Everything posted by May Day 10

  1. Quinn has hot to be done after/if they lose to the Cardinals.
  2. On the day el camino comes out
  3. His speaking was very smooth and he has what it takes. You could tell though that he was struggling a bit with the mind to mouth connection, but that is to be expected with any person stepping behind a mic.
  4. Brady is missing bad with medium passes, and even short passes to the sideline. That is a first and seems to be systemic. He did complete a lot, but many seemed to be within a couple yards of the line of scrimmage. The Giants were blitzing and they were throwing a lot of little screens. What was the average in-the-air distance of the completed passes?
  5. The "encroachment" call in the red zone made me a bit more furious to be honest.
  6. Lots of mistakes, but it seems they have made the right hire(s) in McDermott and Beane. It feels like the Bills have been pulled into relevancy for the first time in 2 decades. Sabres is to be determined. It is very nice that the black cloud, Russ Brandon has been eliminated. Cant question their desire to win and economic commitment. Security in Buffalo, most importantly is wonderful
  7. What a garbage player. Sealed his fate here with the ne game. Props on them not afraid to move on from a mistake
  8. I can see both sides, and while it sucks being locked in to a Division with a perpetual 12-14 win team, I side on the "Division winners play at home" side.
  9. I think they are.... and he looks decent enough, sometimes. But the way they talk there, he is Aaron Rogers, while Josh Allen is already exposed as a Jemarcus Russell level bust. I would argue that Darnold and Allen are both real close, showing a lot of promising signs, but nothing is certain as of yet as they still have bad games.
  10. And a huge lol at the 'best fan base' result.
  11. It is interesting from a Titans' fan perspective reading those threads there. They are bickering with one another about the reasons, but I don't know if any of them are correct. The team is bad? 1 or 2 bounces or calls yesterday and they are tied for 1st in their Division and also tied for both wild card spots with 4 winnable games coming up. With us, and many teams in the Northeast, being a fan is kind of an identity and a source of pride. We feel like we have notoriety and can effect games. It also helps whip us into a frenzy with how McDermott and the players always seem to acknowledge us. This does not exist at all in a lot of/most of the 'warm' markets. The Predators seem to have built that a bit there, although they are consistently in the Stanley Cup conversation through this stretch. Do they have trouble selling tickets without opposing fans? Or is it a Sabres' type situation where people own the tickets and see an opportunity to sell them above value to travelling fans?
  12. It seems to go in cycles. I remember there was a long period where the Bills and Chiefs played nearly every season. There was a huge Jaguars era as well.
  13. My favorite part is how they use the titans' poor seasons as an excuse for people not wanting to go.... Uh, is there another fan base who has had to sit through more irrelevance than the bills? Browns?
  14. A lot of those people are completely sold that Darnold is one of the to QBs in the league.
  15. That was a real head scratcher
  16. I feel bad for him
  17. I know they have been great and all... But would it be too much to ask this defense to produce some turnovers?
  18. That "encroachment" "penalty" was bizarre
  19. I saw someone mention last year (I think it was John Smoltz) that they should consider going to some sort of Split-Season format.
  20. To me, the best. simplest measure of a good team is Regulation Wins. To put in some perspective, they only had 21 Regulation wins all of last season, and other than the last 2 run-for-the-bus games against the only 2 teams as bad as they were, only had 6 in the 2019 portion of the schedule out of 40 games. The number of times that they outplayed an opponent for more than, say 65-70% of any given game the past few years is few and far between. We could also be witnessing the beginning of some deep cratering by the Penguins. They have neglected the draft and prospects for many years and it is going to catch up in a devastating way. This may be it. Looking forward to seeing how the Sabres come out at home Saturday.
