Not implying that this is the beginning of 2 decades of dominance and a dozen Superbowls. But in a vacuum, that 2001 team (I meant 2001, said 2000) was a tough fundamentally sound team, not glamorous, whose defense (and ST) would find a way to turn games into wins. Tom Brady was not all that impressive, but always seemed to do just enough to win the games.
  20. The Bills kind of do remind me of the 2000 Patriots a bit.
  21. If the bills win, they will have a guaranteed 2.5 game cushion for the wild card
  22. Drop 2 regular season games. Add 2 preseason
  23. Extra bye week. Less preseason. Larger playoff field.
