  1. This is key, he can stay in and pass block, catch the ball, and is a good runner with the ball. Bills won’t tip their hand when he is in. People comparing him to Breida have done zero work to look into McKissic’s skill set.
  2. In 2020 he got the extra snaps due to an injury to the other reserve DT. If anything this shows when he get opportunities he shines.
  3. And I think he likes playing center more.
  4. This is an overpay IF McKenzie doesn’t improve on his numbers from last year. I am guessing the front office and coaches met to discuss what his role will be. McKenzie will get his shot since Beasley won’t be on the roster most likely. My concern with McKenzie has always been durability due to extra touches.
  5. Joe Marino of LockedOn Bills did a great job on his Friday podcast of walking through how to get $38 mil in cap space. Another poster actually started a thread detailing the info. Nothing Joe did seemed outlandish or like it would put the Bills in cap hell anytime soon.
  6. I’m a Bills fan, I am ok being disappointed
  7. Second round tender for Bates not Zimmer. Bates is by far more valuable. I could see Bates get a multi-year deal, he showed was starting caliber at a position of need. Zimmer is ok, but I don’t see anyone fighting for his services after the injury.
  8. Williams is meh, which is why he will be cut or restructured. No way he stays at that cap number, playing guard, and playing at an average level. You are one of the few people I respect on here when it comes to oline takes. I played oline into college. Some people get it, others don’t. Feliciano was a great teammate but a below average talent. Bills moved past his level of play with the talent they have now.
  9. Seriously! He went from one of my favorite Bills to a guy who I knew it was best to move on from. I’m sure he will find another team and be back to a starter/rotation player. Oline depth in the league just isn’t great. The Bills have come a long way in three seasons.
  10. Not good. Didn’t like the trade idea anyways. Gage would be a nice pickup in FA.
  11. Joe hinted that Davis has a sweet tooth and has had weight issues. I am connected some dots between and unmotivated guy like Dareus turned out to be and someone not keeping weight down. When I listen to Davis and talk with guys who know the program, Davis is a high character guy. I think he can do anything asked if him, and will. Time will tell. You are right, I am a UGA fan, the team that just won the NC with epic defensive play. Dareus always struck me as a guy who was talented but never loved football. I don’t think that’s the case with Davis. You have gone on the record with your takes as well, both yours and mine are opinions. Enjoy.
  12. I agree with this approach finally. It’s time to get a guy that when the playoffs come and you need that play maker, he can step up. This D has a ton of good players and some greats, White is elite, but we haven’t had an elite Dlineman since Mario Williams.
  13. I heard that on LockedOn too. Listen to Davis during interviews and tell me what about that guys personality says he won’t do everything he is asked. Comparing him to Darrius is ignorant. Davis is a great guy, teammates love him, and he has speed, agility, and size. I can remember when those where all things you wanted from an interior dline. I respect the heck out of Joe, but think he might be wrong on this one. Like Joe said “you aren’t scouting, if you don’t miss on a player e v a l.”.
  14. Of the two, Wyatt is more of a Bills type DTackle. That said, I think a lot of people are going to regret not taking Davis. I don’t think the Bills will take him if he is there. Not sure the Bills take Wyatt either, for some reason Beane doesn’t like SEC players high in the draft. White was picked before his tenure.
  15. Seems like a lot of money for a guy who the Chiefs began to manage his snap count due to injury concerns. Hill is fast but not a great route runner or great hands from what I have seen. The season he losses a step is when his production stops and never comes back.
  16. What about Berrios excites you? From my understanding from listening to some Jets guys is he had three good games. Berrios’ name has gotten some buzz and he might get Beasley money without proving he can produce consistently like Beasley.
  17. Last year Sanders took a ton of snaps from Davis. When Davis gets time on the field he makes plays. I am not sure why but the player who popped into my head was John Taylor for the 49ers as a comparison. Taylor had the type of career i can see Davis having, if you adjust for how the game has changed now regarding passing to when Taylor played in the 80’s.
  18. Who said low ball offer?! I laugh at people who read something and interpret it with their beliefs and not for the face value it was written. Fair Market Value.
  19. I wouldn’t mind playing a game there, just not as the home team. Keep building the brand.
  20. Pay him this off-season, his price is only going to go up.
  21. If you go back and look at his time in Carolina as DC, when he had elite players on the line they played 70%+ of the snaps.
  22. The only “highlight” for me was his sack in the playoff game against NE. The D played good early and I thought Star’s play had something to do with that, but he didn’t make any big plays himself.
  23. This is an interesting name. I think Gesicki would check a few boxes. First he could be a flex slot option. While his blocking isn’t great, I think he could do a decent job against DB’s, taking the Kumerow spot. Then he is good insurance for TE. Lastly, with the reports that Dorsey has used 2 TE’s a good bit in his past, this might in name only, accomplish that. It would provide a nice wrinkly to the offense without trying to reinvent the whole system.
  24. Agreed on the IOL being addressed with Bates and a draft pick in the first 3 rounds. Boettger or another similar type vet as a backup and another late round draft pick. Beane will bring guys in to compete, but I don’t see anyone getting anything close to $7mil a season who isn’t already on the roster.
