  1. From where I stand The Bills really look like the best team in the AFC east... just sayin
  2. Brady’s timing is off and his arm looks depleted...
  3. Brady may not survive this game... imagine if Watt wasn’t hurt?
  4. Does Edelman juice right before the games? You think?
  5. Watson is the QB who scares me most right now. More than Mahomes and Lamar combined. Watson is making lightning quick reads and adjustments. I think he is the one the Media should be talking about.
  6. After watching today’s game I stand by my statements even more. Lamar is an exceptional runner he beat the niners with his feet not his arm.
  7. I never said Lamar isn’t playing lights out. He is, his play has been unprecedented. I just don’t think it is solely based on what he is doing I think it is very similar to Kaepernick success in San Fran under Roman. I see many similarities in terms of skill set and offensive system. This is also why I don’t think what he is doing is sustainable long term. 2014-15 Niners = 2019-2020 Ravens offensive system 2000’s Pats = 2019-2020 Bills offensive system Daboll>Roman long term
  8. What is funny is the Max still thinks Lamar is more accurate than Josh. He doesn’t realize that Lamar is all Greg Roman’s scheme whereas Josh created half of those good plays by audible and great reading of the defense. Lamar has had wide open receivers due to the scheme and 8 in the box. He is not more accurate than Josh. He is an exceptional running QB. However Josh is the better pocket passer and cerebral QB.
  9. The audibles and control of the offense are not only what separates him from LaMar Jackson but also what will give him longevity. A+ and dare I say early 1988 Kelly-esc
  10. I think that will all end Sunday. I fully expect San Fran to create the defensive blue print on how to dismantle Roman’s offense. It will be a bit of dramatic irony as it is the same offense that he took them to the super bowl with Kapernick? over under on at least 5 punts by Balt in the game?
  11. I actually just rewatched all of LaMar’s highlights from the Rams game. I will take back some of what I said. He makes some really nice throws. He also has some very wide open receivers. I am looking forward to the game in Buffalo in a couple weeks.
  12. I see an offensive coordinator that has created a passing game predicated on a moving pocket and easy throws. Lamar is doing a great job of throwing to wide open receivers. He is doing what he is asked to do very well. The threat of running and his ability is beating teams even with a spy. That is exceptional and it is driving defenses crazy. When a defense is able to create tight coverage and force him to stay in the pocket he will throw picks and falter. This is where Josh Allen’s superior arm talent is going to make him more successful long term. Lamar throws well to big targets and outside but the laser over the middle stuff and throwing receivers open is not happening. When the scheme is figured out Lamar will be average to good but long term longevity when forced to stay in the pocket will be an issue. I am also not sure that he is being asked to be cerebral and read/audible etc.. that is not necessary in Romans offense. A good example of a throw he can’t make is the 40 yard Touchdown pass Josh Allen made to John Brown against Miami.
  13. I would argue that Fitz had a lot to play for against us and when he is hot he can be elite. See the first 4 games in Tampa last year when he was absolutely blowing up the league. Unpopular as this sounds Fitz’s Intellect makes him a better QB against our defense. I think Frazier/McDermott are already breaking down Roman’s scheme. To me this Balt O is most similar to what he did with Kapernick in San Fran. When it was figured out it broke down never to be repaired. Much like what has happened to McVay with Goff (scheme QB) and Peterson with Wentz (scheme QB). Our O may not be producing short term the way those teams have but I really believe that Daboll is trying to teach Allen to find the solutions by reading the D. Instead of scheming gimmicks that will be short term successes. In other words we are playing the long game through player development so that Allen can stand the test of time. It will give them “short term” success. *See Roman with Kapernick in San Fran... all the way to the Super Bowl. Rinse wash repeat
  14. Watching the Dallas vs Pats game... it just makes me realize how elite Josh Allen’s arm is. Two very good QBs. Dak has a good NFL arm but Josh’s ball just has double the velocity. He fits throws in windows no one else can. Just wait because he is gonna do some crazy things!
  15. I think 12-2 Pats vs 11-3 Bills with a slim shot at a 13-3 division title.
  16. Perhaps lee smith can be inactive and Duke Williams can be activated in his place?
  17. Run the table and win the division! 13-3 all the way.
  18. I replied “other” above. I believe the worst thing about the loss was not strictly an X and O’s issue. It was simply the inability of the team to impose its will on the Browns when the opportunity was there. Many here would call it being predictably “Billsy”. To me it is typical of a good team that has not yet really discovered an identity. There are many times that a talented, desperate home team comes out fired up and blows out the Bills. Instead we weathered the storm righted the ship and by all rights if House isn’t off we would have escaped with a win. That said the 90’s Bills would have grabbed this game in the 4th quarter and stomped on Cleveland until they were lifeless. This team is missing that piece. It competes whistle to whistle but has lapses in scheme on both sides that make every game too close. I do believe some of that is conservative play calling on both sides. Daboll often outsmarts people for no reason and drives stall because the call was “tricky”. Frazier/McDermott play soft coverage at the wrong times when tight man “could” burn you but 9/10 it stops the drive. If we could be just slightly more aggressive overall we win by 10 yesterday against a very talented desperate Cleveland team who was at home with everything on the line. Josh also is still missing 4 throws a game that are difference makers. He is still improving though we need to have patience at least we are 6-3 instead of 0-9 while developing a young QB. All of the above noted the next two weeks are must win games. 8-3 going into big D will give us another opportunity to rise up and become a real threat. Perspective on the “process” is important.
  19. Kelly had his fair share of 2 or 3 pick games when he had more faith in his arm then anyone should but it helped him be great. Complete confidence in himself.
  20. I think your right... this may well be the ultimate redemption/coaching story. Frank Reich ...back against the wall coaches up the talented nephew of his friend Jim Kelly. Then in a bold coaching move inserts him in to a good offense that is now missing its leader. He catches fire and the Colts do what they were supposed to with Luck. Reich is a hero and Chad Kelly redeemed sees the error of his old ways. Then becomes a perennial pro bowler. ? NOT! I wish them all well but if it plays out like this the NFL is the WWE. Disney will have the rights etc...
