Edmunds & Milano = Our Kuechly & Davis
atlbillsfan1975 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see from the thread you feel they are interchangeable. I personally don’t see Milano playing the same type of backer as Davis. You are right he will be listed as the same but they seem very different . Time will tell if Milano can play the same spot at the same level. Did Milano play that spot because it was a need or his natural fit? Davis seems to be a much more physical linebacker than Milano. -

Thomas Davis is/was an amazing player and person. Looking pass the fact Milano plays a different position that Davis, we can hope he is thought of the same way in 15 years from now. -
Who was better when they arrived in Buffalo
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Buffalo716's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just looked it up. Taylor’s best year before come to Buffalo was 2012. He didn’t start a game but appeared in 7. Taylor went 17-29 for 179 yards and had 0 touchdowns and 1 interception. I willl take what McCarron is bringing over that everyday. There where ‘rumors’ that Denver wanted Taylor. And I am sure Baltimore would’ve liked to have him back on a vet min. Contract. -

Jeesh, lay off. Maybe this poster is a new fan or very young, or whatever. We are Bills fans and the greatest fans, why? Because we all love the Bills and cheer them on threw it all. We need our numbers to grow. Let’s practice what we preach. Acceptance. -

Fair enough. What about a win in the NFL as a starter for Taylor? What about any real quality NFL experience, starting a regular season game for Taylor? Honest questions. -

Really? I’m not recalling that. I will take your word for it. Did Taylor have a win in the NFL of a National Championship in college before signing with Buffalo? -

I am assuming the poll is asking who came to the Bills with a better resume. McCarron wins that hands down. -
Beane & McDermott #1?

Right now what we can say is they share a vision and are working hard to make it reality. They seem to work well together. They have brought in a bunch of needed talent and exiled those that weren’t buying in or performing. They now need to coach up what they have and get a little luck on the injury front. -
CBS Sports: Darnold v. Allen, Rookie Matchup to Watch
atlbillsfan1975 replied to boater's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It just dawned on me that in 1983 every now AFC east team took a QB in the first round that year. And of the 6 picked all were from AFC teams. In fact I just went back and technically all 5 AFC East Teams In 83 picked a QB, the Colts later traded Elway. -
It was a decisive move made by the Bills to move forward, frankly for them and Taylor. Bills received a third round pick, which they used to get one of the best LB’s in the draft. There will be no locker room issue with Taylor vs Allen. The Bills won games last year with mediocre QB play. I am not expecting a drastic improvement this year over last year from the offense. I am expecting to see a QB who will display flashes of being a good QB in this league when he gets starts.
-
Look Taylor was what he was. Bills got the max out of him and it was just enough to make the playoffs and not enough to win a playoff game. Time to move on. I am not underselling Tyrod just being factual. After this much time in the league and as a starter Tyrod is what he is. Allen has potential not yet understood. That potential might be what the Bills have been needing for years. I am going to think it is because that what I choose to believe. You can choose to believe it won’t happen.

Good to know about the OP. anyone watching Allen can see he is already better than Tyrod at reading a defense. Allen also throws to players being open not waiting till open, another wonderful Tyrod trait we have been subjected too. Allen will need time to develop, but he is already a better quarterback than Tyrod is and Tyrod has maxed out his talents.

Why the Allen project may be different
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Batman1876's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People who want to point out all Allen’s flaws and say he is a project need to remind themselves of some of the great quarterbacks and how they improved. Every great quarterback had some years that were better than others. Allen is going to be special. High wonderlic score, best physical attributes, and shows capability to receive coaching. That doesn’t mean he will be in Canton but I also don’t see him as a bust barring injuries. -
Shane Ray a possibility for 2019?

Long time between now and then. I agree this team is starting to come together to the point where on D they maybe a few players away from elite.
