The last MVP baseball was a video game classic. Always mentioned as one of the best sports games ever released. 2K made awful, awful MLB games. The Show is pretty darn good though, but people who prefer XBOX are out of luck. EA makes really good games. Their engine is good, and presentation for the most part is excellent. My biggest beef with EA is the resources put into online gameplay and micropurchases. I really dont want to or have a time for Be A Pro. I also cant get into the "Ultimate Team" modes. I dont have the time investment, and do not want to pay money just to compete..... Those things all time out in a year anyway when the next game comes out. It seems their Franchise modes and offline play has stagnated, and in some cases has regressed. NCAA had it really good. I read an article recently that was about their development team. All the attention from management would be on the pro sports and FIFA. I was going to say something like this... The Bills have not been relevant for 20-ish years. When they have had their hot starts, they have gotten press, but that is few and far between. When they stole a playoff spot in 2017, they got a lot of coverage/love. They haven't had anything real interesting to talk about. 98% of the time, they have been on the outside looking in, hoping to hang onto the 'in the hunt' graphic inclusion. They haven't even managed to get a top draft pick/QB that garners a lot of attention.

Lots of good tips I would say the #1 rule of law is to park on the side of the stadium that you are leaving. So you want the North side. Along Southwestern is best, that is what I do. When I leave, I go E/N on Southwestern to hightail it out. I have gone North on Abbot with mega-success as well. 2nd most important thing is get to your car/vehicle on the early-side Hustle to your car when you decide to leave. Last week, we watched the interception, celebration, then literally ran to our car. Was home in no time. It is really not too bad getting out of there if you are decisive about it. Where you get stuck is when you saunter to your car in the masses.... everyone is leaving the lot at once, the main road is plugged up, AND you have pedestrians constantly flowing in front of the driveway of the parking lot.

I think it would. All these sports entertainment entities fill up 168 hours a week with NFL talk. People love to hear about a potential demise of the Patriots. If a young buck Josh Allen beats them to get to 4-0..... and quite possibly remain undefeated over the next 3+ weeks after this.... we will hear plenty of that talk. I'm not saying it is necessarily accurate, but the Bills would be hyped.

EA's NCAA football game was a masterpiece IMO. I agree that it needs to come back... as well as hoops. I google news every month or so to see if there is any movement. I will say... that I believe we may be past the halfway point. We are 6 years since release. I would bet that we get a game before 2025. I feel like this student athlete issue will settle out by then and the game will quickly follow. There is money to be made.

Howard simon doesnt play for or coach the bills. He isnt "conceding" anything. He and jeremy white have said that until proven otherwise, they count both new england games as losses. I dont think that is an unreasonable stance. The Bills have won like 3 of their last 40 games against them in the past 20 years. Some of these games, especially at home, turn into an NFL version of the "Great White Hype" movie. We work ourselves up, only to get KOed in convincing fashion. White and Simon (who are just entertainers) have agreed to not fall for it. Its not like their show is dedicated to putting the bills down. They predict the bills' season on the regular and are very optimistic. I think Simon has them at 12-4 as of this week. I don't want to hear a brainless fred smerlas equivalent cheerlead into perpetuity

1987 was a huge departure from 1986 and previous. Kelly seemed to begin to assert himself and the team was competitive. 1988 was a nice surprise, and I guess they arrived... but the Bills were different than the 'run'. They did it by defense. They were good, but from what I recall, it didnt really feel like they could beat the Bengals, 49ers, or Bears that season. However, we did know that it was a young team and we had some good seasons ahead. I guess it feels like 87-88 because they are showing signs, look good, but not quite polished and in the top 3-5 teams in the league territory. They could potentially make a run like 1988. If they can beat the Pats, I think we can legitimately talk about a playoff bye as a possibility as we look at the schedule.

How can anyone get blamed for thinking this way? We all have seen this movie with the Pats vs the Bills (and vs many other teams) 100 times.

My friends and I were talking about this yesterday. Will this ever happen again? And would this game be the one that does it? If this were December and the Bills clinched the Division with a win, would fans storm the field? Is it impossible to happen in 2019?

It would get pretty crazy. They would be hyped up for sure and we would hear a lot about 'torch passing'. We all know how manageable the upcoming schedule is, and barring a let-down, the Bills could ride the wave well into October at the top of the NFL.

I can't fault anyone for having these viewpoints at this time (nor can I fault anyone for being all-in excited). The Bills have been here before in recent memory. They have been knocked down, and have completely collapsed. I realize the players, coaches, etc are different... but if you look at the games and competition so far, you can easily get to 'pump the brakes' territory. Various warning signs and trends that you cannot get away with against the NE and KCs of the world. While they were the better team in all 3 games so far, it isn't far fetched to say they could have found themselves 1-2 at this point with a little misfortune. I guess I am kind of in between. I don't think they are ready yet for the upper echelon teams... they are in the middle/upper-middle class. However, the schedule looks very favorable and 10-12 games will be there for the taking. Most likely would have an away game at Baltimore or maybe Houston, and both are winnable. This type of season would be monumental for a young team with a young QB trying to figure out how to win. Got some bucks next year to spend and we could find the Bills truly in the NFL top 5 teams for real.

I suspect that we charge up/motivate brady and belichick even more. They hate the thought of losing in buffalo. I remember how much belichick lost it at the end of the last time they lost here.

I think it is awful, especially considering that their app, the One Buffalo App, is a poorly designed and unstable disaster. Completely not ready for this sort of rollout I share seasons with someone, and when I need both tickets, it is a royal pain to transfer them to myself within this app, working in conjunction with ticketmaster.

Basically, I am expecting a loss in these games until the Bills prove otherwise. I do think it could turn into a D and ST grind, which is probably the Bills' best shot, but in which case still gives the advantage to Belichick and the Pats due to experience and detail. The Bills' ST has had some average to poor showings so far. They could get lucky with a key turnover, a Roberts punt return, etc and come out on top though. Cant run and gun against the Pats' defense to keep up if the Pats' offense is clicking and scoring with any regularity.

This reminds me a bit of the 87-88 Bills. They are getting decent.. Showing signs of joining the NFL, strong defense, offense beginning to figure it out. Not sure they have completely arrived yet the way the 88 Bills did.

Lots of people who just like to hitch on to a winning team/program. You can very likely cross-reference Notre Dame and Yankees fans and get a ton of matches. They remain independent for their $$$ TV contract, but it really allows them to cherry-pick a favorable schedule most of the time... although It does seem they have started to challenge themselves more since the 4-team playoff started, or at least the past 2-3 seasons. It always seems like the burden of proof every season is for Notre Dame to prove they are not a top-5 team... yet, they rarely beat anyone in the top 10
