What is the record for most red zone attempts without an int?
DrPJax replied to Batman1876's topic in The Stadium Wall
He has thrown some that should have been picked. I think the main reason is defensive guys with poor hands probably are not used to the velocity he throws with. Even Bills receivers had to adjust to that! So high velocity , ball-gets in you quickly in tight windows so harder to catch it and it’s an area he is less likely to get blindsided and just throw the ball up. Also shorter , quicker hitting routes so ball in the air less time for bad things to happen. Still think main thing is his velocity. -

Moss may have been a bruiser in college , but #o far in his career in the NFL , he is the one getting bruised. He is not a huge , bruising Or fast back that strikes fear in NFL caliber players. He was out last year with injuries a few games , got benched for some reason the first game of the season which actually is hard to believe, and now is in the concussion protocol so obviously he was the guy who made the wrong business decision when it came to being hit on that play. He has 3-4 ok runs a game but can’t be counted on for short yardage so far. His best work has been in the screen game where he is dependable but he is not going to break away and be any consistent explosive play threat. The backs are one area where Beane has not done well. He has under valued them because of Dabolls dependence on the passing game . Mcd was not happy about the 9 carry running game in Jax and said that effort wouldn’t do as you at least have to make the d concerned about the run game. He mentioned or responded to a reporter saying this was the second time this type of low attempt execution happened and he said it was not acceptable. Sounds like he was in the middle of communicating things to his staff when he had to break for the presser, and he was going back right after to continue getting his thoughts across ( paraphrase). As he said, we can’t ignore the stones in our shoes and he was addressing the issues that need to be fixed relatively quickly. Reading between the lines, he was not going to accept the same type of game planning / play calling relying so much on Josh throwing. I would bet Daboll won’t be so inflexible about running facing the Jets. Moss may be out depending on the concussion protocol, and it would be a good time to try Williams. I hope Beane rethinks his satisfaction level with our backs. They don’t exactly scare people running in open space., and regardless of the o line, this is the second year watching other teams backs look more effective in short yardage and in the red zone than moss or singletary. After seeing Baltimore and even Tennessee replace their starters and still win or be competitive, it’s hard to believe we can’t find someone to challenge the 2.2 yard / carry our backs produced yesterday. It’s hard to find or replace interior lineman now , but our backs have a role in our lackluster run game as well. Why not kick the tires on someone, because if we sit still this years SB window appears to be slowly closing. ( the Steelers are making a comeback and how good is Harris helping revive Ben’s year and that offense ? Evidence that it’s worth using higher picks on quality backs)

True. Really poor play calling and play design. No creativity. No misdirection. No jet sweeps. Nothing but very vanilla , predictable patterns we have seen the past month , so you know Jax had plenty of film and showed they were well prepared. Josh certainly had a terrible game with poor decisions, reverting to the hero ball stuff (almost always refusing to hand the ball off on rpos and the jags were waiting for him !). Bill Cower even said it’s up to Daboll to reign Josh in by better play calling ( get away from the rpos) , and he said it’s imperative for the Bills to develop a run game as you can’t enter the playoffs as a one dimensional team. This type of game plan is going no where fast. Question is can Mcd exert some authority with Daboll, during his presser Mcd said 9 Carrie’s for 22 yards by the backs is not enough. Now will he do something about it !? With this line Daboll better get creative or this season will go downhill fast. The pats are a tough D , hard running team and now they are only 1/2 game back. Suddenly we are not the powerhouse everyone was making us out to be. The colts , pats , saints, Bucs are all built with good running games and I think we will have trouble with them. Josh needs help , he needs support from a running game because without it he reverts to hero ball and we see where that ends up. If I’m mcd , I bring up a back like Williams or I start looking at practice squads to grab a back that can run hard and help overcome the line issues. Our backs can’t overcome the line issues. Can’t just sit still or you;will get same results that we actually saw in last years afc championship game where the run blocking was terrible ( Williams looked terrible in that game and so did other lineman yet we just stuck with them as we failed in FA to get any help). Mcd had a poor game today. , crazy decisions like not trying a punt return at the end of the game,,,,, pretty unlikely to block a punt when they know you’re coming as opposed to getting a return as mckenzie at least has shown he can make it happen ! I’m keeping expectations low for now.

This day needs to be our "We're on to Cincinnati moment"
DrPJax replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
Singletary is no person to count on to build a good screen game around. First of all he has had several bad drops on screens In past games. He is so worried about catching and securing the ball now ( because of his fumble issues ) , that he catches the ball almost always as he is stationary. He is not already running so his YAC suffers. He also is now so worried about fumbling that he is carrying the ball with two hands and this slows a back who lacks burst and takes a few steps to build up to speed. Singeltary is what he is now. He is undersized , doesn’t break tackles well, isn’t being used at all in the red zone , and is only touching the ball 15 or less times every game. He was a 3 rd round talent for a reason. Our backs are what they are , very average , and they never seem to get hard yards when you really need them to. This is going back to both Mcd and Beane Refusing to draft a quality back when they had a chance but kept doubling down on drafting d lineman, whom at least a couple end up inactive every week. We have no ability to run the ball which is a reflection of the o line and average backs AND the unwillingness of the coach to try new personel. Why bring in breida when you never activate him ? Why keep any other RBS on the practice squad when again the staff won’t try replacing moss or singletary when they are almost adding nothing to our offense , and why does he keep ignoring the need to have a run game.? Pretty disappointing 4 weeks with loss to Titans and now this loss after shakey game against the fins. Screen game , misdirection would be good things but with this o line , sub par backs , and for some reason Dabols inability to have a creative game plan or adjust in game , that seems like a distant hope. If Dabol interviews for a head coaching Jin next year they will probably ask him to explain what happened in week 9 where they only scored 6 points ! Something is not right with Mcd and daboll in terms of a head coach allowing an OC to only call 7-10 runs in an entire game ! Let it sink In , Mcd just lost to a ROOKIE HEAD COACH STARTING A ROOKIE QB who had only 1 win! Doesn’t sound like a SB bound coaching staff or for reference , something. That happens to a good coach like belicheck as an example. Mcd needs to do some self reflection, and let’s see if he can get thru to the OC about screens etc. This was a very bad loss, team is currently playing with no passion (Hyde admitted they weren’t “ ready”), and maybe it s time to let them loose a little and come with some passion as opposed to not getting too high or too low. Now they keep coming out with no urgent sense of each game. Btw our backs had 9 carries and averaged 2.7 or less yards per carry! Wow. I will say tho injuries are mounting and i even posted about how we couldn’t take the jag lightly ( I live down here and. Have seen the bills lose before here plus jags ended Kelly’s career in one playoff loss )@nd was worried all the o line shifts were concerning. Can’t. Just keep going further down the roster and expect it not to hurt. Then throw in Beasley hurting , losing our nickel cb, losing moss, Knox being out , white getting hurt ( tasker mentioned he had a concussion which is new to me ?) and you eventually can’t have enough quality guys on the field. Well , will see as in presser Mcd noted 9 carries for 22 yards by the backs and said that not enough. Will he reign in daboll is the real issue now. Mcd looked pretty exhausted and emotionless; feel bad for him but it’s up to him and his culture to not allow this to continue ! -
I understand your points. What 6 th round pick from this years draft is doing anything on our roster THIS YEAR ? Ingram is not top tier elite RIGHT NOW, BUT WAS BEFORE AND CAN FLASH AT TIMES , but neither is the guy from Denver that was put as a complimentary piece for Donald. However, Ingram was good enough to help contribute to us losing to Pittsburgh and he can be a complimentary piece to someone like jones and ford in KC. Watch and see. You can always possibly do something to get a 6 th round pick back before the next year. When your roster is going to have little change over because you have most of your base talent filled , going for known talent cheaply is more likely to impact your roster currently. You can’t keep the same Old thinking of stocking late round draft picks for the future while holes in the current roster prevent you from a title NOW! Bills are not filling roster spots NOW with cheap 6 th round picks. They are also 6 th round picks for a reason. Unlikely to even make the future roster. Not talking about giving up early picks like first two rounds. It’s a no brainer to give a 6th for a guy like Ingram. Not sure I would have given up what LA did with their move for the DE from Denver, but their d roster is arguably better than ours and adding to Donald and Ramsey while the Rams look like a possible one seed makes a lot of sense. Have to look at each move individually and I bet that move pays off. Why shoikd the Bills hold onto some “ potential pick” for the 2022 season when you have o line and Arguably still issues getting sacks when everyone is touting how you are a Super Bowl contender THIS YEAR? We are almost a shoo-in for our division and trying to land a 1 seed with a bye and home field advantage. How many years does that scenario set up? Heck, The pats and the others could make big moves by next year and suddenly we are in a battle for the wild card , not the #1 seed! My point is make a move for THIS SCENARIO THIS YEAR BEcause it is so unique. Also just as likely for a street FA to make the roster as a 6 th round pick is with our roster. 🤔😊
-
Madden curse still playing a role!? Lol!
-
Well, thats the point really. Our guys Need time to grow. Our rookies are good but need experience and it’s a long season. We are not getting home easily on the rush and we all saw what Ingram did to us week one. No way you get that value from a 6 th in next years draft. The AFC window just opened a little wider with this weeks injury train. Very disappointing to miss on A guy the Steelers were willing to give to an in conference competitor for such a worthless pick ! Hurts them, helps you to acquire a rusher like that. Many on the board were lamenting how bad it was to miss him in FA. ITS A myth that you need all those picks, and the Chiefs just got better by fixing a main thing they lacked in our first matchup this year and they are showing they are not giving up ! Put jones and Ingram together and suddenly with our weak o line, they can pressure Josh again like last year. LA and the Chiefs know it’s a do it now league CURRENTLY, and just holding on to late picks that can’t make a deep roster anyhow makes no sense. If LA gets a Lombardi ,who cares about 2 years from now ? We stand pat and two years from now our vets are older or gone , our rookies are finally seasoned but another opportunity has passed and we manage to just tread water. Getting a bonafide rusher or a legit guard is all we could hope for in this current window and we just missed again on two rushers. It is still a CURRENT, OBVIOUS NEED and we could have jettisoned Butler once and for all. How did Tampa win last year , pressuring Mahomes ! How do you beat Brady,,,,by pressuring TB12 and having corners pressure in man coverage according to Rodney Harrison. Who knows how Browns back injury may progress etc,,,speculating, but hurt while lifting is usually either a muscle strain/ tear OR it can be a damaged disc which many times lingers as a slow heal or can worsen due to its poor blood flow. Should we keep sitting and depend on Ike or worse, have to bring Ford back in? We have a couple glaring weak areas , with an ability to make roster moves by jettisoning guys who are constantly inactive. Bean is interested , so why be cheap worrying about “ potential” in future draft picks and go get a known entity?! How many lombardies do we have so far hoarding draft picks AFTER having our true franchise QB !? We have our QB, it’s time to finish and polish the roster for this years playoffs which you know are a sure lock in a very unique year with the AFC EAST so weak. Worry about potential from late picks later when you already have the luxury of a Lombardi !! If the deadline passes today , and we stand pat while it seems there are deals within reach, it’s doubling down on your weaknesses you know are there at the halfway mark of the season, and why not try to fix things that are not improving on their own? Dont be arrogant by sitting as your competition makes moves ; Titans sign Peterson and with a jones fracture it’s not impossible Henry returns in Jan IF it heals. Looks like we missed on nailing a get - home rusher, so do something about that O line before we hear sometime like Browns injury is worse than expected. Come on magic Beane, find a guy to help Josh stand in the pocket! 😀👍

Great point ,,,,,maybe it was meant to be ,,,,,KC being exposed on national TV and not being completely up to the challenge! 😂👍. Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving team of usually un-humble guys! Kind of like having one’s pants drop in the chill of a November night and everything wants to get Back to where it’s warm , kind of an inward reflex! Yep,,,,KC got served that humble penis feeling even while avoiding the loss. They failed to leave the same sizable impression as the prior twos years ,,,,,,,,yep, a serving ol humble penis after performance inadequacy! IOS from Apple may be onto something after is latest “ soft “ ware update! 👍😀😂

Actually family practice and urgent care , so that covers just about any field to some extent. This iPad Pro is convenient but it really does take liberties with autocorrect. 😀😂
-
Man I quit reading after ossicles. I do a lot of medical articles , journal reading on here but honestly in 35 years of medicine I have never come across a humble penis! Definite oxymoron! Gonna quit typing while behind on this thing. ! 😀
-
Haha ! It was an iPad correction. Actually may be biased because it’s my iPad. Ossicles are bones of the middle ear that are attached to the tympanic membrane and convert those vibrations from sound/ pressure waves to the inner ear canals where they become neural impulses An example of an ossicle is the stapes. Man , iPads are terrible for making changes and making stuff up. Ossicles are in the middle ear.

Watching KC struggle this year just reenforces for me how special it was for the Bills to do to 4 straight Super Bowls. That’s a feat I hope is never matched or diluted by another team accomplishing / matching it. Well, unless this version of the Bills would do it but I don’t think with free agency it’s possible to keep the talent needed together that long or keep the coaching staff from being poached as well. Nice to see Mahomes and company eat a little humble penis ( wow this iPad.has a mind of its own): this year as it looks like they have come to just expect to show up and win.

Josh is pretty quiet , doesn’t want to say anything about the chiefs as they could meet again ! He is out of his element with the mannings but a lot more expressive in his pressers. He is pretty mature , well coached.

Caption this (while avoiding the ban hammer 😂)
DrPJax replied to Airbornetrooper's topic in The Stadium Wall
At the annual “ catch colon cancer early” halftime public service , Bills own Stefon Diggs showed his leadership skills by encouraging Milano that the exam is only “Mildly uncomfortable “ when he demonstrated the typical screening scope insertion ! It’s about like being “ in a hurricane and experiencing a little moisture” , as the ever supportive captain offered even more encouragement typical of the Bills family like environment! -
How do you deep down, really feel about this defense?
DrPJax replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
I feel ya cuz I think we all want to see them get some more sacks and be a legit run stoping team IN CRITICAL TIMES; they didn’t against Tennessee but they did come thru yesterday ! The one difference tho that I am really encouraged by is that this year they are CAUSING TURNOVERS and I think we lead the league at somewhere around a +13 differential! That is winning football and if they keep creating those 1-2 extra possessions in every game, I think it’s a formula we coukd actually bring a home a Lombardi with. At a pre game sponsored party in Pasadena for SB 27 I was at because of the ticket package, Hank Stramm was giving a talk on his opinion who would win, Bills or Cowboys. He said he had developed a formula he used to help him predict the winner. While he didn’t divulge his entire secret formula , he did say one part was turnover differential. He then went on to explain how he predicted the Cowboys were going to win SB 27 and he predicted a wide margin. I laughed thinking the game had passed him by and was ready to finally see the Bills third time was a charm story happen. Hank turned out to know football much better than I did and I never forgot how Important he thought turnovers differential was! This was back in early 93 , before we have been deluged with pregame shows, expert analysts, and analytics! Pretty craZy to have been at a dinner party with the guy who coined the matriculating the ball down the field line and get some insight into how football was their lives then. Classy , well dressed guy of course! Stood on a box behind his speaking podium, shorter than me and I’m 5’9”. 😀👍. True story so maybe this D can be real ! -
This is Karma for-that POS VrAble and his insulting attempt at recreating the music city throw up crap! Have no sympathy for the team, hey , it’s a contact sport and this is a non life threatening inconvenience for Henry. No one would be crying if Josh was out a far as other fan bases, eg the classless Bills statements on the fins message boards. Honestly , running the guy to death is a set up for stress fractures etc so it’s not surprising some injury might happen just from his volume of work. So let’s see how Vrable coaches now and let’s see how frequently Tammy hill does his little Jordan ballerina move.. An NFL season has to include team depth, so let’s see how good the TitAns are really prepared. They have tied the Boys as my most Hated rivals. When they did the miracle, I was still a season tic holder for Jax in 99 and was one play away from watching my fav Bills come down here and I know they would have beaten that Jax team ( just like the tacks did and their fans were obnoxious, shich says something as jags stands tend to be filled with southern red necks who started drinking Monday nights to get ready for Sunday games! 😀. ). Sounds harsh but I supported the Jax franchise starting two years before the first game , and 99 was my final year as I just hated the interference it played watching my Bills and I bet I gave away or wasted 25% of my club seat tics anyhow For a multitude of reasons. Was paying 250$ a seat for two club seats on the 35 yard line , 8 rows from the visitors bench and field because I wanted to support Jax and knew the guys who originally started the bid before the team was awarded to Wayne Weaver. It was just ridiculous to be surrounded by drunks who had little football knowledge and literally screamed obscenities at the visiting bench for the entirety of games! I digress! But the Titan fans who came down right after that MSM to be here were just as bad ,and I have to admit that any thing that makes them suffer ( esp after another last second loss), just keeps tipping that lady justice scale back toward our Bills after years of agony! Lol! Hey , after following the Bills since 63, anything that might help them get back to the SB and win one before I die is a good thing 😂🍸

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Scary, but Plenty of Treats
DrPJax replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Jax will be a bonafide , legit cake walk. Have been down here since before the. First year of the franchise and I can tell you this team currently is perhaps the worst ever and struggling with a college coach making a transition to the Nfl. I NEVER take a team or Bills game for granted as I have seen too many Billsy loses over almost 40 years of following them, but this team is a culture of losing that has been fostered by the current owner whose Main interest is his desire to be the London team and just assure his investment. He is clueless about football culture as an owner and has consistently made terrible choices for the franchise on the field product. It is unbelievable to see the most touted qb prospect in ages look unprepared, uninterested , emotionless etc. Bills have had issues down here sometimes , but they can sleep walk thru this game. Not worried. Josh Allen just announced as the third guest on tonight with the mannings ! Should be interesting! 😀 -
Do you think Saints will call about Trubisky?
DrPJax replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
No and it’s because we play them and if that happened and we lost to them, it would be a fireable offense that prob only Beane could survive. But Mitch needs this year mentally to get out from pressure and get his career back on track. Trust me , Mitch does not want to be anywhere else this year. Saints will be fine ; more likely Bree’s would return than Mitch get dealt there by Brandon. -
Yeah but this is the type of all in move that I think we wish the Bills would make on the afc side this year, esp now with Henry potentially done for the season. Does open the window more for us. Remember , all Miller has to do with 99 and Ramsey is help get a sack or strip sack etc for an extra possession for that offense and they could be a gsme or SB title. Should be some deals oit there to grab a guard , but sometimes it seems like we are a little too concerned about culture and offending guys on the team who are underperforming and may njot deserve their mental health above he teams playoff chances. Let’s see if Beane can help cement this O , or get an actual finisher on the d line prior to the deadline , or maybe he really still thinks they are a year away. Can’t be satisfied with how inconsistent that O is and its related to poor line play that should have been addressed in the off-season and not allowed to reach the debacle level it is now. They talk about all the support they have given Josh, yet they are letting him get hit, get balls batted , chased all day and requiring him to be the leading rusher as well. Afc is ripe for taking , why not shoot for it now? Rams move is admiral as NFL is a year to year , seize the present endeavor. Hey , how bout thise Bucks tho ; a little bit of a slow game against the nittony lions. Looks like we have a qb for the next year or two tho!
-
Milano had quite a few big hits today and at least broke up passes or caused some drops today. He looked to be back to 100% and had burst hitting people that he lacked when he first came back.

"Say Something Nice About Isaiah McKenzie"
DrPJax replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s not his fault he is not being used appropriately so far this year ! At least it didn’t bounce forward off that brick wall he has crafted with his hands and a chest after lifting all those weights ! A few Bills players made more mistakes than he did today ! He will be a great support on the PS when Stevenson comes off Ir and be a great moral support for the rookie in the playoffs ! That’s all I got so far. 😊 -
The “math” of going for 2 makes no sense
DrPJax replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
No different than Mcd choosing to go for it on 4 th in tenn; was going for a POSSIBLE win on the road in a difficult venue, esp since our O was not scoring at will. Remember we only had 3 pints at half time. We all know how many times this o can suddenly for no reason go into periods where they just make mental errors, stall drives for quarters at a time etc. With their record he was risking nothing and was actually thinking a little out of the box and it worked as far as getting the chance he was hoping for, right ? Why can’t we ever or rarely ever stop two point conversions ? I bet we are one of the lower successful teams at stoping those and paradoxically, we are also quite bad at converting them ourselves and both things played out again today. -
Let me enlighten you just a little so you can be a better human being and hopefully it will even benefit people who care about you interact with you for one reason or another; have you ever experienced something totally out of your control, something that happened that you didn’t chose or Cause , but you still did something reflexive like coughing , or breathing , or half a heartbeat , or have a bowel movement ( eg like diarrhea) …….you get the idea? It’s like you experiencing some emotion to me writing this, you can’t help but feel something right ,,,,like who is this ass speaking to me or whatever you are thinking or feeling right as you see this !? Have you ever had a sore throat or caught a cold ,,,,,and did you chose willfully to have the symptoms associated with those viral illnesses? Perhaps you have NEVER experienced an illness and you are the first perfect human being God has created ( just betting the odds are pretty much against that , but at least thought I would ask ! )? Have you met or heard about any human beings with diabetes for example while you have been at least physically present ? Well, that’s how mental health works ; just like your heart beating and your brain stem triggering you to breathe , symptoms occur , real physical symptoms, that you never chose or asked for, or have any control over at least at some point and for some duration! If this guy had diabetes that suddenly elevated his sugar to dangerous levels , would you think he was pathetic because that happened even tho he may have never been diagnosed with diabetes before the first episode of uncontrolled blood sugar levels threatened his life, or do you know it was only possible to be his fault or the reaction to something he did ? Just asking as I don’t know your life experience at all, in all sincerity. That’s the analogy with mental health. No one CHOSES to have their heartbeat race, feel short of breath , break out in a cold sweat etc. It’s call physiology , neurotransmitters ( natural chemicals ) creating uncontrollable symptoms and feelings, and they can mimic things like a heart attack where the only way to differentiate them is with actual blood work being analyzed. What a concept ! I realize you are probably just being funny or sarcastic , but wanted to take the chance to help someone less enlightened than you to understand how mental health and a human central nervous system work. It’s like you having no control over your love of the Bills,,,,most of the time it’s a glorious thing but then there are things like Hail Murray or Music City Miracle ! That should probably break it down to something we all can relate to. Happy Halloween , and I wish that guy all the best as one human to another and it took courage to explain that publicly so he at least has some good character traits to build on ! 🍸👍
