  1. Jacob was "absolutely humiliated," Cara Koscinski told the Post. "It was unbelievable.” Then later in the same article: Her son, who mostly laughed off the incident, will attend Wingate University in the fall on a full academic scholarship. The worst part of this is that the entire article was hardly newsworthy. The whole story is a failure.
  2. It seems that the inherent value of hard work is becoming a lost idea in our society. Too many people simply want the easy way out or feel as though they are entitled. My father-in-law recently passed away. The guy fought in the Korean War on the front lines, lifted himself out of dire poverty through a bit of education and worked he his ass off into old age. He told my wife and me both, just before he died, that life is full of blessings but it is also very hard at times. His advice was to continue to push forward no matter how hard the circumstances are. Somehow today people fail to see the worth of that kind of advice and example. Too many want to believe that we can make things easy by taking some pills and relying on the hard work or ideas of others.
  3. Classy ^^^ It’s hard to fathom why the Bills may have prompted all of this by seeking a pay cut with him. Equally as hard to fathom why he would have agreed to it, then retired, then un-retired. The whole situation is full of question marks.
  4. Yet, in some ways it feels like yesterday.
  5. You’re on to something .... kinky, as usual.....
  6. This explains a lot....
  7. For about 20 years in Buffalo that would be a guy nobody else was really interested in picking as high as the Bills did or some backup that was supposed to be a hidden diamond in the rough.
  8. It’s the offseason, we tend to cycle through the same stuff every year.
  9. At the same time, while NF, Ontario gets positive reviews they really only have a veneer. If you get much out of the immediate area of the river or Falls the rest of the city is not exactly picture perfect. Moving back to the NYS side, the fact that you have nasty chemical industry right along much of the riverfront into the downtown area is another huge negagtive from a look, livability and “feel” perspective. It’s really too bad that many decades ago that somebody did not have the foresight to think that a green space along the riverfront all the way to the lake would have been a huge positive. Then imagine a nice housing base along that greenway. The early planners did not do any of this as in their era the thinking was very different. Now the city lives the legacy of that situation. If the city was not such a **** hole I would love to think that I could live near the Falls.
  10. If you really think about it, all of the GM and coaching choices since Polian and Levy have been wiffs. You can maybe cut Wade Phillips some slack in the string but the rest have been busts. If you do not get these two positions and the QB right you end up in the trash heap of bad to mediocre football teams.
  11. If I had to eliminate threads based on stupidity, including my own, there would be very little material here.
  12. Trading for Bledsoe should maybe get honorable mention here. You have to think that if a division rival is willing to let a QB come to you there are question marks. It was not the worst trade ever but one that certainly is on a list of those that did not turn out well. Drafting of Mike Williams belongs on this list also.
  13. And we’ve been living under the myth that Canadians are all very polite....
  14. Niagara Falls, NY has turned into a simple **** hole. It is really bad.
  15. Neither of you has a clue. If I was a stalker I sure a s heck would not waste my time with either of you. I woul much rather stalk a worthwhile specimen of humanity. Someone like Gugny for example.
  16. You have to squat on your high horse to do this.
  17. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000933223/article/terrell-owens-wants-to-be-the-first-active-hall-of-famer He says he wants to play again.
  18. Could have just put the kid in the washing machine.
  19. The real question is whether Allen will respond to and absorb coaching. He has all of the tools.
  20. You’re sleeping with AJ? Does His wife know? Look I know Dalton is a hero in Buffalo but to say he is a quintessential franchise QB is misleading. The fact that AJ could not unseat him suggests that that McCarron really is a possible strong backup QB. There is nothing really in his history that says he is going to take that huge leap forward in his career.
