  1. Bills got hosed by the Refs bad... I didn’t remember the 4th and short that was short by an index card... Kelly clearly had the first down. That was at least a 6 point swing. Damn officials always suck... it it was a 10 pt swing forgot about the Means runs over Bruce Smith TD
  2. I didn’t realize that. I live in Albany. Anyway I am rewatching it and realize that we were dominant most of the game. If Kelly had not throw the ill advised pick 6 shovel pass in the first qtr... that team might have gone on a run. The Jaguars stay in it long enough to grind our D down with power runs. funny side note- Jags OC -Kevin Gilbride Jags DC- Dick (Skeletor) Jauron Rob Johnson Jags Back up QB?
  3. To me the game this Saturday night has the feel of The Bills vs Jags game of 1996. A great QB at the end of his prime not able to make the necessary throws anymore. Anyone who can remember the 96 wildcard must remember the feeling of finality. Even though the Bills scraped and got back in the playoffs after 1995 a young talented Jags team came into Buffalo and just knocked them out. A 9-7 Jags team on a 5 game winning streak. Not very different than the Titans team who comes in to NE hot as well. I think it it would be fitting for The Titans to end Brady’s career so that Belichick can jump ship and ride out his coaching career in NY with the Giants. Leaving the sinking Titanic in the hands of the incompetent Josh McDaniels. Our time is now Bills fans?
  4. As well as playing against one of the better defenses in the league. Playing all there starters and motivated to get into the off season on a positive note. So you take into consideration: 1. Rust (live bullets are much different than practice). 2. Playing with 2nd string. 3. Facing the Jets starting D 4. He made some nice throws under pressure as well as some bad interceptions. The deep throw to Williams showed poise. Stepped up in the pocket with pressure coming and delivered a strike. -My only fear is how at times he doesn’t seem to “feel pressure” ie his lack of awareness on the sack/fumble.
  5. I agree but Freddie Kitchens is available ?
  6. Yesterday was basically a preseason game. Barkley threw a couple bad picks but also made a couple really nice throws. He looked like a QB who hadn’t taken a game time snap in months. He is a fine back up and he got some playing time against a top flight defense in case he is called on in the playoffs. This is good coaching by McDermott. Daboll is a mixed bag in my eyes.. he has created an innovative offensive scheme with really good blocking foundations. Unfortunately, he makes the wrong play calls about 5-7 times a game. Some of the biggest plays this year have been audibles by Josh. This makes me wonder if, like Marchibroda did with Kelly, he could give Josh more flexibility. Maybe this could be a key along with getting Duke Williams on the field. I think you will see the 3WR set against Houston will be Brown, Williams and Beasley in the slot with Dawson Knox at TE. I think it would be smart to play Yeldon and Singletary in the backfield as well but I don’t think that happens. Yeldon just presents a screen/receiving threat we have been lacking all year. I also think that some wrinkles have been saved for the tournament. We shall see!
  7. 10-5 and playoffs... it was a long drought so this feels good. Josh is excellent and don’t be surprised if the open things up in the playoffs.
  8. Are we suggesting that Daboll/Allen Employ the Darrel LaMonica strategy for the playoffs?? Hell even if he hits on 25-30 percent that’s 4-5 scores a game. That should be enough for our defense to beat anyone. Go Pass Pro with 3 WR send the all on go routes and let Allen throw it as far as he can at least 7-10 times a game. With that speed he has to connect on at least 3 a game. Josh brings back the mad bomber philosophy?
  9. In fact the pick has been awarded to the Patriots as compensation for their troubles...
  10. They are top of 10 all time. I think the 86’ Giants D was the best.
  11. I actually hope this happens because I think the Raiders with Gruden’s experience could knock KC out. This would be awesome because it would mean a trip to NE for the divisional round and perhaps a rematch of the 1991 AFC championship in Orchard Park! ?one can dream....
  12. Well of course forgetting the most important statistical category.... Wins and Losses?
  13. Would you say that Jim Kelly and John Elway were not emotional players? Dan Marino and Joe Montana were very even but I think fire can be a good thing if properly harnessed.
  14. Came here to post this ^ . Glad someone beat me to it. Allen is the real deal the haters need to stop or just go away. The kid is not inaccurate and he will be great! I rarely speak in definitives but this one I am sure about.
  15. Sad day, I remember it so well. Who would have thought that it would take this long to find the next franchise QB.
  16. Well I will say if we get the 3rd shot that is the NFL charm 9 out of 10 times. Rarely does one good team beat another good team 3 times in the same season. Perhaps this loss was a blessing heading into Foxborough for the AFC championship... just sayin’
  17. Well I completely agree last week was an awful game I would argue Jim Kelly had many games like Allen did last week throughout his career. Great defense make even great QB’s look bad. Fact!
  18. Or perhaps the 9-3 record indicates that the coaching philosophy is actually ahead of the curve as the league trends back toward defense and running the football. It would seem the replay review of pass interference has lead to allowing defense backs to play more again. This is making things tough on some of the leagues perceived great QB’s. I watched it dismantle Tommy Boy last night. His style of QBing is based on the flag football the NFL has been promoting for DB’s. When DB’s are allowed to play he struggles. IMHO
  19. Bill O’Brien > Josh McDaniels Beantown loves the Irish though
