Joe Haden… I think he’s our guy at CB2
atlbillsfan1975 replied to GolfandBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
In the draft right after their Super Bowl, the Panthers drafted 3 corner backs (2nd, 3rd, 5th rounds). I will not be surprised if Beane and McDermott don’t sign a vet and take a similar approach this draft. -

I won’t be surprised when Beasley ends up there. -
OT: The sudden existential crisis in New England

Yep, they have already started with the “we got six rings”. The present and future looks bleak for them. -
Von Miller $17.5M Compared To Past Bills Pass Rushers
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Settle and Jones have already proven they are NFL legitimate players. Jones isn’t a pass rusher he is your prototypical run stuffing DT. He may tie some guys up but he won’t get a ton a pressure. Settle, Phillips, and Oliver can get after the QB for the DT position. I agree we need the young DE’s to take a step forward, and I think they will be given every opportunity to, that’s why Hughes and Addison weren’t brought back. Von Miller has historically played 80% of the snaps, I bet the rotation the Bills implement will help his longevity and effectiveness. There will probably be a bit of a gelling period in the beginning, but I expect the young guys to fall in line behind Von’s example of how to practice and prepare. The dline went from a big question to a much smaller one, if at all. Lawson is really an insurance piece. -
A poor man's Patterson (Laviska Shenault Jr.)
atlbillsfan1975 replied to filthymcnasty08's topic in The Stadium Wall
Considering Shenault’s stats and Davis’ stats are almost identical with Davis having over twice as many TD’s, maybe a 5th? -
I know you are kidding to some degree, but think we see them double up on IOL and WR in the draft. I agree CB and WR will be the first two picks most likely.

OT: The sudden existential crisis in New England

Seriously. The longer Bill sticks around the more apparent it will become he wouldn’t have won a single SB w/o Brady. -
Yea, maybe it’s his first name being something I don’t hear often, but it seemed like he was a few years older than that. Definitely would be nice to find someone with his type of production a couple of rounds later in the draft. From the stats Gio’s best season was his rookie year in regards to receiving. He was a second round pick, not something I want the Bills to spend on a RB this draft. I would like Beane and the scouts to find a guy from a smaller school who could give that production. To me, running backs is one of the few positions you can take from a small school and get immediate impact. If a player can run it shows, if a player will hit the hole and go, it shows.

Why does it seem like Gio Bernard is 102 years old? I am going to now look up his actual age. Ok, he will be 31 mid season next year. He has had solid production as a receiving back. Last year with Tampa was his worst season as a pro and lowest yards per reception.

I like Bates a lot, but the fact the Pats are looking to replace Mason with him is another indication of how poorly Belichick is running that team w/o Brady there to cover up his mistakes.
-
No thanks, when you factor cost of salary and the pick the Rams will want it isn’t worth it. Bill can find immediate help at WR in the draft. Expect them to double up on picks at the position.

Bills inquired on LB Alex Singleton
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall
This sounds like a possible Matakevich replacement if the money is right. A special team player who can play backup at LB. Beane never fails to shock me, so anything is possible regarding Edmunds. -
OT: The sudden existential crisis in New England
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Look, forget trying to debate a Pats Fan. I’ve been told Belichick would take Mac Jones over Josh Allen, if that doesn’t tell you how delusional they are, nothing will. I will say I enjoyed going to the ‘85 Super Bowl and watching the Bears destroy the Pats. I hope you Pats fans keep coming on to this board. After the whipping in the Playoffs last year I think all the Pats mystique is gone. Belichick is old and will retire in 2-3 years. Brady won the Super Bowls, Bill was along for the ride. Without Brady Bill wouldn’t have won one Super Bowl. -
Help me out, what does the new defense look like?

Help me out, what does the new defense look like?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BillsFan692's topic in The Stadium Wall
Miller, Oliver, Jones, Rousseau. Epenesa, Phillips, Settle, Basham. Still waiting on Settle and Phillips to officially sign, think the delay is due to money moving around. Beane doesn’t want to push a penny down the line he doesn’t need too. -
Breaking: Von Miller to bills, 6 year , 120 million
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
You really need to understand the way the contract is structured. It isn’t a 6 year $120 mil guaranteed contract. You actually are proving the point it is a very good deal. -

Levi Wallace gone to the Steelers on 2-year deal
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Seems to me if Wallace isn’t good at $8 mil a year, he still isn’t good at $4 mil a year. McD knows CB’s and saw that Wallace reached his ceiling. McD also saw White get hurt and knows they need to start planning for when White’s next deal is up. This means drafting a CB high and then paying him the money and letting White walk in 4 years. -
DT DaQuan Jones to Buffalo, $3.58M cap this year
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Definitely wait to see the full breakdown of the numbers before reacting. Since we aren’t seeing anything yet regarding Saffold’s deal, do you think it means it’s a team friendly one? Wouldn’t an agent put a big one year number out there? -
Bills are getting better on the interior dline and Pats are getting worse. Not sure how this is going to help a run heavy team with an average QB. I am sure some of our resident Pat fans will explain this to me.

McDermott’s plan for a pass rush IMO
atlbillsfan1975 replied to streetkings01's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is when the model breaks down. Not having that one guy who can make that one play when you need it is missing from the dline. Oliver has shown flashes but needs another guy. Maybe One of our early picks can be that guy, but I’d love a Chandler Jones who can turn it on in a “must have situation “. -
This trade was made because Brady agreed to mention NE next time he retires.

atlbillsfan1975 replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
For things this says- The fact they wouldn’t pay $4 mil a season says a lot to me about how Beane and McD value Wallace’s services. Think how much better Poyer and Hyde will look with another good CB playing CB2. Dane Jackson showed he can be as good as Wallace.
